Death picked up the pace untill the flames were a mere blur around him. He stopped when they reached the black mountains that marked the borders of Tartarus. A shimmering, silvery, amber figure stood at their base, itching furiously.

Lupus glided beside Death, and lurched to a halt as Death did. He directed his attention to the figure fore of the mountains. "Is that--?"

"The walls of Tartarus? Yes," he answered darkly, glancing around for a moment. "Heather?" he barked to the fae. She looked up and shrunk away from them, arching her back and spitting fiercly despite her obvious fear. "Devil's fiends! What else do you want from me?! You'll have to fight for it!" It waa apparent she did not know who they were.

Lupus eyed Heather. Eyes following her, he leaned towards Death and barked softly. "Is she sane?"

Heather snarled.
Death nodded. "Lucid, actually. It's Tartarus that's insane," He told his father.

"Alright then." Lupus glided over to Heather. "Hello, I'm Lupus. And you are?"

Lupus landed lightly on the ground, his paws absorbing the impact. He could feel the earth, hot and firery against the pads of his feet. "Do you know how you got here?"

Heather narrowed her eyes. "Well i think his name was Grit...he paralyzed me. Then this little Grey Mist fae stuck her nose in, saw I was only paralyzed, and finished me off. Daughter of Verlust!" She snarled.

"GreyMist fae?" Lupus narrowed his eyes suspiciously. "And Grit? Well, what do you think?" He glanced at Death. "Verlust followers in the making, or menatlly disturbed?"

Death flicked his tail uneasily. "One can never be sure. It would be worth looking into," he suggested. A bluish mist now tinted the sky. "Feather."

Lupus nodded, then glanced upward. Though he had quarreled with the fae, Feather was important to Rhain. "All prisoners as souls... What a way to go."

Feather was closer than Heather had been, so Death caught up with her quickly. Heather followed. "Feather!"
Feather whirled around and smiled warily at him. "Greetings, Death."

Lupus lowered his head and morphed into a black feline the size of a bobcat. He looked up with shining, crimson eyes at Feather. "Do you know how long you've been here?"

"Long enough," She sighed wearily. "Long enough to have seen things not meant for my eyes..." she frowned. "There will be seven wolves vanishing within a week. And there will be two litters born soon." She offered a half-smile. "And there will also be a sacrifice...of which I cannot speak of."
