Necromancer! A long, loud howl rose above the trees of the woodlands. A large, dark shadow stood in the shadows of the trees, watching, looking. She padded silently, trying her best to stay in the shadows so she wouldn't be seen. Her golden yellow eyes scanned around, looking little for prey, but mostly for another wolf. She wasn't going to risk bringing down a deer if it meant another wolf was going to pop out of nowhere and try to fight her for it. She was in the mood to fight, but she didn't like fighting while she was in the middle of eating. She pricked her ears and let out a little woof. It may of been small, but she was just warning any close wolves to watch out. The arctic wolf stopped and stood tall as she once again scanned the shadows beneath the trees. Her tail was held high and bristling, obviously trying to intimidate and frighten any wolf who did happen to be watching her. She was new wolf to this area, but she was not scared to die here either. Actually, the female had been running for quite awhile and she hadn't thought of hunting until she entered the woods. Her tail lashed angrily as she thought of why she was here... an illegal wolf breeder sold her online and she was kept to live with some hermit up in the mountains. She was lucky to escape when she did. Who knew what a hermit would do to a wolf. She howled again, calling any who wished to stop her before she decided to hunt in these lands.

Jolon was walking around the border and out into wanderer territories. He was trying to keep tabs on where the prey was for when they hunted the pack could easily track down the herds. His black pelt blended into the shadows with only his amber eyes sticking out. It was easy for him to get close to the herds with is pelt so he did this a lot just to help his pack out. A howl then echoed close by from a fae's voice. His ears quivered. This wolf didn't sound familiar at all. An intruder any where near any of the packs could be a threat. Jolon needed to show that the packs could trust him and would take any chance he could get to become more loyal and get their trust. This seemed like a good chance and his curiosity drove him on as well.
He quickly padded toward the source to hear a little woof of warning sound from the fae. Finally, he saw her a couple of lengths away. The underbrush hid him and he used the shadows. She could be a threat. Her tail was held high and was bristling. Jolon grinned a little at this. She was trying to intimadate anyone nearby. Then her tail lashed and when it finished a howl broke from her maw. What a strange wolf... he thought to himself. The fae looked hungry and her scent told it as well. She might hunt so he needed to show himself to guard their prey. The black wolf walked out with a flick of his ears.

Necromancer pricked her ears and turned to look at the wolf who was walking out of the bushes. Who does he think he is, trotting out like he owns the place. She took a step back, her lips baring over her teeth as she silently snarled. Obviously, she knew her threatening tactics didn't work, so she was immediately ready for a fight. She snapped once and took one step forward, standing on her toes this time. "Don't mess with me, wolf. I'm not in a good mood right now." Most wolves usually avoided her, but that was back at home where most wolves knew what would happen if they didn't avoid her. The tip of her tail flicked when she realized the scent of a pack wolf. Perfect, I love killing these kinds of wolves. They know almost nothing when it come to taking care of themselves. The thought of hunger and anger soon escaped her mind and the thoughts of cleverness entered. Her tail lifted happily and a smirk appeared over her face. Her ears stayed pricked and attentive as her eyes softened and stared deep into the other wolf's.

He stopped and stared at her as she threatened him with her stance and words. Her expression then changed suddenly and this made Jolon uneasy. Jolon put his tail up high, but not alpha high. He wouldn't take anything from this loner, that ment tricks. "I'm sorry that you're in a bad mood and if I came at a wrong time. I had been checking out the territory and noticed your howls. As they say, curiosity kills the cat," he said calmly towards the fae. She intrigued him for she was in good health for being a loner.
Jolon stayed a few leaps from her and kept up a defensive posture. This wolf could kill him if she wanted, he was in her rightful land.

Necro's ear twitched as the wolf spoke. The smirk widened into a sly smile, she could tell how uneasy this wolf was starting to feel. She didn't like dominant wolves, and especially disliked dominant acting wolves. This specific wolf is going to be quite interesting. "I'm quite hungry, and with you pack wolves coming in and out, taking our food, of course I'm going to be in a bad mood. I was only howling, really, to warn any idiots to leave me alone before I go hunt. I hate distractions, mind you." She took a step closer, noticing the other wolf was trying to keep his distance.

Her smile unnerved him. Then after she spoke, she took a step closer. She was a confident loner towards a pack wolf, he didn't like it at all. Maybe this just wasn't his day. "Ahh, well that is a good idea. It's happened to me a couple of times, but you can't really tell everyone to leave you alone when taking down a huge kill," he said calmly. It was the truth, no wolf would dare make a big kill by themselves, but was this fae about to do so? If so, she was a strong one. Jolon stayed his ground, but kept his stance. If she gave a warning, he'd leave, but she hadn't yet. If she wanted to attack, they still had several lengths from each other. He wanted to find out more about her. A lone wolf, trying to take down a kill, alone, it would spark anyone's curiosity especially if they had heard the howls.

Necromancer huffed, getting slightly annoyed with this wolf. She lowered her head and took another step closer, starting to see this as a game. The way the other wolf was talking was obvious that he was trying to hide his fear and act how whatever a pack wolf should act like. "You made a wrong decision to be messing with me," she growled lowly. Now she remembered why she didn't want to join a pack in the first place. All pack wolves were stuck up jerks in her opinion. Just because they liked to socialize with others made it suddenly like they had to be superior, too. "If I want to hunt alone, I can, and I like to make sure everyone understands that." Dumb idiot has to ruin everything for me. She didn't care if it was elk or bear she was going after, she preferred to do it alone for a reason. She was a loner for a reason, and obviously some wolves couldn't get that through their heads. She would had to make them think about it by force.
She lifted a paw as if to take another step, but didn't. Instead her paw hovered above the ground as she looked back at the wolf carefully. Would he attack her? Or would he decide she was being serious and leave? What if this wolf turned out to be all talk and no walk, just like the other pack wolves she had met. She could take him on, most likely, she was well-trained in ways only a true loner would know about. She had to insist, though, that this wolf was quite brave. She didn't know what pack he was part of since she didn't know too well about the packs of this land, but any wolf who stood up to her alone was a champion in her eyes. Though, she still saw herself as the grand champion and any wolf who tried to dominate her was an idiot in her eyes. She chuckled lightly as she thought of this.

Jolon's eyes studied her as she lowered herself and took another step forward. His ears flicked back with her response. "I never said you couldn't hunt alone and if that's what you prefer than do so. You look strong enough to handle anything. It's your business not mine," he said calmly. He wouldn't play her game with a growl and growl back. Then to his surprise she decided against taking another step towards him. Any loner could've attacked by now, he knew, he had been one for a long time. He would've attacked anyone trying to hunt with him and probably acted the same she was. The memory of his first hunt in a pack had been a surprise. Since then...he must have softened. That thought angered him just a bit, but right now wasn't a time to think of it.

A low whine came from Necro as she was still confused, amazed, and angry that this wolf dared to hold his ground. Why doesn't he just run along and do whatever pack wolves usually do? Why does he have to mess with me? "What do you want anyways? Why don't you go back to your nice little pack and leave me alone." She was amused this wolf actually noticed her strength. That was proof enough to her that he was a little scared of being attacked. "Well now, I find this conversation absolutely pointless. I'll carry on my way and you go do whatever pack wolves do, alright?" She slowly turned around, and sat down, eyes looking straight ahead and ears pricked. She was curious about what the wolf was going to do or say. Besides, she wasn't even hungry anymore. When she was annoyed, all thoughts of hungriness left. The only thing that really entered her mind was bloodlust. Though, attacking this wolf would be no fun.
I wonder what makes him so calm. There must be something to make him tick. She thought hard, but she didn't like thinking long since she was impatient, and gave up. She shook her head and shrugged, not caring if the wolf was still watching her. "Maybe it's cause he's a pack wolf. Dumb showoffs can't even fend for themselves," she muttered. Her ears swiveled backwards, curious to know if the wolf had heard her. Would this be something to make him tick?

He couldn't help but chuckle a bit at her questions. She was clearly annoyed at him as she sat down. She then mumbled something under her breath...he had heard it. Jolon narrowed his eyes a bit. He then decided it would be the polite thing to do to answer her questions. "Well, for starters, I'm not dumb enough to not catch what you said. I can fend for myself, but that's not what were talking about. All I wanted from you was to see who you are and what exactly you were doing. I've never seen you before and I was curious. Pack wolves aren't all too soft to go outside their territory," he said to her curtly. Jolon took a step towards her and added,"You can go if you want, but I think I'm staying in this spot a while. A nice vew I would say." Jolon sat down with ears pricked toward her. That would surely maker her mad, but he had the same right as her to be here. He wasn't a cuddly little pack wolf who needed to be with its' pack all the time.

Necromancer's eyes narrowed at the wolf's words. Now this wolf is just taking me to the edge, maybe I should leave. She was pretty glad, though, that the wolf had heard what she said. She felt like she spoke the truth and nothing but the truth. Though why the idiot thought he knew better than her tried to speak his mind was beyond her. "Why do you guys even invade loner territories? Don't you think we have it hard enough? If you need more land, why don't you take it from other packs?" she growled. She looked back curiously at the wolf, noticing he was closer.

He looked back at her when she accused the packs about invading loner territories. "We don't want to invoke any hate from other packs, I guess. I wasn't here the last time they expanded. Yes, I know it's hard to have a loner life, I was one," he told her. Jolon thumped his tail in response to her growl. ((no muse either. sorry didn't realize you had posted due to other threads blocking it ))

She pricked her ears and a hint of curiosity and suspicion flashed by her eyes. "Yet, the packs will gladly take enemies from loners? Wow, I now remember the main reason I won't join a pack. Why would you go from being a loner to joining a pack of idiots?" A smirk appeared on her muzzle, wondering how the wolf was going to answer this one.

He looked at her throughly before he said anything. Did she forget about wanting to be alone?, he thought. It didn't matter though, now. She had asked a question and deserved an answer. "I joined because I'd heard about them fighting all the time and wanted to help, but...that's not the real reason," he said and looked down. Should he tell her? This loner? She already thought he was insane, but she could gossip this to another member of the packs and he'd be busted. Jolon made up his mind. "I really joined to re-form the way of life for packs. Rank shouldn't matter on certain rights. Everyone should be treated equally, loner or pack. No more fights over who is allowed mates or to take down a kill, no more of any of that," he told her. Jolon had lifted his head back up and his eyes were full of meaning. His mother and father deserved revenge and this was the only way, by helping thier memory survive and build something from it. Now if his old leaders were still alive, he'd tear them to shreds, but they had been killed as well.
How would this fae reply? She'd probably think him insane...

Interesting...
Necromancer wondered why the wolf had lied the first time, but was glad it had told the truth. She turned around fully to face the wolf and sat down again. "Finally, someone understands me," she growled happily. "I remember when I used to be in a small family pack. The power-hungry wolves got leadership and kicked everyone around like slaves. I left the pack as soon as I knew how to hunt for myself." She was beginning to like this wolf despite all that had just happened. She never thought that a pack wolf would have the same intentions as her, but since this wolf used to be a loner too... "Even though I do agree with you, I'm curious to know if you had any past events that made you want to do this." Her eyes glowed with amusement, and she could see a possible friendship in the future. Ha, a friendship with a pack wolf, she never saw anything like that coming.
