Shasta padded along the fringes of Yozoran territory to the area known as the Eclipsed woods. He sat near the trunk of a large, tall, dark tree. The young brute rasped his tongue over her sooty grey fur, cleaning the cold frost from his pelt and paws. He leaned back against the tree's trunk, ears pricked for the sound of wolves. He was both anxious and excited to train with Pernille and Iver. The father and daughter pair were rather distant from Iver's brother, Dagfinn. They were all honorable wolves, just disliked each other. Her was also anxious because Pernille had been training longer than him. Well, maybe it will be fun! And it could be. He'd heard of some situations where this occurred before. It would definitly be a unique experiance he would never forget.

Iver weaved his form silently through the tall tree's trunks. Paws making no sound as they danced along the soft earth. Shasta would be up ahead waiting for him. Pernille should be near too. This would be Shasta's first training session. Iver planned to sneak up on the brute. Approaching him from a direction in which the wind would not carry his scent to Shasta. The lesson would be one of fighting. Iver had a feeling Shasta would learn to fight by doing so. Which meant training him would be interesting. Pernille was older but would be a fine sparring partner for Shasta.

Shasta's paws prickled with unease. He'd been waiting for quite a while, and he doubted Iver would keep him here long or just not show up. Perhaps there was something wrong going on back at the camp? He stood, pelt bristling ever-so slightly. He took a few steps, then paused, trying to scent the air. Maybe I should head back.

Iver paused. Paw steps from Shasta. The brute stood behind Shasta now. "You must train your ears to hear things very well." Iver lept over Shasta. Standing in front of him the brute smiled. "Always, always be ready. You never know what lurks in the shadows."

Pernille was almost skipping near by Iver when he was walking and knew that Shasta was near by. She continued to skip until she knowest that his scent was very near. The fae looked at the tree from where the scent came from. Pernille walked around the tree and saw the new neophyte. "Hey Shasta, waiting for Iver?" She asked him unknowesting Iver who was very near by.

Shasta took a step back, no expecting his mentor to come leaping out over him. He smiled kindly, but shyly, at Pernille. "Not anymore!" he barkwed with amusement. He turned to Iver, nodding with seriousness. "I'll remember that next time," he vowed. "So what are we covering today" he asked, excited and ever-so curious.

Iver smiled, sitting back on his haunches. "I was thinking of having you too practice a bit of fighting. I've done a bit of practice with Pernille and I think you will be able to keep up with her. Sound good to you both?" He flicked his auds from one neophyte to the other. Greenish brown pools taking them both in. Something told him Shasta would be a fine fighter.

Pernille nodded to Iver and sat down. "Do you want me to help Shasta with somethings that he doesn't get if there isn't any?" She asked her mentor a simple question. That was a thing that a neophyte would ask if someone needed help.

Iver only smiled. "You can do that if you'd like, Pernille." He was well able to instruct Shasta himself. But he liked the idea of his neophytes helping each other. It would be good for them.

Shasta nodded, taking up a defensive crouch. His light, brown eyes rested on Pernille, observing and analyzing her with his gaze. He tensed, ready for whatever the slightly older wolf would throw at him.
