Here Comes the Sun

A small little white wolf moved along the unknown territories. She had strange looking scars on her face that were still slightly red. Her tail bounced along with her stride; her expressions showing no cautiousness or fear despite knowing she was in a pack's territory. She looked upward towards the cold, blue sky and suddenly tripped over a root. A squirrel squeaked with surprise as she tumbled past it. She kept tumbling until her sensitive little nose bumped into a rock. She sniffed with pain and rubbed a paw over the nose. She looked at the rock, growled at it, then decided there was no point in being mad at an inanimate object. It was her fault for not paying attention to where she was going.

She scrambled back on all fours and looked around in case someone had heard her. Her tail, though, wagged slightly with excitement. Someone had to of heard her and hopefully that someone was part of the pack in this area.

(Okay, I'll pop in then. Gotta warn you, though, Banana's already in another thread, and if anything happens in that thread, it'll probably magically happen in this thread. Or we can just assume that it happened after this thread happened. Enough of my rambling disclaimer, let's get on or in or about to business!)

A yelp echoed in Banana's ears. Whether it was from another wolf or a squirrel or a rabbit - do rabbits yelp? - didn't really matter to him. He was already streaking after it.

He leaped over a tree root in his way, happily heading towards the sound. Scrambling unsteadily down a hill, he finally stopped at the bottom, having lost the sound.

"Darn sneaky squirrels!" he pouted, then glanced around cautiously to see if anyone had heard him use a semi-curse word. But once he spotted the other wolf, he forgot all about that.

"Oh, hi there!" He bounded over to her, almost letting out a series of happy yips. Almost. I don't know, maybe he just felt that letting out yips would make him seem weird. Oh well, he didn't care. "Whatcha doing here?"

Amaterasu blinked at Banana, confused that anyone would be so...non-caring that a trespasser was in their territory. She shrugged, the wolf looked pretty young anyways. She was expecting too much, so fate gave her something she wouldn't expect. It was only the other day when she had high expectations of catching a fish and, instead, fell into the water. Amaterasu calmed down a little bit, still wondering if she should answer the wolf's question or...well...she really only had that option in her mind. The wolf seemed happy enough not to suddenly attack her for crossing into its terra. She smiled then, a little bit of the wolf's joy getting to her, and took a step forward.

"Hello. I came here looking for a pack! Are you a member of the pack here?"

Her claws scratched the ground with nervousness, though she did not show it in her expression. She didn't know why, but those words felt like the hardest things to say. She wasn't sure if the pack even wanted her. She swiped a paw over her still bruised nose as slight pain suddenly came from it. As the paw went over, she couldn't help self-consciously touching the scars on her face with curiosity. She quickly blinked out of her daydream and smiled back at the wolf.

Banana padded up to the wolf, then tilted his head curiously as she pawed at her nose. He moved closer for a better look, then accidentally bumped into her nose with his nose. He fell down.

"Wow! Things appear farther than they really are!" No, Banana, your eyes do not function like side-view mirrors. Just then, he realized what the other wolf had just said. "Wait, really!? You want to join our pack!?" He did a little hop of joy. "Yay! When you join, wanna be my friend?"

Eagerly, he waited for a response. His nose twitched.

Amaterasu squeaked in surprise when the wolf bumped her nose, but smiled, too. She was happy to know that she would have a new friend in the pack if she was allowed in. She stared past the wolf, into the deep forest, wondering where the pack camp was located. It was nice to know that, maybe, she would have wolves to hang out with once again. The thoughts made her ears prick excitedly and she glance back at the wolf.

"Of course I'll be you're friend. It'll be nice having someone to help me out in the pack."

She glanced up at the sky, noticing light gray clouds coming in. They were too light to be real storm clouds, but they still made her shiver. HopeI can find a home before it rains... At least the sun was still able to break through most of the clouds, but she's seen days when it rained with the sun was still out. As long as her fur wasn't tingling with static, she knew it couldn't be a thunderstorm. She then remembered not to expect too much of anything, like what just happened recently. So she calmed herself down a bit, continued to smile, and waited for fate to lead her onward.

"Oh yeah!" He bounced up and down, like a big yellow ball. Though real bananas are longish shaped, I guess. And Banana's actually silver colored. So sue me. "You wanna join the pack! Um... I'll take you to the alpha or whatever!" He grinned, already padding back towards the camp.

A few rain drops fell on Banana's head as he did so, and he sneezed. He looked up at the sky inquisitively, then looked back at Amaterasu to see if she was following him.

If curiosity got the better of Banana, she'd probably be far ahead of him soon enough.

Amaterasu started following the wolf, laughing slightly when it was distracted by the rain. "Don't you think we should continue. I mean, I don't want to go walking into your camp without an escort." Her eye twitched when a large rain drop hit it. She usually liked the rain, but when it started falling in her eyes and ears, it just became annoying. The quicker I get to join the pack, the quicker I'll be out of the rain. She instinctively shook herself, though water was quick to fill her coat again. I think this rain is getting harder...

(I'm not sure if we should go to the Alpha's Den in a different thread or like, I don't know. )

"Yeah, let's!" Banana shook himself, a few raindrops flying off his coat, and bounded towards the camp.

The rain continued falling.

"So, what are you going to do once you join the pack?" Banana piped up, as he bounced towards the alpha's den. Were they in the camp now?

Er... let's just say yes.

Amaterasu shrugged at the question. "I'm not sure, I haven't lived in a pack for awhile." Let alone a pack that kicks it members out after awhile, she thought mentally.
