The lands sparkled in the pale blue light of dusk. Night was descending swiftly across the valley territories. On the high perch of the Silentnight Rise, a lone she-wolf surveyed the scenery. She was tall in stature, slender in bodice, and her pelt was a mingle of silver-blue frost and dark midnight. Her ice-blue eyes wore a serene expression as she watched over the lands of her pack -- the Siverians. She took a deep breath of the crisp autumn air, and exhaled meditatively. A chilly, soft breeze ruffled her pelt. The weather's getting colder, she thought to herself. My time to get herbs is short. The first frost will come soon. Suddenly, there was a loud rustle behind her in the surrounding woodlands. Annelise turned her head to look over her shoulder, frowning slightly. "Hello? Is someone out there?"

The brute padded through the foliage, his paws fall gingerly to the leaf covered earth. Leaves rustled against one another as ne padded softly. His fur was a tender gray with blue-black flecks shining lightly in the fading day. His long strides brought him to the edge of a clearing where a fae sat looking into the dusk. He was not familiar with the wolves that lived with in the pack, whose territory he strode in often, just he would not be caught. His ice blue eyes watched her carefully calculating her movements. "Hello? Is someone out there?" She called out as he moved through the brush making loud rustling sounds. He ducked down hoping not to be seen. His chest was thick and heavy with fur. He toppled forward rolling out of his cover. With wide eyes he scrambled to his paws and attempted to disappear into the woods again.

What in the world? The brush swayed and rustled loudly. Annelise turned around, pelt bristling ominously as she took a careful step forward. Suddenly, from the midst of the swaying branches, an unfamiliar figure was tossed out into the open. Annelise had but seconds to look at him and confirm she didn't know him before he was up and running from her. "Hey! Hey, you, come back here!" She charged after the strange wolf with determination. Either he was incurably shy or he was an intruding wolf, and Annelise was leaning towards the latter. She caught sight of the strange wolf's obscured shape in the forest and forced her paws to move faster across the earth. Sprinting, she managed to get ahead of him. She came to a sudden halt, paws skidding slightly on the leaves that litttered the forest floor and faced him with narrowed eyes and a puffing chest. "Excuse me, but who are you and what are you doing here?"

((please feel free to edit if you like i don't know if i like the way this came out))
He skidded to a stop as she stopped in front of him. He looked frightened by the little fae even though he was about twice her weight. He cowered in front of her and looked up. “Please miss don’t report me.” He begged. He could smell a slight scent of the nearby pack upon her. “I mean no harm I swear.” He seemed to whimper. His actions clearly state he was intruding upon the Siverian lands. He tucked his tail and lowered his gaze. He was not a fighter but if the need rose he would do so. His body tensed bracing for an attack.

(( Don't worry, it's good ^^ ))
Annelise didn't budge at the wolf's meaningless blubber. He was far larger than she, but she still had the advantage of knowing the territory should the wolf try to run. Perhaps a warrior would've attacked without question, but the healer couldn't help but feel a twinge of pity at the fear she struck in the other wolf's eyes. "Just tell me your name and were you come from," she barked sternly. And nobody has to get hurt. He's definitely an intruder -- maybe a thief? He has guilt written all over his face, what if he's been hunting in Siverian territory? Maybe I should take him to the alpha... In truth, Annelise had never heard of such a thing happening before. Every pack wolf knew to stick to their territory lines or there would be trouble; this detail was especially ingrained in the brains of neophytes who could be prone to a mistake. She was sure this wasn't the first time it'd happened in history, but all the same, she couldn't make sense of this wolf or his actions.

“M-my name?” he looked up at her and relaxed a little. He thought for a while and wondered aloud, “what is name?” As he waited for an answer he had begun to sit up to his full height. He was very large intimidating so. He could blame his thick fur for that, but his eyes were reserved and gentle almost longing. Would she hurt him or turn him in for being in the beautiful lands? He always made sure to hunt out side their line for territory. He felt safe in the lands though, protected by something unseen. He hoped that it would help him now. He was not sure if it would. For now he would wait and see, yet he wanted to run. His makeshift was just outside the terra, it was cold and lonely just the way he liked things. Now he longed for the warmth of other wolves to help ease his loss. He was still young and had to mature early. He is about fifteen moons his puppy like features still show on his face.

(The following is an example of powerplaying/godmodding and will be disregarded for the rest of the thread.)
He's no older than a neophyte age....oh, I bet he's all alone!Maternal instinct surfaced in the femme. Being her pack's healer, she had a natural fondness for young ones, but there was something irresistably childlike about this wolf. He was large for his age, but Annelise was still much stronger, and she'd proven she could easily outrun him. Her own hopes and dreams about becoming a mother surfaced. "Are you all alone? You're not part of a pack?" Her voice was slightly softer now. Clearly, the poor thing was terrified of her. And it would certainly explain why he had trespassed; he probably wasn't from the packs at all -- which would explain his vulnerability. She sighed softly and offered the little wolf a small smile. "How about you come back to my camp with me and we'll get this all sorted out, all right?" At the change in her tone and her suggestion, he seemed to relax and become a bit more comfortable. A bit of the fear left his eyes, and Annelise felt a warmth stirring inside of her.
(This next bit is the real posting and an example of how you could fix a post that has powerplay/godmodding.)

His ears perked with interest, she had just offered a family. His head dropped lightly, “Really? You could get me a family?” he looked amazed as a young puppy like tone of hope entered his voice. “I am alone and I don’t remember ever being in a pack.” He said deep in thought. He shook his fur and his tail wagged in excitement.

At his joy, Annelise couldn't help but smile brightly back at him. Of course, she really couldn't make him any promises -- and perhaps she was being far too optimistic and getting his hopes up. She couldn't predict what Melina, the alpha, would think or say about him, but she did know she would argue her best on his behalf. He's an eager little youngling, and if we show him how a pack works, how it's like a big family, I'm sure he'd make a loyal warrior! Just look at him -- he's practically bursting with potential! "All right, well, are you sure you don't have a name? I'm Annelise, by the way. I can't promise you a result but....I can promise you that I will try my very best to get you a family, is that fair?"She turned away from him, her paws beginning the journey back to the camp. With a flick of her tail, she beckoned for him to follow her.

((where is the end? lol))
He followed her as his fear melted into contentment. His body relaxed with each step and turned to nervousness. His steps began to falter as they were nearing the camp and the pack scent became stronger. His fur stood on end and he was on high alert for any sign of another wolf attacking him. Where he knew the wolf in front of him would not harm him he did not know about any of the others. He lowered his head as he prepared to run or possibly fight whoever dared to attack him.
