A white wolf trotted slowly next to the stream. His eyes kept watch for fish as he walked along. There was a sound in the trees and the wolf jumped. Just a bird... He shook his head and continued on. He caught sight of a silver fin coming out, and back into the water. Quickly, he swiped a paw into the water and out flew a fish. It's scales glittered silver in the moonlight. Then again, thinking about it... I'm not that hungry... The wolf used a paw to push the fish back into the stream.

Owen growled a challenge from the undergrowth, slinking towards the intruder from the shadows. "What's your name? You're not from the packs....and this is Sheeran turf. State your business!" He padded right up to the wolf, fur bristling out to make him look larger than he really was. He'd been practicing his patrolling skills for a while now.

"The name's Kakashi." He took a step back to examine the wolf before him. "I am here looking for a pack. Who are you?" He started wondering if the wolf was going to attack. If he does, I could probably take him down. Then again, I'm not really in the mood to fight. Ah well.

Owen let his fur settle a little, and regarded the other wolf with a curious gaze. He seems okay, I guess...I could see what Mist thinks... "I'm Owen...of the Sheerans, obviously. I suppose I could take you to see the alphess..." It was weird referring to his mom as "the alphess", but he was getting a little more used to it now.

"Very well. You can lead the way." Kakashi noticed the wolf's curious gaze and smiled. "It's okay, no need to worry. I won't attack you or anything. That is, as long as you don't attack me." He chuckled.

"Pah! I'm not worried about you attacking me. If you did, I'd flay you!" Owen laughed, rolling his eyes slightly. "Alright, follow me!" He dashed away into the snowy undergrowth at an alarming speed. He wanted to see if this newbie could keep up with a pack wolf. Maybe they would train together? Hm. Who knows? How old is that wolf, anyway?

Kakashi sighed. He waited for Owen to go a little further before he started running. He as just as fast as Owen, but he wasn't really trying. If this wolf is trying to test me, he has another thing coming. He put his energy into his legs and ran right up to Owen. "Don't even try, young one," he huffed. "I've been through really good training. I'm probably stronger and faster than you'll ever be." His words sounded friendly and he wanted them to be, too.

"I wouldn't be so sure! I'm only a neophyte, and I've been training for only a moon and a half. When I get older, I'll probably be stronger than you! My mom's the leader, AND you've yet to meet any warriors of my pack! They could flay you in a second!" Owen retorted icily. "Besides, I'm not REALLY trying!"

Kakashi sighed. "All you young ones trying to catch up with us. You guys try so hard. Sometimes in the end, you guys don't get anything accomplished. Just wasting your time." He shook his head, but smiled. "Well, I really do hope you catch up. Remember this, if you don't give up and keep your promises, you'll always succeed."

"Yeah, yeah. I already have a mother, thanks." Owen groaned. This wolf got on his nerves... He shook his head, remembering Mist would decide what to do about him.
(Flay is a way of cooking fish XD i.e. Fish FILET. && We should probably start a thread in Mist's den)
