He knew he was taking a chance with venturing into this territory. He needed a home, and he had nothing to lose. If they wanted to kill him, he would fight for himself, but it would be half heartedly. He had killed his kin, he had disappointed his father, and he had stood by while his brother had almost murdered their father. He wasn't worthy of a pack anymore, but he wouldn't be able to survive much longer without one. It was hard to take down prey that was three times the size of you by yourself, and he had succeeded only once. And that had left him with a painful limp and a bloodied side. But the limp was fading, and the gash was healing. It still bled occasionally, but it didn't worry him. He had survived through worse. He knew he had to prove himself to become a part of a pack, and this was the first one he had wandered across. By the smells and the sights he knew it would be a good home. And he was ready to belong somewhere, if only they would have him. Sighing slightly, he gazed around the forested area he was in and wondered how he was going to be discovered. The land of the Siverian Pack was expansive, and his scent would be around a few places now because of his wanderings.
He decided to stay put for the time being. The male standing in the clearing was massive, but in no way fat. He was rather thin, and that was obvious by his emaciated appearance. He had been surviving on his own, but it hadn't been easy. It wasn't easy for any wolf to survive on their own, no matter if they were able or not. He looked over his shoulder for a moment and wondered if he had made the right decision in coming here. He should have met on nuetral ground, but then any member of any pack could pick him up. He wanted to prove to the Siverian's that he was capable of being a part of their pack, and he would do anything to defend any one of them no matter what. Looking up to the tree lines for a moment, he wondered what he would do if he was not accepted. The wolf knew that he had to be submissive, but he was not ready to launch himself onto the ground at the feet of the alpha. He was not like that, and he was not ready to put himself at that risk. He would stand his ground and be respectful, but that was about it. He was a firm believer of the earning respect to get respect line, even though it probably wasn't best now that he was trying to be accepted into a pack. Kovre sighed once more and then lowered his haunches onto the ground so that he was in a sitting position. The uniquely colored male tilted his head back and released his mournful howl into the air. The wolves around here wouldn't recognize it, and he hoped it would call attention to them. Cutting it off after a few moments, he stood once more and waited. His blue green eyes searched the border of the clearing, and he began to wonder if he had done the right thing by coming here.

The mist shifted and swirled, revealing the ghostly figure of Siveria. The lovely, silvery blue femmora looked upon Kovre with an amused gaze. She padded toward him on thin air, paws not touching the ground. A light snow began to fall, dusting the undergrowth with white powder. Siveria stopped and sat down in front of Kovre, licking her paw casually as if she'd scarcely noticed he was there. After a few moments of silence, the goddess of winter spoke, voice soft and light, almost feathery sounfing. "Greetings, Kovre. You've come to the lands of what will be known as the Siverian Pack. They named it after me, though I hardly deserve it. And just to make one thing clear, I'm dead. Yes, it's rather strange for the dead to come marching into the living realm and speak to its inhabitants. However, as it is winter, and I am its goddess, I have a few special privliges. I won't be able to stay here long, though. Oh, and by the way, the packs are currently in the Twilight Clearing. Well, the Siverians and Yozorans are. And actually, they haven't been named yet. You see, the four packs have traveled far across the mountains. They've literally just arrived. However, Night and Silenthowl will take care of business there soon enough. You might be here for a day or two, but don't be discouraged; a wolf will find you soon enough." Siv sighed, smiling a crooked smile as more snow drifted down from the darkening heavens. The snow passed through her transparent form as if she wasn't even there. She glanced back at Kovre, studying the wolf with interest. He seemed to be a well-built and sturdy brute. "You're ready and willing," she noted. "however, you're a determined one. You aren't afraid to hold your ground. You might need a pack to survive, but you would never for a moment consider selling your soul for entrance to a pack." Siveria nodded as she gazed at him. "You'll fit in perfect."

His blue grey orbs searched around the clearing that he had made his arrival within. He didn't know what to think or what to do with himself except wait. The pack members would come, that he was sure of. They would sense him, and he would sense them. He himself would go to him, but he knew that if he wanted acceptance into this pack he could not act that over dominating for the first meeting. He was strong and defiant, yes, but he was intelligent and knew the manners that he was supposed to hold close to him. But Kovre was not a wolf to sit around and do nothing. He felt useless and bored, and right now, that was now agreeing within him. Standing upon lithe, long limbs, he let his dial turn every which way to study the clearing around him. What was he going to do with himself while he waited for the arrival of the pack members? He honestly had no idea. Pacing for a moment, his nose caught scent of something strange, and it seemed to be coming at him from all directions. Instead of running and slinking off in misunderstanding and fear, Kovre stood his ground. He let his nose drift into the air, taking in deep breaths to decipher what it could be. But the male had never smelt anything like this before.
Snorting as he took an exceptionally deep breath, he shook his dial and pranced to his right, wondering what could be the creator of the smell. Or who really. At that thought he stiffened, in case it was an enemy that he needed to be cautious of. Sometimes he got so interested in figuring out what could be happening around him he forgot himself. But not now. His uniquely colored orbs widened as he saw the bluish silver wolfess making her way into the area. But she had nothing beneath her feet, and her appearance was almost transparent but not. He tilted his head in question, his tail remaining at a level height. he was not going to show submission to something he wasn't even sure existed. He didn't know whether to growl or whine in curiousity. He remained silent though, and looked up as he felt the flakes of snow dusting his pelt. This was an odd experience. When the goddess began to speak, he felt calm but interested, not knowing what was going to happen but knowing he wasn't going to be hurt. hearing her explanation, he nodded his head in thanks. Kovre was a wolf of few words to say the least. As she started away, he heard her words about himself, and wondered if she was serious. He figured he owed her an audible thanks. He watched her start to disappear and finally prompted himself to speak. "Thank you." It sounded stupid and misplaced but he didn't want her thinking that he was ungrateful. Sighing softly, he looked around as she vanished, not knowing what to do while he waited. He was a bit freaked out by the appearance of a spirit, for that had never happened to him. But there wasn't much he could do about it, except believe it. Shaking his dial in wonder and amazement, he turned away from where she had appeared and studied the clearing, looking for a place he could sleep and a place he could hunt. He could take care of himself, for he had done it since he was born. He could survive.
