Pack Meeting {Get ova hereee}

Mist leaped onto the meeting stone, it's white and grey surface looked like foam in the moonlight. She waited for her pack to gather, glanceing around her and mentally listing what had to be done. Ember wishes to join the seniors...Akaira will be welcomed as a neophyte...I think Kiara mentioned a young wolf named Adrain...Flower had her pups... Mist's fur stood on end. She scented danger in the air. Her misty blue gaze flashed around the clearing, scenting and searching for the hidden threat...

Azari stumbled toward where he knew the camp was. It was close but he was running out of time. A steady trail of blood dappled the ground behind him, right hind leg mangled and useless. He had fallen behind, caught a scent and found her. Lithium. That had been her name. Ari's breathing was raspy and seemed to echo eerily in the forest as he dragged himself toward the camp. Lithium had been going to wait for Mist. Just to cause chaos. That's what she'd told him. His eyes, now both misty blue and fast loosing their sapphire light, fixed upon the camp ahead. He was close...very close. Blood rose in his throat and a hacking cough brought it out, splattering the ground. Ari fell. He wasn't dead but he was fading fast. He laid on the ground, blood-coated muzzle staining the snow, grey-black fur torn and ragged, breathing almost unheard and eyes half closed and darkening. His time was coming....

[Destiny]

Akaira could see the entrance to her new home. Suddenly the faes paws refused to guide her forward. She scented the air. Nothing. Wait. Akaira turned. Looking behind her. The femme began to retrace her steps. But paused. Then turning headed back in the direction of the camp. Akaira took it all in in one look. Then the fae headed towards Mist. Something was wrong.

"Azari!" Mist howled, swiftly rising from her place and rushing to her beta's side. "KIARA!" She barked for the herb healer, panic starting to rise in her. Mist never lost her calm...never lost her edge. But now...as her loyal beta and close friend layed dying before her, her breathing began to speed up. Tears of sorrow ran through her silvery sheen, and she knew that this was it. This was the end for her dear friend. She remembered meeting him, back when Rain had welcomed him to the pack. She even recalled having a crush on him at first. Foolish! She'd fell in love with Forest, and Azari fell in love with Tundra. Her initial affection for him had been extremely short-lived. She remembered him confiding in her when Rain started to go missing. She remembered their trip into Blood Mist to spy...and the battle...the journey through the mountains. It seemed impossible that all of that was really over. "Who did this to you?!"

More blood trickled from Ari's jaws as he forced his eyes open again. His breathing hitched as scarlet splattered the snow before him. "L..Lithium" he managed. "She...she was coming...to kill you" Ari rasped. Azari went silent, trying to breathe. It burned. His paws felt like stone and he could hear his own heartbeat going slow, drawing out each beat. What was he kidding? When Tundra had left again she'd taken his heart with her but now...he was running out of time. His life had run it's cruel corse....

"Dad!" Nova howled, running toward him. "No! Dad!"

[Destiny]

Akaira stood away from the threesome. Watching sorrowfully.Azari. Destiny had spoken of him once or twice. How couragous the Beta was. Akaira bowed her crown. AMber blue pools glimering with sadness.

Mist closed her eyes for a long time, then whispered, "Thank you doesn't even begin to cover my debt to you, Azari. This pack will never forget you. You were a brave, honorable beta, and an even better friend. We wish you a safe passing to the T-Twilight Realm. Rest in peace, A-Azari..." she murmured softly, voice cracking.

[Ärï]

The brute's eyes slid closed. A soft, tired sigh escaped him as his last breath passed. The muscles of the tired brute relaxed. Ari had passed. A brute born to a cruel world and killed saving his pack. Now, an empty shell, the brute looked his age. He had put up a strong front for his pack so they wouldn't loose hope in the strength of their leaders. Now however, he looked like an elder that had passed in his sleep.

Nova let out a long mournful howl. Standing next to her fallen father she looked like a smaller version of Tundra but Tundra wasn't there. Desel wasn't there. It was just her. It had always been just her, just her and Ari. Now he was dead. She was alone. The neophyte whined and laid down beside her father, buring her muzzle in his fur and trembling.

Mist gently lifted Azari's front, and Riku lifted his hindlegs. They carried him into the center of the clearing, under the stars of the Twilight Wolves. Mist glared at the rising moon, as if daring it to make her do what had to be done. It didn't feel right...but it was the code. She had to name the new beta and proxy before moonhigh. She waited in silence, tears still flowing freely from her icy blue eyes. She looked up once more, sighing with resignation. "I say these words before the body of Azari so that he may hear and approve of my choices. The new beta of the Sheerans is Riku, and the new proxy of the Sheerans in Seidei. We will finish the other ceremonies needed in the morning. For now, we give thanks to have been graced by the brave heart that was Azari, and we mourn his passing." Her voice was flat and unfeeling, and she layed down beside Azari, eyes wide with grief.

Aimi flattened her ears. "A few wolves have been getting killed lately. Who's the next to go?" She looked at Akane with worry full in her eyes.

Akane just shrugged. He was speechless. Even though he never knew Azari, he could feel how the others felt about losing their beta. He wanted to say something to Aimi to calm her down, but sadness choked his words.

Seidai didn't find it quite an honor right now. He bowed his head to the beta and layed next to him. He let tears slip out of his eyes at an amazing speed. He didn't smile. He has lost so many...

Kiara rushed into the clearing and stopped dead planting her paws. While her paws planted on the ground the rest of her body flew forward and then her paws flung up. She was now laying face flat on the ground. When she looked up her eyes were wide with horror. Azari.. he.. he was gone. This was all her fault! She had strayed from the pack to be alone.. and now this! Tears escaped her eyes like a rapid river. Her cheeks were now damp.

Riku didn't feel the pride he thought he would if ever given this honor. He didn't feel a burst of happiness in following his father's pawsteps. He didn't feel anything but cold. Azari...one of the bravest wolves he knew, was dead. Just gone. Destiny was dead. The wolves from the old forest were slowly being taken from the world of the living. He knew that there would come a time when no wolves from the old forest rested among them, and that this was just the beginning. Azari had been a brilliant beta...he would never be forgotten. He lowered his head with grief.

Kiara stayed where she was. She let her body go limp and made her seem lifeless. She was paralyzed with grief. Their new terras held death before them. The wolves fo the second era were slowly joining Twilight... Kiara was among the wolves of the second era.. she had no apprentice but there was one that she could train.. Adrian a young wolf that helped Flower give birth to her pups.

Rhyme padded over. Reason not at her side but near Akaira, "Arari, may you rest in peace," she murmured quietly. She didn't know the beta very well, she didn't even know her leader wel..

Flower got out of the nursery with the five pups, Winter, Rye, Lilly Pad, Fang, and Myth. They were all walking with her. She looked around for her mate and finally found him. All of the new born pups followed Flower as she walked toward him. Then she layed down next to him. "Sooo what did I miss?" She asked him.
