I think we’re all in dire need of some relaxation time. A swath of deep blue-gray fur shifted with the rising breeze, and Dallas squinted at the vague wisps of air that rose from the heated pools. A tail of steam squirmed desperately before vanishing into air, and Dallas sighed—out of contentment or loneliness, he wasn’t quite sure—before approaching the hot springs. His eyes stared down at the mirror image that gawked back at him until an adventurous paw distorted the image, and he began sliding into the heated water. As if anyone would notice me missing from camp for a few minutes… and where the hell is my brother? He rolled his eyes, staring up at the afternoon glow and absorbing the silence. It’s just so… lonely out here.

September Yawned as she made her way through the low brush. She scented the air as she yawned. This was the tenth time she had done so. Maybe she could relax now that she was hidden among the trees. Slips into the water and a whimper can be herd as her muscles hare submerged. Ouch I hurt all over. Well that might be because when you escaped you didn’t stop running. Leave my escape out of this. . Hey you’re the one talking to yourself you loon. Am not. *inner chuckling* She stretched again and another whimper this one more audible escaped her maw. She yawned and rested her head on a rock.

((should Dallas be concerned for her mental health? xD))
How old am I now? Just… so many years, and what have I done? Babysit Coop and run laps around the terra on the off chance of having to use my skills to fight off an intruder? Yeah, I’m going somewhere in life… nowhere. A soft sound interrupted his thoughts, and Dallas tensed. An ear twitching, he lifted his head above the surface of the pool, honing in on the source of the disturbance. To his surprise, a familiar scent hung in the air, radiating from one of the neighboring springs. He swallowed sharply, relieved but not entirely relaxed. Slowly, he crept out of the natural tub, and gravitated toward the whimpering fae. Lowering his head, he slipped into the pool beside her, and rested his head on a nearby rock. A smile slipped onto his maw. “Enjoying yourself?”

((I don't think so she will get over the talking to her self. she was alone so long she created another voice for company. It will stop bothering her soon or will it? lol . I guess we will have to wait and see.))
September sat up to her surprise she was staring into the dark blue eyes of another wolf. Not just any wolf, but the one who often appeared ing her dreams. The scent was the most familiar thing she could recall. How could the scent not have alerted her sooner? It was 100% Dallas. She had no idea how to react. She now sat in the water with her right paw dangling in front of her chest as she stared, that is all she found herself able to do.His voice confirmed that it was really him, it was crisp and clear unlike her memories. Her wet fur clung close to her rail thin body. Finally the words registered in her mind. "Enjoying yourself?" Am I? She asked herself there was no reply just an overwhelming urge to nuzzle him in that moment. She fought down the urge and slowly almost visibly cautious. her tail betrayed her attempt at composure it swayed vigorously under the water. It looked like a silver trout. "Yes, thank you!" she said once she trusted herself to speak. "Long time no see Dallas." She slowly laid back down next to him. I must have fallen asleep.

((haha, well I’ve had chars that recite long-winded inner monologues sometimes—she probably shouldn’t worry too much about other voices in her heads unless they start telling her to kill people x3))
“Heh, yeah, well… it’s good to see you.” And, in that moment, he realized that he had no idea where to go from there. He ran straight toward the beautiful garden and the shimmering stream that divided it, not noticing the brick wall standing in his path. And the impact was hard. …what do I say? You talked to her, now what? Uh, a joke…? Dear Lupus, why can’t I remember Coop’s cheesy conversation starters when I actually need them? “…erm…” The uncomfortable awkwardness settling in, Dallas shifted—only to discover that wet rocks are indeed slippery. With a surprised half-yelp, the brute vanished amidst the foam of escaping air bubbles and a great splash of water. …you know what, just stay down here, and maybe she’ll forget you were ever here and move on…

((lol that is true.))
September looked at where Dallas had disappeared. "Dallas!" She said surprised when he did not resurface immediately. See you scarred him away. I did not. Then why would he stay under there like this? Maybe he is hurt. Then go get him. Or you could just let him die and be miserable for the rest of your life. The voice offered. AHH! No.
With that she dove into the water where she had seen him disappear. She opened her eyes and snapped at his fur once she found it. She tried to get a hold of him to pull him up to the surface afraid that he might be hurt and drown.

…and, you know, you could always just drown in a shallow pool. Easily bumping his ribs against the bottom of the spring, he glanced up, fixing his eyes on the blurred outline of the beautiful maiden above him. A flood of warmth—not entirely the cause of the water—shot from his chest to his ears, and a jet of air continued to escape from his nostrils. Then, much to his surprise, the fae dived down to retrieve him, and embarrassment was even more unbearable. The smear of her fur brushed past him under the surface, and soon a slight pressure seized his neck. With a tug, they were again breathing air, and Dallas continued to stare at the clouds above. Despite a slight ache from where he had collided with the bottom, only his pride appeared to be injured. “…sorry… clumsy…”

September coughed a little. Her ears flat against her head. “Sorry I thought you were hurt.” She looked down at her paws. She squirmed in her spot and looked embarrassed. A red blush could be seen in her fur and up to her ears. Her tail swayed behind her in a somber way All the time she kept her eyes averted. He must think you're a worry wart. You're not? The voice asked. He was only down there for a few seconds. He could have save himself you know. I thought that he might drown with the amount of air bubbles that came up. Well, see what you have done? Now you will catch cold you know or something might harm your ears jumping in like that. Yeah, yeah I know. Hey, wait a minute you told me to so it is your fault. No, really you told you too. Remember? Oh yeah, She sighed inwardly He must be mad at me for rushing to save him. I think that you might want to look closer at him. What!? Why? I'm not going to just blatantly tell you. You need you look for it yourself. You are me though right? Not exactly. Then explain to me who you are and what you are still doing in my mind, huh? Nope I can't do that. And why not? Stop asking yourself so many questions. Hah you are me. Nope like I said, not exactly. Ok, fine, you win. Good now pay attention. Her eyes looked up at his features. She looked for anything that might suggest that he may like her the way she liked him. She shivered against the cool breeze and down cast her eyes with a sigh when she found nothing in that instant. Her fur tried to stand on end, but it was to wet to help her in any way except maybe make her even more cold.

Beginning to recover from the mind-reeling tumble and embarrassment, Dallas smiled a little. “Nah, that’s alright. At least you were trying to help. If Coop were standing where you’re standing, he would’ve laughed and sat on my face.” He chuckled, relieved by the sensation. “Hey, it gave me an idea, anyway…” Retreating a few steps, Dallas launched a small wave of water with his paw, aiming the splash directly at September’s face. A mischievous, pup-like grin spread across his maw, washing away the uncomfortable anxiety of moments previous—or, at the very least, covering it up. She probably thinks I’m acting like an idiot, but hey… better than sticking my head under the water like a lopsided duck.

September looked shocked for a moment as the warm water hit her. She looked confused only for a second which her attitude changed. She bounded over to the spring and bounced in the shallow water at the edge splashing water up in his direction. She laughed joyfully as she continued to trot in the shallow water. “This is a great idea.” She said in a very happy tone. Her tail waved and her body showed that she wanted to play.

For a moment, the brute hesitated. Please tell me I’m not just— Then, all at once, his fears dissolved in the midst of a spray of water. The warmth spread from the bridge of his nose and outward, crystalline tears soaking his fur. His tail swished beneath the waves, the helicopter motion stirring the spring almost as much as the movement of paws. At last, a taste of childhood. “I know, right? Ha, ha—” He rolled onto his back, kicking a few jets before disappearing under the surface. His eyelids fluttered, half-focusing on the smudge of a silhouette no more than three steps away. Then, at last, he surfaced, muzzle curved in a pleasant smile, and he floundered comically as another couple splashes were aimed in her direction. “I don't know about you, but this is my kind of war.”

“Yes, yes I agree.” She smiled at the brute as she was barraged with splashes of water. She splashes back. She then trots around again, and slips in the deep end of the spring. She swims to the surface and tries to get back up on the shallow rock. “Ok a little help might be nice.” She said as she struggled against the water for footing.

“Hehe, excellent—finally, a chance to repay my debt!” With the tenderness of schoolboy heroics, Dallas ceased fire and paddled to her flank. Suddenly seized with mild apprehension, Dallas shifted his head and shoulders until he was practically wrapped around her, and carefully pushed her upward and towards the stones. His heart pounded madly, a tribal drumbeat tearing across his chest. The warmth of her fur, of her skin—it far surpassed any hot spring. So soothing, so soft. Calm down, you’re just helping her!

She scrambled up on the rock ledge. "Thank you" she said barely above a whisper. She blushed lightly as her heart pounded in her ribs. She took a deep breath to concentrate on not attacking him in the water. what is this feeling. She shook out her fur the best she could.

A sort of shy laugh forced the air from his lungs, the calming touch he had experienced moments before suddenly dissolving as she made her way onto dry land. There he floated, bobbing on the hardly noticeable ripples of water that echoed from their earlier romping. He watched her, unable to conjure up a comprehensible line of dialogue, and—more frighteningly—unable to understand why he felt so insecure. “Hey, uh, no problem. This mean we’re even?”
