Bzzz. Bzz. Bzzzzzz-
The noisy fly was quickly dismissed by an ginger and white tail. The canine owner of the furry whip sighed contently. "Ah~ Much better." He whispered to himself quietly as he rested, his tail swinging back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and-"Squack!" A bird's call broke the ginger brute's peaceful thoughts. Startled by the sudden noise, the wolf's head shot up, causing the branch he had been napping on to quake beneath him. He clung to the churning limb as tightly as he could, leaves as green as his right eye and pine needles as orange as his fur dropping to the forest floor far below. Gradually, the branch stopped moving and the debri quit falling.
After making sure the branch was done shaking, the small pup allowed his fur fall flat and his heart to stop racing. He let out the breath he had been holding in. "Guh! Geez, I thought I was a goner fer sure!" Still a bit drowsy from his nap, the orange canine yawned loudly, instinctively stretching his legs out in front of him. It was only when he started to slide off of the branch did he realize his mistake. "Aaaaagh!" The small brute reached out desperately for a limb, and, as luck would have it, he got a hold of one. The branch creaked under his weight, snapping and popping as he attempted to claw his way onto the branch.
Well the branch wouldn't have that. It broke and sent the feline plummeting to the ground, which, as it turned out, wasn't to far from where the branch had been. Scanning himself with mismatched eyes and finding no injuries, the tom relaxed a little, only to tense up again as the branch came down towards him. "Yeeeeee!" The small branch came crashing beside him, missing him by a few centimeters.
Poor Kichigai couldn't decide if he were the luckiest pup in the world or the most unfortunate canine to ever exist.
