It was just a simple game of hide and seek. The decoy had led them one way, where the ambush awaited. And Arachna had taken a roundabout route directly into the camp. The poor little Flickerflight or Candlelight or whatever her name was was too preoccuppied over the lovely little conundrum happening in the forest to get here fast enough to stop it. And with help on the inside, no on really could.
"Ready or not, here I come!"Cleopatra opened her eyes to a lonely nursery. Lonely, except for Etheris, who was squeezing through the tiny entrance. "Hey, Cleo, want some help finding your sibs?" Cleopatra frowned slightly. Etheris was always such a sourpuss, no fun to play with. Nevertheless, she shrugged and nodded. Etheris led her outside of the den. A paw from nowhere tripped her, she smacked her head against the ground, and all was darkness.
"Any others?" The Blood Mist growled from the shadows. Hastily, Arachna took a hold of Cleopatra's scruff.

A casual stroll, that’s all it was. Isis glanced back at a snoring Ramses, with Imhotep huddled in a mass of pale and orange fur nearby. The scent of the Alpha’s den, strong and powerful with the reek of their parents, filled her nostrils in a soothing lullaby. While it began as a visit followed by a playful romp, certain siblings had decided to retire. Cleopatra, meanwhile, was nowhere to be seen. As the black and white fae, the only pup of such a shade in her litter, cast her blue eyes back, she caught Imhotep’s gaze, his always-alert figure catching the sounds of straying paws. He looked anxious, as always, as well as curious. He smiled kindly to her brother. “Just gonna find Cleo,” she whispered, assuring him. For a moment, Imhotep appeared like he wanted to follow, but ultimately dropped his head and blinked a silent farewell. Isis nodded and disappeared from the hollow, tiny paws carrying her along the oddly quite camp. She glanced about, noting the absence of many of her fellow packmates. Wonder where Mom and Dad are? She froze at a scuffling noise, ears perked in the direction of the nursery. “Cleo?” She padded closer, a slight smile on her lips, predicting an image of her sister preparing a surprise assault from somewhere amidst the nests. She stepped into the nursery, and the image evaporated. “Who—Cleo??” She blinked, fear rising in her spine at the sight of these foreign shadows, with her sister in their jaws. “You—you let go of my sister!” She charged Arachna, lashing out with her tiny fangs.

Wordlessly, the Blood Mist scooped up the wily she-pup as she charged her. With the two pups held somewhat securely by their scruffs, Arachna blinked a silent thanks for the tip to her Destinian helper, and then turned and plunged silently into the woodland with her bounty. Two is not six, but it'll have to do. The others will be harder to snatch in the future, but we'll get them, all right. We'll get all of them in the end.
