**In case anyone missed my last post in Nighty's thread, I'm also working on arranging the advert. board so that staff know which ads to link back and such. NOW, on to why I made the thread : I've seen this used on a larger site in the past, but regardless of size, I think ceremonies/rites of passage are hard to remember and keep up with for alphas. It's annoying to have to badger an alpha to do a ceremony, and it's annoying for the rper of the alpha, too. I had this idea in my head a looongg time ago, when I still rped on Warrior Cats: An RPG -- what they did for their ceremonies is made one ceremony thread per pack in the main camp. Any time someone needed one done, unless it was for someone of high rank, the rper would post in that thread and the alpha would post, completing the ceremony, as soon as they could. This way, your big kid pup won't have to wait forever to become a neophyte As far as mentoring....that's another difficulty. I think neophytes should be involved in at least two training threads before they become warriors, but with so many, that's unlikely to happen...what if we put neophytes in groups of two-fourish, and all of them were mentored by one wolf? (One wolf who is active xD) Most of the time, we don't have a huge amount of neophytes at once, and we would be able to split it between two or three wolves in each pack?

I thought that's how it already was. Since the ranks of this site seems to follow the Warriors series, mentors would have a max of three cats unless they were severely low on warriors, then it would be four five to one mentor. Idk, I always thought that's how the mentoring system worked on here, although I've only had had one situation where one wolf mentored two neophytes, and that was because they were siblings

What I meant was more like group mentoring instead of individual; the one mentor would mentor the wolves in groups, like take all of their neophytes for a hunting lesson, etc. Warriors has a one-on-one situation with mentors and neophytes. Do you like the idea of ceremony threads, though?

yea, the ceremony threads should be stickied to each pack board, so it's right there. easier than having to create a new meeting thread every week because someone finally decides to rank up their wolf.

Great idea Sivveh! It makes a lot of sense and will allow more people to get their wolves rped to the point they want quicker.
