[Raye]

Raye let her paws move her where they willed, green-grey orbs darting around. There were scents of more than one wolf all over this place. Her dark brown fur stood out against the snow and her large size was not easy to disguise. Ears flicked in every direction and she stopped as she came to a river. It was iced over and she could see fish swimming below the thick layer of frozen water.

Her growl and bark of annoyance echoed through the deserted area and she looked back behind her. Raye padded quietly over to a narrower part of the river, she wanted to spend as little time on the frozen surface as possible. She took a run up and leaped high into the air, landing in the middle of the ice and skating over the remainder of it, her claws scrambling for purchase. She barrel rolled into the snow on the other side, sending snow everywhere into the air. She crept out of the snow and looked around cautiously, something was wrong. A wind pushed a strange scent towards her and she tensed, finally realising her mistakes.

"Who disturbs me?" She barked out sharply and turned her head around fiercely, putting out a false bravado. The pale brown diamond on her forehead shimmered with the snow that graced its fur. Her eyes turned a darker shade of green-grey and she got into an instinctive defensive position.

It's only been a while since Kunai actually went to the river since... well actually he doesn't really remember. He was a neophyte back then so it might have been with Skysong when he was at the Nuka River last time. Last time seemed forever. He thought of fishing today but the river might be still frozen still. Kunai could change that though. All he has to do is sit in the middle of it till it cracks, jump off and then grab rock and toss it in the middle. ICE FISHING!

He padded toward the river. Apperently the wrong side because he was growled at. Kunai knows that it was him because no one really... there but him. The Destinian turned his head and saw another wolf. The scent was that she was a loner. "Umm... sorry. If I may ask. Who are you?" What a pretty fae. Reminds him a lot like Skysong, not in appearnce though, well, technically yes but maybe the proper word is prettiness. This fae and Skysong are both very pretty. Close enough.

[Raye]

Raye watched as a male wolf made himself known and she raised her head, her ears flicking forwards.
"Umm... sorry. If I may ask. Who are you?" He asked and she let out a small laugh. Her eyes shifted to slightly more of a green hue and she licked her maw nervously, paws shifting underneath her a little.
"I am a loner, obviously. The name is Raye." She stated bluntly and shook the snow from her pelt, her fur fluffing out in an amusing manner and she watched him out of the corner or her eye.

"I apologise for the growl, but one cannot be too careful these days." She said in an even tone, her voice was slightly husky and sweet sounding. Or it would have sounded sweet if she had not done a monotone.

Kunai sighed. Thank goodness she didn't attack me, she might have been a BloodMist. "Yeah, I know what you mean. BloodMist, nastly little creatures," He muttered out loud. The Packlander didn't really like them too much, never really did. A bitter taste came in his mouth when the subject about them came. Disgusting. "Very nice to meet you Raye, you have a right to know my name, it's Kunai," He said politely. Didn't want to make enemies. "I don't want to seem intruding but you're in Destinian Land. Are you looking for a pack or are you here by accident?" Kunai asked. There were always wolves wanting to joins packs and then there were wolves that just wanted to kill them or steal their food. They are more leaning on the joining thing, it's better that way.

[Raye]

"Yeah, I know what you mean. BloodMist, nasty little creatures," The male muttered and she laughed softly before trying to disguise it with a cough. She had to remember not to trust others too quickly. Her eyes lost their sparkle as she looked at him again before she blinked and the sparkle was back again.
"Are they? I don't think I've met one of them yet. I've only been hiding in dens for a while, so you could say I have no idea of the world outside my own." She said in a curious tone and tilted her head to one side.

"Very nice to meet you Raye, you have a right to know my name, it's Kunai," He said in a polite voice and she lowered her head to cover up her smile, why couldn't she just be like she normally was? Indifference was her game...usually.
"Indeed, it is a pleasure to meet you too." She said with a wag of her tail.

"I don't want to seem intruding but you're in Destinian Land. Are you looking for a pack or are you here by accident?" He asked and she went absolutely still for a moment. What was a pack? Was it like what she had before? With her mother and siblings? She sat down and turned her head to look up at the sky.
"I'm sorry to be trespassing, I did not realise that this place was a permanent ground for wolves. Pack? If a pack is a good thing, then I will look for one..." She trailed off before coughing uncertainly. "What does a pack look like? So I know what to look for...you know?" She asked before smiling softly at him.

Kunai shrugged about the question that he was given. What a pack look like and for the loner to know what to look for for choosing a pack? That was... kinda interesting. Like sure Raye wanted to join a back but what to look for. All the packs were kinda going through stress but that's normal but BloodMist is the problem with all the packs right now. "Well, I'm not an expert but in a pack, we look out for each other and hunt to survive. Also umm... we do a great job in my opinion," He briefly explained.

[Raye]

"Well, I'm not an expert but in a pack, we look out for each other and hunt to survive. Also umm... we do a great job in my opinion," He explained and she stared at him attentively while he did so. This was good, she had found a smart wolf to talk to.
"That sounds nothing like a family....so,you pack is the closest one right?" She changed the subject as quickly as she could and smiled a little. She sat on the snow and curled her tail neatly around her paws. The last thing Raye needed was someone tripping over her tail, besides...it was easier this way.

"Yes, you are already in our territory. Also we protect each other, if you are judging a pack of how much a family they are that is, we get fights every once in a while. I don't even remember the last fight we were in except for the one with BloodMist," He explained to her. Kunai wasn't the best wolf to explain how things run or at all really. He isn't the type of wolf who could actually explain something that makes him or her look smart. Not him at all.

[Raye]

I don't even remember the last fight we were in except for the one with BloodMist," He said and Raye smiled gently before trying not to laugh. Her 'family' had not been like that. She pricked her ears and got up from her position.

"Stay right there, I'm coming over!" She called to him before taking a running leap at the frozen river. She landed in the middle and slid the rest of the way over the hard ice. Raye landed unceremoniously in the snow and only her tail could be seen from the mass of white. She stuck her head up through the snow and got up slowly.

"See? Now we can actually see each other without having to squint." She joked before looking at him through her green eyes. It would be fun to see what his reaction would be.

Kunai tilted his head when Raye jumped, or attempted, to jump over the frozen river. Made it half way, then skid over to the other side. "Nice entrance," He complimented. It was rather, interesting how she slid to the other side. He nodded. "Yes, I rather not squint." Kunai paused, "You got a little snow on your muzzle," He added. "In case you didn't notice.

[Raye]

(lol, no worries Nighty, my muse is not good atm, tired.... T^T;

"Nice entrance," Kunai said and she nodded her head slightly, acknowledging his compliment.
"Thank you, I thought it wasn't very graceful though..." She said before looking out at the river she had just crossed, her face felt warm...she had never really known what to say when she was complimented, partly because compliments were so rare for her.

"Yes, I rather not squint." He said and she laughed softly.
"It helped both our eyesight's I guess." She replied and looked at him as he seemed to be about to speak.
"You got a little snow on your muzzle," He seemed to notice more than most wolves would... "In case you didn't notice." She brought her paw to her muzzle and completely missed the snow there.

"Did I get it? I can't see it anywhere..." She asked in a slightly worried voice before looking at Kunai. "If I didn't get it could you?" She asked this in a nervous voice because she wasn't sure how he would react. Her mother would have licked it off, but she wasn't so sure what a virtual stranger would do.

Kunai chuckled a bit when Raye missed the snow completely. "Yeah, I'll get it hold on," He said getting up and shook himself completely so there wasn't any snow on him. The brute turned around and used his tail to get the snow off the fae's muzzle, then turned back around. "OK, it's gone now."

[Raye]

"Yeah, I'll get it hold on," She felt warm underneath her fur as he chuckled at the fact she had most likely missed the snow. She watched as he shook himself off before taking off the snow with his tail. Raye couldn't help it, his fur had tickled her snout...she sneezed.

"Thank you and I'm sorry that I sneezed so loudly." She said quietly and looked at him warmly with her head tilted to one side slightly.
"OK, it's gone now." Kunai said and she gave him a wolfish grin, excusing the pun. Raye then blinked once and the grin faded slightly, what was wrong with her? Was she supposed to be acting like this? Well, she would see where this feeling of, safety...would lead her.

She looked him over closely before relaxing a little more.
"I thought so, you're bigger than me. That's good, finally I have met another wolf that's larger than I am." She smiled softly and then gasped as she thought of something.
"Hey, at first did I look like a male to you? My fami-...other wolves used to think I was a male at a distance." She asked in a curious voice before getting up and venturing closer to him, less than 2 feet away.

[nighty!]

Kunai snickered for a split second when Raye sneezed. "It's fine, can't really control sneezing," He said with a smile. After that it was her talking about him being bigger than her. The brute didn't think that he was that big, like sure he was larger than some of the other wolves, but definitely not the biggest. "Are the others small because I'm not that big in my opinion," He asked. Now it was her thinking that he thought that she was a guy. "Nah, you just had to talk to give away your gender, everyone looks like wolves to me, it's only that one extra detail that others could tell but I'm not going to go into that discussion any further." Kunai was trying to be mature about it. Also for him not being far sided, he just uses his nose to look for prey or for the others.

[Raye]

"It's fine, can't really control sneezing," Raye looked at Kunai as he snickered at her sneezing. He smiled and she returned it, coming closer before sitting down in the snow.
"How mean, you laughed at me." She joked and pricked her ears up in his direction.
"Are the others small because I'm not that big in my opinion," He asked and she looked at him before looking away and down at the ground. "Nah, you just had to talk to give away your gender, everyone looks like wolves to me, it's only that one extra detail that others could tell but I'm not going to go into that discussion any further." She nodded her head, still staring at the ground. So he didn't think very much of himself did he? What a pity, he was quite dashing...but he'd never hear that from Raye's maw.

"I see. Well, what happens now?" She asked before wrapping her tail around her paws neatly as she began to lick her chest fur. Raye somehow managed to get the burs and twigs from the fur before looking up from her work in mid-lick. Her pale pink tongue retreated before coming out to lick her nose and disappearing again.
"Sorry, I forgot to do this earlier..." She trailed off before blinking once and then remained motionless for a few moments. She was thinking about her options now...join a pack or stay a stray with no one to watch her back against those awful sounding Blood Mist. Raye then got up in a flurry of movement and watched Kunai, to see his reaction.
