Saskia's shaking paws took her up the rockface, clinging to the stones desperately. His dark form was just behind her, worried eyes never leaving her. "Crow...go home." Saskia muttered. "You shouldn't have to suffer for the decisions I made!"
"And should I have to suffer alone and without you? Because you know I would, Saskia. You know I can't be without you!" Crow snapped back, tone icy and cutting.
She fell silent for a few moments, pulling herself up onto the flat, cold cliff. "And I'll never understand how I could be loved by you, Crow...but nevertheless, my heart is yours." She sighed, eyes weary and tired.
Crow pulled himself up after Saskia, nuzzling her comfortingly. "Would you mind telling me why we had to come all the way up here?"
Saskia's eyes turned foggy, fading to a far-away, fleeting memory. "We're here to find a wolf named Zeffen....we're here to find my father."

Crow's tail flicked;; a prescence was beside them. Holly...if you're here...watch over us... he prayed silently.
Saskia and Crow treked through the frozen turf, smears of blood from the long-ago battles still staining the cold surfaces. "He left...I'm not sure of the exact story, but he left the forest, I think..." She murmured. "I don't know...I can just feel it..."

A brute padded forward, a silent aura wreathed about his being that radiated the sorrow of a thousand battles. A thousand battles that had long since taken place within the fabric of his fragile conscience. And I know.... there's nothing I can say to change that part. To change that part.... Zeffen halted, digging his heels into the ground. Fury bit down on his skull. How could this happen? So long ago, it had been... but now there was nothing else worth thinking about. She's dead... and now there isn't anything worth dying for.

Saskia stood tall, stock still as a scent drifted under her nostrils. This scent had only passed her once, but it was an aroma she'd never forgotten, though she'd been young. Pacing forward, a new spring entered her step. "He's here, Crow! I can feel it....ZEFFEN!" She howled, whirling about. She still didn't know what had driven her to come this far,...and she was almost certain now she'd be returning to the Yozorans...but she still needed some closure. Some sort of confirmation. Just the simple difference of life and death in the matter of her father.
