Thank Verlust these things are unconscious... Deep in Blood Mist territory, a lithe, spider-legged she-wolf leaped carefully amongst the sheer rocks that rimmed the Indigo Falls. Just before the battle, the discovery of a cavern and tunnel beneath the waterfalls had created some strategic interest. Unfortunately, they hadn't been able to thoroughyl explore where the tunnels led before the battle had erupted, but it was certain they would be put to future use. For now, the cavern would be perfect for Arachna's purposes: a place for two stolen pups where escape was not an option. When they woke, she would explain it clearly: If try and and run or if you flail too much, you'll fall off a cliff and drown in a raging waterfall. Is that what you want? Arachna carried each pup separately to the hidden cavern, taking care to be quick so no other creature would scarf up the miserably little morsels. At long last, she climbed into the musty stone den with her two prisoners, hissing as water sprayed her pelt. I better get a good reward for this... She sat down to wash while she waited for her prisoners to awake.

“Hey, that’s no fair… it’s my turn!” “No way—dad’s giving me a ride next!” “But you’ve already gone twice—mom!” A snake began to hiss. “Mom! There’s a snake!” It was growing larger, hissing louder. “MOM! Mom…? DAD!!” An ear twitched, and suddenly solid reality thrust gravity back into the equation. She was groggy, and the world was blurry, and somehow, somewhere, she felt like water was dribbling on her cheek. Her eyes creaked open, making out the blurred mound of her sister, but no other bodies. …did… did everyone eat breakfast without us…? That wet sensation again. Her nostrils twitched, but her whiskers only felt heavier with spray. And that snake… What…? Isis jolted upright, glancing wildly about until the mouth of a waterfall snarled coldly back at her. Finally, she found her balance, and stood with her back arched like a feral feline. Her fur was damp, though evidently a mirror image to her grandmother, and she finally found herself staring into the eyes of her captor. Still unable to summon memories of their kidnap, Isis nudged her sleeping littermate with a hind paw, and growled at Arachna. “Hey… hey! What’s the big idea—who do you think you are?”

Huh? Wah? Cleo blinked away the last of a troubled, patchy sleep only to be faced with an even more troubled and patchy waking. The cold stone cavern was not the warm, cozy nursery at home, and there was only one other squirming body next to her. Wide-eyed and panicked, Cleo whirled around, but all she saw was cold stone and rock, and a curntain of water at the mouth of an ugly gray den. And a demon wolf hovering over them with a strange look of concern on her features. "Who are you?! Why's it all cold and wet?!"
Time for a magic show. "Oh, young ones! It pains me to see you look at me like this. Don't you already know who I am? Have they made you forget me already?" She bent down to the pups' level, eyes worried and searching. "I wonder what else they made you forget, poor, poor Isis and Cleo." She swiped her tongue across their tiny bodies in an attempt to warm them. "My name is Arachna. I'm the one who rescued you."

Isis blinked disbelievingly back at her captor. “…what?” She positioned herself between Cleo and the outsider, albeit clumsily, only to received a helping of overzealous slobber for her efforts. Yick, her breath smells like badger… or a moose… a madger! She shook herself, retreating a few steps and glaring at Arachna, though her voice lost the throaty growl (if you could call it that at her age) that she had once used. “A rescue… from… what?” She still blanked at the whole kidnapping scenario, and was becoming more nervous from her lack of memory by the minute. She edged closer to her sibling, and attempted to summon more courage to her voice. “Where are we?”

The world seemed to be spinning, though Cleo remained stationary. She didn't understand the words being fed to her, and thus could not swallow them. She peered anxiously from Isis to Arachna, whimpering slightly. "What are you even talking about? Of course we don't know you, we've never met you before! And why would we need rescuing? It was fine and warm where we were, and now we're just in this cold, wet, cave!"
Arachna sighed softly and made her eyes sad as she stared off into the distance, away from the pups. "Of course they would've made it seem nice and warm and harmless," she whispered softly. Slowly, she turned back to the pups, expression serious. "Don't you remember? You were kidnapped. Taken from us, taken from your home, and your family! The stole you away and made you believe you were part of the pack! They were going to turn you against your own kin!" She crouched close to them and curled her tail over their back. "There there, little ones, your mother will be here soon to explain everything -- oh she hasn't slept one night since you were taken! But now you're back and safe and sound, and everything will be as it should be!"
