At the heart of the camp, a silver-ebony she-wolf paced in staccato rhythm. Her eyes were low, burning with an emotion unreadable at this precise angle, but her pelt bristled like the torns of a porcupine, and her aura was crackling red fire. Anger lit in Luma's movements. She turned sharp on her heels and began her pace again, steps ringing fitfully against the surrounding silence of the clearing, identical to the thought that throbbed over and over in the sore temples of her head. How? How could we let an opportunity like this go! She tried to pinpoint a certain object of their search that infuriated her the most, but when she tried, several came to mind and the sweltring heat sloshed in her stomach. Why didn't they call us when they saw Eurasia? Why in Hellfire did they let her go! We almost got ourselves killed! What part of 'she killed your fricken packmate' do they not understand?

Lilly Pad Sheerian, Herb Healing Neophyte. [/center] ------------------------------ Lilly Pad noticed Luma came back to the camp after they went to retrieve Missing from the paws of BloodMist. She was a bit scared to ask but she manages to ask the warrior. "Did you find Missing and bring her back?" the neophtye really had to ask. It was sorta her fault because Missing was with her during the battle for assistance for just in case something happened to Lilly during the fight. Mainly for to get some herbs. Her eyes were worried. Lilly waited for a reply.

Featherswift walked into the clearing with a limp. Her huge cut burned on her side and she winced every time any of those paws hit the ground, moving the muscles. She'd lost so much blood after that skirmish she'd collapsed for the first time she ever could remember. That didn't matter though nor did the pain. She had met her friend again and knew she was safe. Eurasia. Questions echoed through her head though asking if she could trust this wolf. It always came to that Eurasia had killed Moonset. Featherswift had just learned this and the Blood mist's had proven that theory. She shook her head in frustration and looked up to see Luma pacing. From what she could tell, Luma was very angry and upset at something. Probably the whole of the search team, she thought. Featherswift sat down a few paces from the fae and watched with deep green eyes.

Knot trotted into camp, a little disoriented. He wasn't sure what happened to him, or what happened to that wolf that might or might not have attacked him. It seemed all a blur.
If he had known, he would probably have blamed it on his lazy RPer, who hadn't logged on for like, a month. But he didn't know. So there.
"Hey, Luma. Uh..." He fell silent, as if he had just noticed that Luma seemed a little... angry. Seriously, little wasn't the right word, though. "Angry at us? Me?"
"Honestly, I probably shouldn't have said anything," he muttered under his breath. "But eh, if she gets mad at me, she gets mad at me. Whatever happened during that search... probably wasn't what any of us wanted, so..."
Knot also noted the fact that he tended to mutter more to himself than to others.

Slowly but surely, her searchers were slinking from their respective places of silence. She glanced between Knot and Featherswift, keeping her tone tighly under control. A twinge of guilt coursed through her at Knot's question. It was true, she was a blazing fury...but events had gotten completely out of hand. She knew now that they would have to plan much differently for their next move. If this were any other situation, I would ask to have new warriors on my team...but these are the best we have. Everyone makes mistakes...we'll just have to learn to make less of them. "Yes," she agreed, voice soft, but still strained. "I am extremely unhappy with how things went." She looked from Knot to Featherswift, unsure of what to say to the female. Many emotions were read on Featherswift's face, but remorse was not swimming there. Should I tell her not to come along? She's friends with our enemy! That does need to be handled...we either have to nip it in the butt here and now or...or I don't know what will happen. It'll make our pack twice as more vulnerable...we're already missing a wolf! "Featherswift," she murmured gently, "we need to speak about Eurasia."

She looked at Luma with concern as the female continued to pace. Knot then came in and asked if Luma was angry or something. Finally she looked toward Knot and her. The fae looked more angry as her eyes looked at them. Then she said, "Featherswift, we need to speak about Eurasia," in a murmur. Featherswift locked eyes with hers. She was confused. What about Eurasia? Her friend had proved her true colors, she still would protect her old pack mates. Eurasia was no cold blooded murderer. It must have been the scent of blood everywhere. That would make any wolf crazy... she thought quickly. Featherswift wasn't going to admit that her friend was a betrayer. Would a betrayer protect her pack mates? Of course they wouldn't so why was Eurasia not liked anymore.
Her eyes looked at Luma's in confusion and perhaps a little of denial...

No response. This further fired her fury, but also stirred the deeper cinders of the matter. Eurasia had been declared an enemy by their alpha, Yago. One of the basics of pack life was that the alpha's word was to be followed; alpha's word was pack law. If Featherswift can't understand at least that fundamental factor...how can I let this continue? Driving deeper still, Featherswift's actions made it clear that not only did she not believe Eurasia an enemy, she believed her a friend. A friend who kills an able-bodied, loyal packmate....and leaves me with one who is questionably loyal. If this persists, it could lead to Eurasia twisting her so that she becomes a spy amongst us, not a Sheeran warrior... She stared hard at the warrior as she spoke, her thoughts unreadable, save for the stern tone in which she spoke, "I'm questioning whether you are fit to be part of this patrol," she admitted.

Gade walked in, squinting his bloody eye. "Shoot. I'm in for it." He muttered slightly. He had been the one who led all the groups into one large one. Of course, it did help against the Hellfirians. Still, it stirred up a lot of commotion, and Luma was sure to be angry. In fact, she was. She paced back and forth, fury and disapointment in his eyes. The whole group had forgotten they were looking for Missing, not talking about Eurasia. The fae paced back and forth, glaring at his friend Featherswift. Maybe he should stay back instead of being yelled at, because that was the last thing he wanted. Slowly, his paws led him backwards... --- All the while, someone had followed them back to camp, eyes curious and longing, homesick and hoping. They were covered by a blanket of green summer leaves, and she remained still as a mouse hiding from the hawk. She blinked once, the glittering green eyes locked on one particular wolf. A copper wolf with white. The fae whom she couldn't bare to leave, whom she couldn't stay away from after seeing her, the one who had drawn her to follow the Sheerans back to camp. Her presence would dearly punish her as an enemy and loner, most likely get her killed, and her heart raced with the fear of beig spotted. She was several yards away from them, and they were all but tiny dots, and she longed to be able to hear them. Fortunately, none had seen her follow behind. Eurasia waited and watched them, thinking of her goal, eyes not wandering an inch away from Featherswift.

She was in disbelief! Why was her loyalty being questioned? That's what Luma was implying when she asked if Featherswift was fit for the patrol. It knocked her out of her confusion into anger. Featherswift respected Luma, but this was to far. Her fur began to prickle just a bit. She completely locked eyes with the other fae. "I am fit for this patrol and as for asking that inside question about if I'm loyal to my pack, I think you know the answer. I've been with Sheeran pack for long while yet, and I will forever be loyal to it and its wolves. This search was meant to find Missing and that's what I planned and am going to do," she said calmly with a little edge to it from her outrage of what Luma had implied. Featherswift would forever be loyal to her pack and would do anything for it.

(new subplot right here xD Featherswift vs. Luma! haha...)
A hysteric laugh escaped her, she rolled her eyes to face Featherswift, her pacing pattering to a sudden halt. The anger that rolled with fanged and furious jaws reared forth inside of her. A hundred thousand arrows pointed at Featherswift, hostility in their aim. Here's this she-wolf, whining about how Eurasia's her friend, well my friend was fricken murdered by that--- Oh, there's a storm brewin' here honey... I'll kill Eurasia myself! That traitor needs to be put in the ground once and for all! OH NO SHE DIDN'T! "It's funny," she giggled, tone high-pitched and somewhere in between tangles of stress and strain and the deflating results of their search, "I thought you said you planned to help find Missing? Oh, you're going to? When? When you feel like it? When you're not busy kow-towing with the enemy? You're right, that search was meant to find Missing, the search we went on days ago. Looks like your plans are a bit skewed. And yes, I do question your loyalty. Regardless of how you find Eurasia -- heck, go ahead and be best buddies -- your priority is to your packmates! I'm sure Missing really appreciated your stunning display of pack loyalty!" She whirled around, fuming. A familiar scent reached her nostrils -- Gade was edging away from their gathering. She didn't blame him; she was disappointed with all of them, but they might not understand her true anger was towards Featherswift. I didn't know Moonset long, but I owe her this small justice.... "Gade, you can come back. We have to plan our next move, anyway," she murmured softly, voice calmed and measured. It's not like me to lose my self-control....I suppose treason would be the exception here.

Luma began talking towards her in a giggle. Was she going insane? Clearly, Luma had lost control in front of her pack mates. Her response though made Featherswift ferious. All respect towards the fae was gone in her eyes. This wolf didn't understand what she was talking about at all. Then she whirled around and called Gade into the clearing. His scent had reached her as well, but she didn't want him involved with Luma's madness right now. All Featherswift could do was reply to the retort she had gotten. "Don't tell me that my priority is to my pack! I already know that and I live by it. Yes, Eurasia was and still is my friend. She did a bad thing by killing Moonset, but did your really know the truth behind it? Do any of us? The last time I checked before our fellow pack mate died, she was goading on Eurasia. Oh? And what if the Bloodlust got to her? That would make any wolf not understand what was going on in the first place. Missing is missing, we all know that, but why would it only be my fault? Its the all our faults for not finding her yet. We split up and you got attacked without even calling for us! I show my loyalty a lot, if you haven't seen. Do you truly know everything thats going on? I would never betray this pack. Your not hearing me correctly about Missing either, I am and was. Not just were. And while we are agruing I bet Missing is just getting more harder to find with all the time we have wasted," she finished with a bark. Luma was ticking her off, and she was probably the only wolf who had in a while. Featherswift was mad and frustrated. What had she done wrong?

Luma turned slowly now, calmer after the thick of her anger had already been unleashed. She blinked steadily, unflinching at Featherswift with calculating eyes. "Featherswift," she murmured softly, gently even, "Dallas and I did howl for you and the others when we were attacked." She gazed at the female carefully, analyzing her behavior. She thinks I'm crazy...I think she's a traitor. I guess it's a mutual feeling, at least. "We called, and no one came, because you stopped to talk to your friend. Like you said, it's about Missing, not Eurasia. So why is it that you're bringing the debate about Eurasia's involvements here? I didn't pin any blame on you, I'm just saying that maybe if we had our plans straight, we could've found Missing and brought her home. I'm your packmate, too. I screamed, and you didn't come..." she turned, voice completely even. Her eyes ran across the others wistfully, "no one came. We're lucky to be alive, all of us." She sighed, resigned and weary. "This is wearing on all of us...maybe hang back on this one, Featherswift. Take some time off."

Her ears went up completely and flicked to make sure she had heard everything right. They had howled? She wasn't the one who had brought up Eurasia, Luma had! Time off?! Hundreds of emotions swam through her. She was only trying to help her pack and yet they didn't really trust her. She gave them trust, but she got none back. It hurt to realize they thought she wasn't loyal. Friendship was special, she had been taught, and should always be there. Only two wolves had befriended her, Eurasia and Gade. It felt wrong that no one felt the same way about Eurasia and now she was being questioned. Featherswifts' ears drooped and so did her tail. If they didn't want her help then she wouldn't argue. It was their view and she couldn't win against Luma. "I'm sorry we didn't hear you call Luma. Your my pack mate and I should have been more alert. Just one thing," she said and then looked straight at Luma again in the eyes. "I was only trying to help, but what if it had been Moonset instead? Any wolf in bad condition needs to be helped when found or isn't that against a formality code set by the Golden Wolf,'Do unto others'?...........I'll stay if you want, but never question my loyalty to the pack again. That's an insult and I won't take it from anyone," she ended with a sad tone. No one understood her completely and if they thought they did then the were sadly mistaken. She looked at each member again and began to pad off, out of the clearing. Her tail was trailing and she felt horrible. One thing she didn't know was who was in the darkness outside of it.

She wrinkled her nose slightly at Featherswift, taken aback slightly by the reference. When was the last time someone quoted ol' Goldie-Locks? Probably the last time he showed his face here before abandoning us....Sheerans are known as the compassionate ones...it makes us softer, but also wiser. We avoid unneeded battles...but in the past....Sheera helped a Blood Mist runaway.... "That's all very well, Featherswift, but our ancestors testify that that montra didn't hold out very well when they were around....our pack comes first....but as Sheerans, we have always been the mirror opposite of our Blood Mist origins; we've always been compassionate to a far extent. I suppose I'll let you decide whether or not to come along, but keep that all in mind. Compassion is a wonderful thing....but things are happening fast...we need to focus on Missing before Blood Mist grows too powerful to penetrate. Let's end it at that."

(Huh. Is this thread over?)
Knot volunteered weakly, "I tried to help... Got run over by a Blood Mist though, and don't remember much after that..."
He eyed Luma a little cautiously, not wanting to inflame her or anything. "Perhaps we should, er, summarize our search. So we know where we've searched, the wolves all of us met, and what information, if any, that we've gathered..." Knot shrugged. "I don't know. It's just a suggestion."
