(( The original thread "so S.L.I.T. your own T.H.R.O.A.T." had some technical difficulties -- I replied to it yesterday, and when I hit "post", everything but the first page of the thread disappeared completely. At first I thought it was just a comp, but then Njack reported the same thing. Nobody deleted it accidentally -- I checked the site logs. Proboards Support wasn't much help, either. So what we're doing here is retrieveing as many posts as we can from the most recent posts section and continue on with the fight as best as we can. Unfortunately, since it only goes up to the 100 most recent posts, we can only salvage the little we have here. Wolfie and I pieced it together as best as we could in the right order, giving credit to the authors through quotes....if you're new, I would advise you to read the original thread, then this one, and if you have questions, talk to me, Wolfie, or another staffie. Sorry, guys....but hey, let's go crazy now that we're getting it back, kay? ) Shaw let out a grunt of pain as he was flung a few feet away from the other wolf. Focus! Focus! He leaped back up to his feet, and without thinking, randomly spurted forward and attempted to leap on the other wolf's back. He bared his fangs, preparing for contact. --- Nectar looked around, not seeing any of the wolves that had been fighting recently. Eh? They had seemingly managed to find somewhere else to fight, she supposed. At least, during the time period that she had to get her face out of the dirt, having leaped... er... facelong into the frenzy earlier. She looked around nervously, then shook her head rather violently. I need to contribute, or I don’t deserve to be a warrior! Nectar growled to herself. At the same time, she spotted a spooky looking pseudo ghost ketchup wolf thing that did not seem to be involved in any conflict at the moment. If she had taken a moment to think about it, she probably would have chickened out. But she didn’t. So, Nectar sprang at the wolf, hissing like a cat. Is that even allowed? (Sorry, had a bit too much fun with Nectar's portion of the thingy. Just to let ya know, Wolfie, that's Macabre she's springing at. Yay for description.)

( xD Lovely adjectives, Njack. ) (( This thread is depressing. Acca's right. This used to take us days to double, triple what we have here already. Not months GIVE ME YOUR BIG GUNS PEOPLE!! )) YOUR DREAM VACATIONArachna's ears flicked sharply at the barbs aimed from Shade's tongue (an instrument suddenly turned mobile razor). She paused in the tight inward twirlings, watching him through a slitted cat's gaze. "Oh really then, Yozoran? Circles? Circles, or triangles? Or rectangles? Hell, do you even know your shapes? Hm? Well, do you?" She was grinning vividly at him, black creased lips pulled back over the tops of her browned gums and flashing incisors. Her front teeth were still netted with fleshy leftovers and bloody droplets -- souvenirs from her vacation into flushed running bloodstreams. A destination so close to being revisited. Ah, sweet paradise...The white wolf was instantly sprayed with dustings of blood stirred up underpaw. Rivulets sprang into her eyes, and she stood, blinded momentarily by the flood of another wolf's blood -- Hellfirian and Siverian sweat and lifeblood mingled to form a collective excrement of lupine wardance. She shook herself free of the red-hued vision, stained eyes scanning desperately for Nectar. No, no, no, I lost her! What if---She caught sight of Hellfirians at the edge of the clearing, plowing into her packmates undeterred and unchallenged. Her blood clotted and hardened to cooled steel, and she melted into an wintry blur as she rocketed towards her chosen foe: Kill.MY HOSTAGE REFUGE((sing with me? anybody? "So what if you can see, the darker side of me..." ))

((Nice njack x3 I completely LOLed at your description of my screwed up wolfie, and I’m sure he will be much pleased! & lol Siv—you tempt me to break out into song… what the heck, I’m hyper enough: “…NO ONE WILL EVER CHANGE THIS ANIMAL I HAVE BECOME! Help me believe it’s not the real me. Somebody help me tame this animal!” =D Anyone want to continue the song? ))SAFE FROM PAIN AND TRUTH AND CHOICE… Scarlet discharge dampening his fur, Temper emitted a roar of disapproval when his adversary recovered. His rage only increased in ferocity when Shaw returned with fangs drawn. After moaning when incisors sliced at his skin, Temper released an ireful howl. He leapt back before spring forward from his hind legs, attempting to crash into his opponent… and hopefully send Shaw to the ground. Truth be told, as soon as Arachna’s searing retort reached his ears, Shade’s loathing augmented and nearly drove him to bloodthirsty madness once more. But he denied himself the primitive urge to avenge his battered dignity with tooth and claw, and instead curled his lip in a scornful scowl. Looking upon his enemy with contempt, he finally shifted his lips to appear amused rather than wounded by his opponent’s response. “That’s all you can do, then? Criticize my observations? Very well—I understand. Your childish mind can only think of so many insults… after all, you’re only a puphood bully,” Shade woofed, narrowing his eyes in mocking. “Oh, I’m sorry—I’m not being accurate enough, am I? I forgot. You’re a puphood bully with a couple of fancy fire tricks!”More silent than ever, the lumbering beast of a wolf swept through the crowd, his tired eyes scanning for flesh to be seized by his slavering jaws… But, as it turned out, the packwolves came to him. A shrill cry causing the massive brute to swivel his ears about, he uttered a barely audible grunt of surprise when weight was thrown against him. Staggering a few steps from the brunt of impact, Macabre turned about to rest his dark coals on the form of a she-wolf. …this is…odd. While he had expected a rabid, experienced male as his opponent for battle, he also noticed that the smaller fae was ready for battle. Thus, with a twitch of his maw, Macabre took a step back. Then, suddenly, he surged forward. Using the bulk of his muscles, he attempted to ram into Nectar, aiming to lift her up in the air a bit. You want to fight me, do you? Well, you asked for it, little girl!—eh?No more did blood soak her chin; instead, Kill was divided from her prey under the influence of a frenzy of knives. Rolling to dodge from her unseen assaulter, Kill found herself staring into the eyes of a particularly enraged packwolf. After grumbling about something along the lines of ‘not being able to finish the kill’, she twisted her maw into a distorted grin. “The more the merrier… ‘bout time I met someone who could fight back!” Leaping back toward her foe, Kill slackened her jaws to reveal her weapons of choice, and prepare for further sensations of the slaughter. …AND OTHER POISON DEVILS

(I can't sing lyrics, even if a dentist, a barber, and a carpenter walked into a bar.) Shaw recoiled from the hit, stumbling back a few steps, but this time, not falling down. He gritted his teeth, and shoved off with his back legs, attempting to ram the other wolf. If they weren't careful, this might turn into some mosh pit or football analogy. That would be bad, right? --- "Oof!" Nectar went flying, then hit the ground, head over tail over head over tail over thud...er, head. She jumped back to her feet, head smarting somewhat from the impact with some hard obstacle analogue. Eyeing the wolf, she let out a small growl, sounding somewhat between a lawnmower and a blender. “Rrr...” And then she jumped at him again, attempting to hang on to him with her claws and... er, do something. Yeah. That’s the ticket.

( I CAN'T ESCAPEE MYSELFFF ;; so many timessss I've lieddd!) A WORK IN PROGRESSA sly smile lined Arachna's lips as she regarded Shade, head tilted. "No, I was just wondering whether your comprehension was merely two-dimensional. And I was right -- you wouldn't even begin to understand the force that drove us here, what still keeps us here. Idiot. Just like the rest of them -- those who think we're back in our glory day. Know this, Shadewalker -- we're not back from anything. This is a new era, and none of your old tricks will sever our hold. But, speaking of two dimensional thinkers...." She snickered, tossing away his insults with a flick of her tail and leaping, instead onto a rocky overhang near the Twilight tree, looking over Shade with a gaze of strange excitement and wonder. "I can't say the same for you and your packs. Legends don't die, Shade. But their legacies do. You've got it all wrong, see. But you're not the first. Death and Flame -- rockfall. Siveria and Verlust -- rockfall. Shade....rest in peace." Arachna lashed out at the rocks at the edge of her boulder, and down it fell, fainting in slow motion towards Shade. Annelise, limping unsteadily through the bushes, desperately wadding cobwebs around a paw for any wolf who may need them, froze as gray thunder rolled only a short distance from her. The victorious sly spider fled the seen as the rocks dislodged and prepared to free fall. She was fighting Shade.... But the rocks are slow....she didn't plan it well enough...he'll make it out fine, damnit....he'll be fine... But nothing she told herself could keep her from pelting through the brush as fast as her legs could carry her. "SHADE! SHADE, MOVE!"Sharp fangs of the beast raked through Freya's flank, but she peeled away before they could sink in deeper. She stumbled backward, watching the creature with blazing adrenaline thought. She's a tough one.....she's been around for a while. Freya growled deep in her throat, auds flicking at the phrases that left the demon, more acknowledgement that the beast had sounded rather than spoke, neither of which was an allowable action in Freya' s mind. The young warrior rounded and lunged towards Kill's flank. Again, roaring, Regulus tore away from Kar -- loathsome Kar, who had the advantage of heart even in the scorching of battle. In the mind of Regulus, pyres ringed around him, and everything was set aflame -- the sky, the earth, the pale waters of the still Twilight Lake, the branches of the Eternal Tree, every being around him -- except the wolves of his coven were lighted with maddening laughter while the packs burned in truer flame. His eyes were blood and wiry with pink veins, pulsating with questionable sanity. His jaws snapped, reptile like, as Kar launched his attacks, though blood sprayed from fresh wounds in Regulus' figure. YOU BLEED JUST LIKE YOU PUKE WHILE RUNNING A MILE(Shadewalker makes me think of Skywalker xD )

((lol, Luke Shadewalker! & Nectar is very amusing to watch when she’s fighting, njack X3 Oh, and: “But there’s still rage inside… somebody get me through this nightmare! I CAN’T CONTROL MYSELF!”))I’LL BE THE ONE TO PROTECT YOU FROM YOUR ENEMIES… A solid mass slamming into his flank, ribs flexed and eyes narrowed. Temper staggered, feeling the pain of impact radiating from where Shaw had rammed into him. Without realizing it, a stream of foul words exited his jaws, before he swiped madly at his attacker… hindered slightly by the throbbing pain that now cursed his side. Scoffing dismissively at Arachna’s taunts, Shade continued to follow his foe with a rigid stare, never once allowing his back to face the viperous femora. Then, in a few moments, the she-wolf slithered away on spidery legs, only to appear among the contents of a stony outcrop. Due to the severity of his wounds, Shade did not pursue, and instead remained at the heels of the mound and looked on. While initially unsure as to Arachna’s intentions, each word that spilled from her maw painted a canvas of alarm before his eyes. And then there was the sealing fate; the final confirmation to what the bloodied phantom was planning to do. With a screech of claws, the stones were dislodged, and slowly began to edge into a descent. Obviously, one’s instinctive reaction would be to clear out of there. But when Shade moved to leap, invisible hands grappled for his legs and dragged him back into flame. Pain shot through his limbs with every swift movement that he attempted to make, and with the ominous crackling of stones slipping from their positions panicking his senses, Shade barely managed to shift a few inches before he collapsed. “SHADE! SHADE, MOVE!”“Annelise…?” He glanced toward her, and saw that she was rushing toward him. An angel, he saw, with such beauty that it could absolve both of them of their sins… but with every bound, he realized that she was becoming in danger of the cascading rocks herself, and he would not allow such a wolf to die at his paws. Sending a silent prayer to his father to give him strength, Shade half-limped, half-dragged his way toward Annelise…but was cut short in his flight when one of the boulders landed on top of his hind leg. Yelping sharply, Shade was pulled to the ground, nearly out of range of other stones. But only nearly… Staring down at the female he had initially regarded as fragile, Macabre nearly began performing the one action that he was formerly incapable of doing—laughing. But he managed to restrain himself, and only allowed a very small semi-smirk to distort his solemnity. Nectar was hardly intimidating, with her small figure and a growl less ferocious than the sound a refrigerator makes when it is defrosting… but when Macabre felt claws slice into the flesh of his shoulder, he quickly realized that the young wolf was seriously intent on engaging battle with him. …eh, at least the kid has spirit.Twisting his head, he attempted to snap at her legs, but at the same time finding it difficult to reach her, considering where she had latched onto his body. An odd pleasure washed over her senses in reaction to the sound of anger. The thrill of war, the sensation of blood spraying fur… There’s no substitute Kill thought, her tongue subconsciously swirling around her jaws. But when fangs pierced skin, Kill retracted her thoughts and snarled in response. Teeth bit like bullets, and Kill was intent on making Freya receive a similar experience. Reaching over her shoulder, she attempted to dislodge her foe with fangs, one foreleg raised and ready to insert additional swipes if necessary. This guy must be rabid or something!Kar jumped back, beginning to take precaution as Regulus’ temper seemed to increase. But he felt the jolt of daggers slicing into his skin, and inwardly, Kar wondered how long the battle would go on for… Is this how it’s going to be? Keep fighting until one side kills the other? What kind of world is this, anyway…Deciding to exercise a new tactic, Kar raced around Regulus in a wide circle, bouts of adrenaline fueling his activities. Then, lunging forward, he attempted to land onto Regulus’ back and attack the skull. If I keep dodging and biting, this will never be over with!…AND ALL YOUR DEMONS

I BEG TO DIFFERGray stones cascaded in a grumbling thunder -- the storm began, and Shade was caught in it. Frantic eyes wide, Annelise streaked through the rockfall, the earth seeming to tremble beneath her paws. Dust curled off in thick clouds from the crowd. "SHADE! SHADE -- oh god...." His name stuck in her throat, pools gathering in the corners of her eyes. Not him. Not his leg....not him....his leg....too....The rock was large, foreboding with it's pointed crag, staring her down as her chest heaved for air. The rumble still came overhead -- the rocks were coming. A thought pricked her spine, hairs standing on end, frayed as her nerves. If we can get out of here safe....it'll scatter their forces. We can head back to camp, regroups, and send messengers to the other packs....we can attack them in a few days if we can send spies to their camp. "Shade.....Shade, hold on!"She backed up a few paces, gritted her teeth, and charged at the rock. Slam. The flesh was brittle between her teeth, but she'd broken skin -- blood droplets oozed across her maw, spoils of war. Swift claws swiped across her ears and she was free from the btie, twisting away at the slashing foreclaws. Taking up a neutral stance -- one that was ready to react to her foe's action -- she bent low to the ground, crouching, coiled -- as if to spring-- WHAM.The stone-faced opposition gnashed into her flank, thrust her mercilessly to the ground, and trapped her there beneath it's tanned sides. Dark blood spurted from the wound. Images danced around the edges of her blurry sight, dark smears against a gray-brown canvas. Sessile but in denial, she flailed her limbs desperately, heaved for air, coughed and sputtered, barked sharply to her packmates. Her fight for consciousness was a battle slanted against her. MAKE ME AN OFFER

((My posts were pretty pointless...so there isn't much to salvage. I'll just write something newer.))
Melina's blood flecked pelt shook with confusion. Things seemed to slow and she felt nothing but numbness. As a new leader, this battle was definitely a proving omen. Was she to be the wrong one? She dodged a random wolf attack and crouched low, scanning the clearing. Blood was pooled everywhere on the ground, its metallic scent filling her lungs with despair. She groaned, feeling faint. Never before had Melina ever experienced a battle like this. She felt exhilerated, yet very afraid. Backing away to a bush, the alphess of the Siverians weaved her way through the fray, her muscles tensing with every painful step. There were so many wolves around her, biting, wanting to kill. The urge to win emenated from each wolf, and Melina spotted her target. Regulus. She charged forward, adreneline pumping through her veins, rhythmatic to her heartbeat. With a snarl, she jumped, aiming for Regulus's back.

Turning rapidly, Moonset thought she smelled a stench of blood in the air. She had a keen sense for smelling, and the screeches of battle hung in the mist, coming from Twilight Clearing, snding shockwaves pulsing through her body. Her ming swam with confusion, and her instincts told her to follow the stench of fire and blood, to the battle. With so much experience and training, Moonset felt exhillirated by teh thought of sinking her teeth into an enemy's. Even if this was a idfferent Pack's battle, her mind and heart was longing to seek it out, as if she were being called. Moonset had never felt like this before, the urge to fight, but this sound and smell of antagonism between wolves was different than other battles, forcing her to get a closer look. (Sorry this is soooo late. Don't know if it'll even work. And if I screwed your plot up I apologize. I can delete this post any time... )

(( Moonset, any contribution you make is great -- and a plot is no fun if everyone can't take a part in creating it. You're fine )) Regulus parted from his tangled dance with Kar, knocked by the flying form of a wolf he'd yet to sight, a wolf he did not recognize. As he barreled upon him, it became clear that from that moment on, he would never forget. Regulus reared, finally recovered from the shock of the wind leaving his lungs, then fell back, aiming to smash his pursuer under his enourmous weight. Burn, she-wolf! I'll bleed you dry, bleed you dry! His wild eyes glared upward at the stars as he forced his energies into smashing harder into the ground. He was momentarily absentminded, forgetting Kar's prescence with the prescence of a new fight. Nightshade's eyes fluttered open, the bloody scene of carnage still roaring on around her. Her libs were tendered, brusised, battered -- there would be no more fight in this battle for the Siverian's beta. Beta....agh, as soon as we get out of here, I have to remind Melina about getting us a proxy....I don't remember the last time we actually had one....Riley....Riley and Dashina were our last ones....oh, and then there's that whole obstacle of convincing the pack she's really our alphess. I think they'll just be relieved to know we finally have one....shouldn't cause too much ruckus....Nightshade had moved perhaps a few precious inches closer to the shelter of the shrubbery. Just inches away before she could collapse in relative safety until a pack wolf found her... A foreign scent washed over her suddenly -- the scent of a Sheeran. hope pricked Nightshade as she dragged her bodice into the grass. "Help! Anyone!"

Moonset gaped. Eyes wide, the Twilight clearing was filled with fighting wolves, Pack wolves. Her whole life flashed before her eyes, quicker than she could blink, and as her blood surged with the adrenaline of battle, she saw a wolf in the grass. "Help! Anyone!" Moonset was still gaping, confused and lost. What was this fight between? Then she realized, out of the Pack scent, she scented the scent of fire. A stinging scent, like the whole place was burning to the ground. As the ground below her flowed with blood, a minute passed by of gore and fight, she crouched in the grass next to the wolf she had seen. A Siverian scent, she though, and before she realized her thoughts started becoming words. "What in Hellfire is going on here?" She screamed out of terror and rage, but her raised voice was overcome by the hollars and screeches of wolves. Then she realized. Hellfire. Were the Hellfirians really about? Was there really an attack of Hellfire wolves? Moonset's breatheing grew rapid, and she struggled to talk to the wolf in the grass. She flicked her tail to get the wolf's attention, noticing the wolf had pleaded for help. "Wh-what's wrong?" Moonset spoke with the bravery and crack of battle in her voice.
(Thanks. Was Nightshade supposed to be tricking Moonset, or calling to her? I don't know if I did it right. xD OMG I am so confused.)

(( We'll have to wait and see )) A bewildered, floundering, screaming Sheeran. Brilliant. Of all the valiant warriors you could've sent me....Twilight, you sent me a Sheeran? The goodie-two-shoes-es will be in denial before the night's over. "You! You there, Sheeran fae! Go back to your pack and get your alpha, your herb healer, and bring them back here. Those wolves in there are relentless. Oh, and I'm inching closer to a death I'm not quite ready for, so some medicinal help would be much appreciated," she barked hoarsely, falling into a coughing fit almost immediately after she'd spoken. Aw, Hellfire, now I'm sick, too?! Damn....what has the world done to me lately? Her mind flashed past Iver, the lost pups, the secrets, the effort to bring a new alpha to her pack, her own age starting to catch up with her... What if I die tonight? The prickly nature of the Siverian beta faded into cold fear in her eyes. She bore her gaze into the Sheeran, willing her to understand. Now is not the time for screaming, now is the time for acting!

Looki'maninja For once in this battle, Shaw managed to dodge Temper's flailing claws. He quickly swiped back with claws of his own, but alas, it usually doesn't create pain when you attack thin air about two feet in front of your opponent. Shaw growled at his own stupidity, and made a small zig zag forward as he darted at his enemy, claws outstretched. --- "Graaghghghgh." Nectar held on tight to Macabre, not daring to let go. Thinking that it might be useful, she decided to bite him somewhere on the back or shoulder or wherever she was holding on to... she wasn't sure. So she reared her head back slightly, took a deep breath and EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW... Did she just lick him? --- Ligua burst onto the scene, in all his lack of glory. Whoo hoo! I really don't have anything else to say!

((njack, your wolves truly have a gift for fighting XD))I’LL BE THE ONE TO PROTECT YOU FROM A WILL TO SURVIVE… Fumbling about in his pain, Temper uttered an additional thread of swears when none of his blows met his target. He was vulnerable in this state, but Shaw had missed, which gave Temper time to recover. Straightening himself, Temper’s confidence began to return to him, and he began to prepare another offensive swipe. But, as if on cue, Shaw had bolted toward him in a swerving path, which took the lumbering brute off guard. Temper retreated a step, raising a cautionary paw (claws included) to help defend himself if Shaw intended to ram into him. At least, he hoped it would help. He was too distracted by his enemy’s movements to think of any other response. An exquisite pain ricocheted up Shade’s leg for a moment. But it was soon replaced by an overwhelming numbing sensation… and not the comfortable ‘doctor numbs a patient to prevent pain’ type of numb. It was more of a complete loss of feeling, as if his leg was suddenly nonexistent rather than being crushed by a enormous boulder. Already dazed from previous blood loss, Shade slid his pupils toward the top of his eyes and stared at the blur bolting toward him. Annelise…?SLAM!A brackish fluid drizzled from his tongue and onto the plot of earth that was supporting his skull. Everything seemed to bend unnaturally and Shade had the urge to vomit amongst his disorientation. But the stone on his leg was rolling away, and sensation was beginning to return to him… although, with the agony that was soon to greet him, Shade almost wished that the stone had killed him right then and there. “…Anne… lise…” he wheezed softly. Macabre found himself struggling. Even if he possessed the ability to be amazingly flexible (which he, sadly, did not), Nectar had latched onto an impossible-to-reach area; more specifically, she was clinging to the joining point of his neck and shoulders. He winced, however, as something sharp pinched the skin between his shoulder blades. Irritated with the smaller wolf’s assaults, Macabre opted to solve the problem. He crouched close to the ground and rolled onto his back, aiming to crush Nectar with his superior body weight. My apologies, little girl… but you asked for it.Kill swiveled about, her orbs already gleaming with imaginings of triumph over her foe. And there she was, right where she wanted her—Freya pinned beneath her, with nothing but shrill pleads for aid and flailing appendages between the packwolf and Kill’s lust for murder. Lunging to deliver the final blow, Kill was cut short in her assault—Lance had driven into her side, howling words of spite to curse all Hellfirians. Startled by the sudden attack, Kill felt herself rolling off her original prey with a few new marks scarring her visage. Lance glanced toward Freya before advancing toward Kill, offering a worried, “Are you alright?”His breathing dwindling in its enthusiasm and frequency, Kar weakly aimed another swipe toward Regulus. But, to his surprise, another wolf interrupted to do the work for him. And, fortunately for Kar, it was a packwolf who had burst onto the scene. “…thank you,” he whispered softly, doubting if Melina heard him, but too exhausted to find out. He crouched in a choked cough, seizing the opportunity to catch the breath that he desperately required. Two of us? I may be worn out, but maybe if both of us worked together…Not willing to spend another moment in inaction, Kar inhaled deeply before charging after Regulus and Melina. The pulsating of open wounds was distracting, but he fought the urge to limp and retire from the battle. Can’t stop now. Not yet, when I still have a little more to offer… Leaping with a snarl, Kar joined Melina in the assault on Regulus, hoping to distract the brute with a swipe or two. …AND A VOICE OF REASON

(I know, right? ) Oooof! Shaw crashed into Temper's paw - claws included, and would you like fries with that? A couple of gashes ripped open part of his side. He let out an involuntary growl as his momentum carried him forward. So fortunately, or unfortunately as the case may be, he also managed to crash into the rest of Temper as well. --- Nectar scrabbled with her paws at the back of Macabre's pelt as the ground behind her rushed up to meet her. And she had a feeling it wasn't for a hug. That would just be weird. A splitting pain pierced her ear, and she winced at the excessive pressure. She was getting squished, and worse, HER TONGUE WAS STILL STUCK. She extended her claws on her right front paw and made a half-hearted slash with them as she tried to get out. I can probably stand the pressure for like... thirty more seconds... I've gotta get out.
