"Maybe when Hellfire freezes over?" Ene cracked a rather inappropriate grin for the occasion. She quickly became somber again. "Seriously, though, I don't know. When'd the other wildfire burn out? A week, maybe, given all the fuel. Probably more. This isn't a natural wildfire, that's for sure." Yeesh.

Then she made a face. "Is that burning flesh I smell, or is it just me?" After she said it, she realized that could be taken ironically, given her singed fur and skin.

Either way, we sure gave that "Blood" wolf a nice cremation...

“You’re not telling me this fire is that serious?”
Looking over her shoulder, a colorful display of sparks and jets of flame clouded the horizon. The toxic fumes drew thicker against the sky, casting a dark blanket over the woodland. She grimaced. Spreads faster than rabies, that stuff.
Heat creeping up her spine, Sanceul uttered a harsh cough in reply. “In all honesty, I think it may be all four of us.” As if on cue, the raw pain of the burn began settling in, and her sprint became a more labored endeavor.
