He stood, hunched over the dark, flickering flames. He was nude; stripped of his fur by the fiery breath of his own treachery. Scars ran up and down his red, bloodied skin. His weak and decaying bone structure protruded from his body, sticking out of the broken tissue with sickly *snaps*. "Why...why, oh why?! He showed me the way...they call him Diablo! He showed me the way of the kill! HAVE ENOUGH MERCY TO BURN HIM HERE WITH ME!" he roared, broken claws scoring at the stone walls of his prison. They cursed me Paris... triumphant and highly regarded. "THEY LIED TO ME!" he screeched, sending up embers into his own bloodshot eyes. "I WILL KILL YOU, ANNANTI! I WILL SLAY YOU AND LET YOU BLEED INTO THE SAND!" I will kill you.

Slash padded calmly up to the hysteric wolf. "Hola Paris. Or should I say, bonjour?" She laughed wickedly to herself. "Don't blame the pour fae. It's you who brought yourself here."

Paris narrowed his eyes. "Traitor!" He spat, venom erupting from his maw. "Weren't you that stupid little Blood Mist fae who turned all smooshy and soft?! You took away our greatest leader, too! How did the likes of you even get down here?!" He demanded, eyes fiery and livid. "Oh, I suppose the little plaything lets you in? That's all Death has become...something to have fun with!" He smiled dangerously, kicking embers into her eyes. "Have fun then, Slashie!!" He darted, determined to find the way Slash had come in. He was getting out of there...

Slash laughed. It was more of a scoff, actually. "I have a free ticket in here, sunny." She flicked away a few embers on her shoulder. "Dear, I almost LIVE here. My mate is the ruler of this place. Why would silly little embers hurt me?"
She pranced around him. "If I was so smooshy and soft, could I do this..." She flicked her ears and a ball of flame erupted in front of them, setting the ground ablaze with live fire. She smiled wickedly.

Paris ignored her snickering, wheeling around wildly. He eyes flickered across every inch of the realm, determined that there was indeed some sort of escape. He gaze finally came to rest on a large gate, black iron doors squeaking as they swung in and out. "I believe you are quite ignorant, m'dear. Where there's a way in...there's another way out." He padded forward eyes narrowed with smug triumph.

Slash laughed again, and the gate disappeared. "Oh, the fun I have. Paris, dear, there IS no way out. I can simply poof myself anywhere. It's quite an advantage really."
She appeared infront of him.

Paris continued to smile, rolling his eyes. "The gate's still there, Slash. You can hide it from me, but you can't make it disappear completely...only one wolf can do that. And I'm sure the Golden Wolf would have no reason at all to get rid of Tartarus. It is welcoming me, and I'm sick of your babbling. My brothers and I shall unite under it's flaming roofs. The only reason you don't want me to go is because you can't follow me there;; only Death and Flame can. Move!" He grunted, pressing past Slash. Indeed, the gate was merely invisible. He yanked open what was possibly a handle and stepped through the empty space. Vanish.

Death sighed wearily, then answered his mate's call. He'd had fun torturing Hagen for a while;; the brute had yet to move from the place he'd first been put. He strolled leisurely over to Slash. "Yes?"

Slash growled. "THAT STUPID SON OF A CAT SAW THE FRIGGIN GATE!"
She sat down, ignoring the flicker of flame that caught her tail. "He got away, all because of that STUPID GATE! The Golden Wolf IS you're Gran Daddeh Death, dear. You could get it removed or something."

Death's eyes immediately darkened. "People throw that name around today as if it is nothing!" He snarled, pacing. His claws clicked together, taking on a furious posture. "They don't understand what happened to our dearest Father. We throw his name in the dirt!" He spat, still pacing. "When will it become clear that we don't own this world? When will it become clear that He does? But he doesn't kill us all on purpose! We've brought the war to ourselves...it is in our blood, and for that, he's made us honorable warriors and nothing more or less!" He hissed, stopping abruptly. "Eh...sorry....I've been wanting to rant about that for a while...." He turned backed to Slash, eyes lighter again. "I can't remove the gate. He could, but why would He help the race that has forgotten the path through these mists?" He sighed, heart heavy, and layed down in the embers. "We've forgotten. Soon, this forest will be exactly as it was a century ago. In turmoil and a river of blood. If they manage to survive that, It will be the work of a miracle. And I know of only one wolf who could do that....he has no reason to look upon us."

Slash sighed and lay down beside him, the tip of her tail still burning, but, for some reason, the flame stayed. "Even if it did, Dear, I'll always be euphoric about my choice to come here. With you."

Death offered her a half-smile and blew out the flame on her tail. "Part of me wishes we would've stayed. I mean...led Blood Mist. But not in the way we'd originally done it. No...I wish we would've lived elsewhere. Perhaps there would've been three other packs. I wish we'd been in another spectrum entirely..." he admitted.

Slash glanced around. A wolf was limping in the distance, singed fur still aflame, and tail dragging the ashen ground. It howled mournfully. She nodded hesitantly. "So do I, love. So do I..."
(OMG!! I JUST GOT A WAY AWESOME IDEA FOR A MINI PLOT!! XD)

(Tell me tell me tell meeeee!! =] )
Death glanced at her, uncertainty in his eyes. "Are you alright, dearest?" he woofed, voice softer than usual. His heart ached slightly. He loved Slash. Devils weren't supposed to love. He'd already gotten past that part...it just amazed him more and more each day. Memories of life came rushing back to him. He missed it. Dearly.
