Lakota met Destiny's gaze for a moment. All there was was a wistful gleam, and the rest was unreadable. In a soft voice, he spoke. "Don't look over the cliff in GreyMist terra," he murmured. Lakota closed his eyes. "Whatever you do... don't." He still cared for her... he didn't want her to see his mangled body on the bottom of that cliff, legs crushed and neck impaled.

Destiny's orbs remained cold and emotionless."No wolf will ever look over that cliff again.Not from Grey Mist anyway.We are leaving at dawn.I'm not bringing them back to the camp.We will be staying by the Mirrow Lake until dawn."Lakota stilled cared for her and she for him.But the fact that he had chosen Alaskansong hurt more than any pain imaginable."You have three pups.A daughter Akaira.A son Rapier and another son Loni."Pain seeped into her voice now."Loni was taken by the psycopathic murderer Mephisto."Now the pain in her tone was apparent."The only thing that hurts as much as the fact that you chose Alaskansong over me.Is the fact that I have to leave my son behind."Orbs remained emotionless.But her voice was masked in heart wrenching sorrow.

Lakota winced, but he would not lie to Destiny to make her feel better. No, he did choose Alaskansong over her... and it was killing him inside that he had left Destiny in such despair. "Mephisto will burn in Hellfire," he woofed bitterly. "...And I'm sorry, but I made a promise to Alaskansong. My sister... she told me to move on... But I never was able to... and I'm sorry. And... feel free to keep the father's name a secret from the pups," he murmured, lowering his head. "Any recognition I deserve died at the bottom of that cliff." He straightened himself, and turned to leave. "I suppose the pawprints on the lakeshore are gone by now," he muttered so softly not even the ground under his paws could hear hiim clearly.

Destiny glared down at him for a moment.But she could not do this any longer.The look on her orbs changed to love.It was almost time for her to go.She padded around to face Lakota."i will never understand what you and Alaskansong had.But I know I still love you.And like I said I always will.No matter what.Like I said earlier.You do whats best fro the one you love.No matter what the consequences are for yourself.I did not have to let Alaskaonsong come back to Grey Mist all those moons ago Lakota.But I did.You know why?Because she made you happy.I'm not blind Lakota.I could see the love in your eyes.I can accept that you chose her over me."She paused touching her nose to his."Your pups will know of the great wolf there father was.But.I will make sure what they know the better side of things.When they are old enough you may tell them the rest.if you wish too."She could feel the real world pulling at her now.Just give me a few moments longer.She pleaded.

Lakota looked up. "Tell them what you wish, Destiny... But I don't believe I deserve an honorable memory... I almost killed Alaskansong in my rabid state..." He shook himself, trying to rid himself of the memory... the memory of the rabid voice screaming for him to bite into her neck. But he hadn't. He had thrown himself off a cliff rather than kill...
"But I'll miss you, Destiny." He padded foward and touched noses with hers. "And if you tell the pups about me... tell them that I love them." The white wolf lowered his head. "And tell Sirius that he will be a good leader when the time comes." He bowed his head to his old Alphess. "Goodbye..."

Destiny smiled."I will."Lakotas form began to fade.But before he was completely gone.She spoke three final words."I.Love.You."Then the mist faded.Lakota,her love,faded.It was all gone.She had not been to Golden Mist.She had been to the realm between lfe and death.But Siveria Nightshade had restored her.Except for her heart.When she woke.She would have to gather her pack.
Her form began to stir.

Sirius raised his head. Destiny was waking. He'd stayed close, laying near but not too close, incase Destiny panicked when she woke up. He knew Sedaka was probably nearby, also watching. Sirius was worried. His ears pricked forward, sterling pools watching the stirring ivory alphess.

Her orbs opened slowly.Flickering in the light.Dawn would be hear soon.The pack would be leaving.But.How they would get to there new home.She was unsure.Perhaps a loner would be of assistance."Sirius.Gather the pack.I need to make an announcment."She murmered quietly.

Sirius nodded. Padding a little ways away from Destiny, Sirius turned his muzzle skyward and let out a deep howl to summon the GreyMist wolves. Everyone, hunters, elders, den mothers, neophytes and pups. He knew Destiny wanted to get moving. Sirius let his cry die after a few moments and stood waiting.
Silver and Bluefrost padded over to sit nearer to their alphess, uneasy but still a bit excited.

It took a while but Skysong and Kunai finally made it back to the meeting without being knowest. "Thanks Skysong, that was a nice place that I would like to go back to as soon as we come back from leaving," Kunai thanked her. Sky was a really good friend and he was glad that he was going to go with Star. Speaking of Star. The scent was familiar. He found star at the same place where she was last time. "I'm sorry Skysong but I can't meet Sirius today maybe while we are leaving I could meet him, Star might be wondering where I was," The Abandoned wolf pup explained to her. Kunai rushed to Star and sat next to her like nothing happen. "Hi Star!" [/center] |

Skysong streaked back to her mother's side, slipping over to sit beside Sothis. She acted as if she hadn't missed a thing though she was suprised to see her father summoning the pack and not Destiny. Straining to see, Sky found out why. Destiny was laying in a heap of ivory fur near Sirius.

Aliya padded over with Sothis.
Akaira was carried over with New Moon.
Kiari sat quietly at Svel's paws.
Melody padded calmly over.
Destiny rose to her paws.To stand befor eher pack.

Sirius stepped back to sit not far behind Destiny. She looked weak and he wondered if travel really was a wise idea at the moment. Sirius knew however, that Destiny was stubborn. She was stubborn about him leading the pack, and about leaving. Sirius knew he couldn't change her mind and decided not to try, just to be there when she needed him.

Destiny took a deep bretah before speaking."As you may know.Lakota is dead."The words were emotionless.As she had to say him that wasy to keep from breaking down."Which makes Sirius my new beta."Destiny gave a flick of her tail to Sirius.
