White mitts carried a some what large brute though the Eclipsed Woods. The scent of prey filled his nose, but that ws not what he would be doing today. This time Caspian was just out on a walk. His brown eyes took in all the scenery. It was quite beautiful actually. The trees were beging to turn green again and you young sprouts of the wild flowers startes to poke there way out of the groud. today was one of the thoes warm days you get before a cold spell and to Caspian the day was good. Young birds twittered in the tree tops and they sang thier merry tune for the brute. Caspian smiled replied to their chirps.
"Lovely day for a song isn't it." He said, a large grin spread across his maw.

A fit of loud coughing shattered the calm of dusk. Through the dark, leafless trees loped a young pair of neophytes. One, the one who had been coughing, was colored inky black. He was aptly named, Crow.
The second was a femme, a silvery shade with hints of crimson. In her jaws hung a freshly caught snowshoe. They buried their catch and moved on, scenting for more prey.
The tragedies had left their pack weak and without the determination to live on. The sickness had choked them, and now Sharpie was dead...mudered. Holly was missing. But deep down...they all knew she wouldn't be able to make it without Sharpie.
Olive had been found, but had she really? Parents dead. Brother dead. Pack being ripped apart.
Crow spotted Caspian and frowne at his words, not speaking.

The sound of coughing and paw steps caught Caspian's attention. He turned to see two wolves approaching and both were neophytes. He sat back on his haunches knowing that he would probably regret it since his fur was white and it would be a bit difficult to get the twigs and dirt of his behind. The birds were still twittering in the trees. They sang the song of the evening to any one in the woodlands willing to listen. Waiting patiently, Caspian allowd the two young wolves to approach him before h spoke.
"Hello. What brings you out here this fine evening?" He asked.

Crow frowned again. "Camp is miserable, Caspian. And just because we're all stony with grief doesn't mean we should starve. Our warriors don't die in vain;; we must continue on. It's taking a long time for wolves to come around with all the recent...tragedies. So we decided to be useful an hunt. How about yourself?"

"Indeed. It has been quite gloom about the camp hasn't it? I'm with you on this one little one. The other wolves must learn to live with our losses. Life must continue on with out them. When will the wolves who constantly mourn do when the dead are buried? Will then continue to weep over their bones and dust? It depresses me to see such a pitiful spirit around the camp so I had to get away from it. Sometimes I think it might drive me insane." Caspian explained.
"Perhaps I should go with you. Three hunters are better then two. We'll be able to take more food back to those of us who are living."

Medium sized brute danced along the forest floor. Canvas was a mix of silver, grey, brown and the odd splotch of white. Here and there it darkened so much that you might think there was ebony adorning his peltage as well, but no. Auds perked for the sounds of life. Prey, predator, maybe even other wolven. The Yozoran Pack's beta was not an old wolf, still young and strong. Pools of emerald and sky picked apart the picteuresque landscape, though he knew it by heart he memerized it once again. It could never hurt to know ever knook and cranny of the pack's terra. In the canopy above the sweet melody of bird song filled brute's ears. From velvet maw slipped a call of reply. "How can thy be so happy when tragedy has stricked the forest? Please share with me thy secret." Brute's voice was a rough low melody as he stiffled another wretched cough.

Auds pricked again when the sound of yet another wolves approached them.
"Its isn't as easy said as done, but I know that we will find a cure to this sickness and there will come others that will be able to help mend the hole left behind by our fallen comrades. Its hope that keeps me moving forward." Caspian explained to the brute.
"Its never going to be easy and this sickness isn't making things any better, but I know that there will be a better and brighter future."

As the voice of another wolf approached his auds brute shook his crown slightly. Smiling he broke through the brush to see that the speaker was Caspian. "I like the way you think Caspian." He smiled half-heartedly. "And you are more then right. But the fact that there will be a cure does not lessen the blow when a wolf dies, nor does it lessen the sadness and heartache that many feel."

"Thanks you. Yes, indeed you are right. Painful is the wound the dead leave in the hearts of some. Sometimes it is too painful, but we must move on. We have to or life's circle will cease to continue for us. Bitter weeping will not solve the growing problems for our pack along with all the others. I may sound like what I'm talking about, but It is never as easy as it appears especially for those who have been here a long time. Bothers, sisters, mothers, and fathers, the closest to us all are the ones who sometimes leave the biggest scars. Still even though we lose so much I still feel like there is an ounce of hope in this bleak time. Trust me. You just wait." With the last line Caspian smiled. [/blockquote]

As Caspian spoke Iver listened. There was something about Caspian. The wolf seemed so wise. And the way he spoke, he made everything just...make sense. Iver dipped his crown in respect to the other wolf when he had finished. "You are a wise wolf Caspian, and the words you speak are very very true. I can think of nothing to counter them." A crooked smile appeared on brute's silver velvet maw.

Caspian forced himself not to blush. It was not common for him to get complementing words. He forced his burning cheeks into a smile. He sighed silently.
"Thank you. My wisdom and advice comes only from the heart so that I may help others in an honest way."
There was a brief pause before Caspian spoke again.
"Shall we hunt then? It seems like people have forgotten to eat and sometimes food will take the edge off the pain. Plus lets not let the healthy living become the dead."

Iver nodded once to Caspian. Brute was famished, hadn't eaten for several days. Scenting the air he caught the obvious scents of the forest. Trees, grass, dirt, wolves. There was a faint whiff of fox far off in the distance, carried to him by the wind. Closer he scented rabbit, or perhaps hare.

Caspian sniffed the ground and then the air. He recognized all the scents. Some were distant and old, but there were a few fresh ones. There was one particularly fresh scent that caught Caspian's attention. The violently sniffed the ground while briskly walking to a nearby section of the woods. He pressed through a bit of underbrush to find a pheasant pecking quietly at the ground for seeds and small bugs. Caspian lunged at the bird, sinking his pearly fangs through feather and flesh. The bird squawked and violently beat his wings, but there was no use. Within seconds the bird was dead. Caspian returned from the gorse with the fresh kill hanging limply from his jaw.
"I caught whiff of many different prey through there." He said after setting down his kill and burring it lightly with leaves and grass. "
