The fiery she-wolf plodded onward, head to the dirt and tail dragging lightly behind her. Her once vibrant, copper eyes were watery with crystal tears. Even the world around her seemed dull. She used to see so much beauty in all that was;; in life, in death, in every creature that had ever taken breath. She used to burn on with a contaigious flare of happiness. In these dark times, Fireflight had done her best to be the signal fire of rescue ; to stand up and hope, dream it would all end well. Fireflight had held fast to her hopes, refusing to be detered by even the most pessimistic of wolves. She'd scorched those who had tried to hold her back and had shed light for those who were stuck in the dark. But now, as her fire was doused with a whole new waterfall of sorrow, her blaze was being blotted out.

(can I bring a dead wolf?)
The shimmering figure of a silver wolf appeared. "Fireflight." came a deep, strong voice. "Why so down lately?" Thoth was concerned for his old packmate.

Fireflight looked to the pale form of Thoth, eyes pooling with desperation. "I...I..." she started, unsure of how to continue. "I can't do it, Thoth!" She whispered, sliding to the ground. She allowed them to poor, knowing full well that it was time to grieve. Dream...I need you now...oh, how I miss you! "And....and sometimes, I need someone to tell me it's okay, that it's going to really be alright and sometimes I just need someone to care....someone to hold me once in a while because Thoth, I can't do this...n-not alone..." she slurred, chest heaving with her sobs.

Thoth lay his ghostly tail across Fireflight's back and pressed against her side. "Okay, then. Fireflight..." he himself was unsure of how to continue. "It's going to be okay. Remember, you have a whole big pack up there taking care of you."

Euphrates... The wolf she loved, perhaps. She didn't know where he was at the precise moment. Maybe he's still at the gathering... The atmosphere was light with the waking day, but clouds obscured much of it. With a roaring applause from the heavens, the water began to fall in dollops to the waiting Earth. Sometimes, you just need to cry... Fireflight closed her eyes tight and allowed the tears to flow silently, breathing slowly and calming her quaking heart. Sometimes you just need to bleed it out...

Thoth looked up. Thanks Rhain. Just what we needed to cheer someone up! He put his head on the ground. His body was still somewhat transparent.

And I, no I can't be the only one...
Fireflight looked up to the pouring skies with the smallest of smiles. She let the rain run down through her blazing pelt. Just as the plants need winter to rest and they need spring to be reborn, the flame that was Fireflight needed the rain to wash her away and birth her once more. "Thank you, Thoth..." she murmured softly.

As the words came out of her mouth, the shimmery figure was gone. In his place there was the slight impression of a wolf in the dirt. He was watching as Spring washed over the forest, and cleaned away the sorrows.

Fireflight laid down once more in the sopping grass. The green fronds clung to her dripping pelt, but she took no notice of them. She closed her tired, amber eyes and allowed the water to flow down over her. The fiery spirit rested in the rain, recooperating for the many hard moons to come. Like the blazing new day, she'd be reborn.

Form of a very round around the middle femmora was trudging across the plains. Her lower stomach hung so low it almost touched the ground. Her tounge lolled from her mouth, icy pools taking in the surroundings. Auds half perked half drooping. She was more then exhausted, having come here from the loner lands. Still, the scent of Destinian was on her pelt. She was a Destinian. Her paws and lower legs were muddy. Her pelt was plastered to her, still she was beautiful. The femme's breathing was labored. Any minute now she'd collapse on her side and she'd have to have her pups. She couldn't hold them in much longer. Her tired eyes caught sight of a fae lying in the grass up ahead.

Fireflight was emersed in the sweet caress of springtime, hardly aware of her surroundings at all. The rain soothed her, spiritually, emotionally, physically, and wholly. Behind her closed lids, fire sparked and danced with the splattering rainwater. She was in the arms of the heavens abover her, in the arms of the spirits, and in the arms of her dearly departed sister. She was taking part in the healing of harms. But heavy breathing roused her slighty, awakening her outer senses once more. She blinked her lovely, copper eyes open. They reted upon a pregnant femme, about to give birth, she inferred. Standing slowly, she examined the fae witha guarded gaze. There was something eerily familiar about her... Through all of the mud and muck that was plastered against her pelt, Fireflight made out Svel, a warrior of her pack. "Svel!" she gasped, whirling around. The camp was far from this area of the terra, and she wasn't at all sure where she would find Sedaka or Kikii.

Silver femme perked dirty auds to the sound of her name being called. As she trudged forward, literally dragging her paws, she managed to scent the air. It was a familier aroma. A Destinian aroma. It took her worn out mind several moments to place it, and she still didn't know the name until after she had examined the fae's coat and seen the color of her eyes. It was Firelight. There was a painful churning inside her. Falling down the femme lowered herself to her side. In the middle of the Starlit plains, with rain pouring down and no wolf but Firelight near, she was going to have her pups. Her pale pink tounge lolled from her maw. Side's heaving, her breathing was labored. "Firelight.Pups.Coming." Was all she managed before an agony filled moan escaped her maw. The first of her children, a pup of her own and a killer who had raped her, was entering the world.

Fireflight's eyes were wide with shock, and panic was beginning to seep into her blazing orbs. She was no healer...she knew nothing about herbs and what was used during a birthing. How was she supposed to help Svel? She could attempt to run the distance back to camp and seek help from the herb healer neophyte -- she was one of the fastest sprinters in the forest. But Svel was already going into labor.... "Hang on, Svel! I'll be back in a few moments!" And the once broken fae set off across the plains like a forest fire.

Fate was not far behind Svel. She was helping her along, and she had paused a little back. She came forward and was soon at Svel's side. "Dear Svel, your pups are coming. They will be safe here, but I will accompany you for the time being," the darkish brown femora murmured.
OOC: oh sorry destiny I didn't know what you were talking about

Fireflight returned, having summoned Kiki to come to the scene of the birthing. "Kiki's on her way, Svel," Fireflight breathed. "She should be here in a moment or two! Just hang in there, hun," she panted. She licked Svel's side warmly, a friendly gesture of the bonds of packmates. She stayed by her packmate's side, murmuring comfort and optimism. The rain still poured on, but Fireflight felt as though she was burning brightly once more.
