Sharp dagger-like hooves tossed wildly in the air, piercing the earth as they land violently on the ivory earth floor. The large stag tossed his horned skull in the air, snorting and bleating loudly. Three wolves surrounded the buck, one of them was me, Dakota River. I leaped onto the stags back and gripped hold of his neck, thrashing my head back and forth, my ivory fangs sunk deep into muscle and tissue. The other two snapped at his long flailing pillars and drug him down to the cold floor. A loud bleat rang in my ears, causing me she grip even harder. The other wolves I had meet wandering, and we were all hungry. This fat buck would be able to fill us up. He pawed at the snow, still weakly kicking and grunting. The gray wolf walked up and grabbed the bucks throat, quickly making it silent. All we could hear was a soft wheeze, then nothing. I let go of his neck and jumped off his back. After I had gotten my fill, and the other two still ate, I walked off without a word, just glad I was full. I picked up my padded feet and started to run off some of the food, I was a little to full. The deer had been more meat than fat actually. My ebony shag rippled in the string passing winter winds, my bronze optics taking in the land before me.

Lily stopped, panting with exertion. If wolves had sweat glands, her sides would be wet. The she she-wolf raised her ears forwards, listening to the sounds. She preferred the open space, it meant she could run away if more than one wolf came up to her. Lily was aware of the thud, thud of paws on the ground. She looked around, to her right came a running wolf. The fae hunched her body close to the ground, aware the male could do her harm. At least it was only one, if not she would have already ran off.

My tounge hung out the side of my open jaws. Optics flicked around and I caught the sight of another wolf. I slid to a stop, pushing snow to the side. My ebony coat gleemed with the full, heathly look. Knowing just by the scent, the other wolf was a fea, as I was. My auds flicked forward and I shook off the loose ivory snow that rested on my dark coat. i walked toward her in long strides with a sly grin.

Lily didn't like the grin, she ran a few steps to the side. Keeping her slim body hunched, she faced the wolf again, obviously agitated. She was skittish enough on her own. Her head was almost resting upon the frozen flakes of water. Her dark back not really blending into her surroundings. Lily barked nervously.

Dakota stopped as she scuttled away a few steps and laughed a bit at the quiet bark. She perked her auds and barked loudly at her, but then smiled and looked at her. I'm Dakota, who are you? She asked softly, so not to scare her, even thou she would probably jump by the loud bark. She wagged her tail slowly, but still kept it close to the ivory ground.

At the loud bark in return to hers, Lily hunched further, her jaw now pressed against the snow. But she wasn't cowering, a certain tenseness in her legs gave that away. "I'm Lily" came the reply. Speaking with your jaw against snow wasn't such a good idea. Lily swallowed the snow, not liking the cold against her teeth. Though her fur was good insulation and stopped her feeling the cold, eating snow brought the cold into her.

She looked down at her and nodded, Why are you.... uh, standing? like that? She asked slowly, trying to think of what to say. Her optics ran from the wolven to the forest where her meal had been and back.

Lily flicked her ears. Deciding to answer bluntly she said "In case you attack" In a second she could launch herself away and go flying across the snow. Her gaze ran across Dakota, in respect she didn't concentrate on one feature for too long.

She laughed and grinned, Im not gonna attack you, unless your going to. She said with a shrug, her optics slowly made their way to the forest again, she wondered if those fat pigs at the rest of the huge deer.

Lily made a half-smile. "In that case we are both safe" Her stomach growled angrily, and clenched painfully. Thanks to her lifestyle, Lily rarely hunted large prey. It was too dangerous to do often, and living on small food had its disadvantages.

She looked at the small wolven and sighed. Do you like deer? She asked and looked back to where she had eaten. She could still smeal the fresh kill from here, but just a little, she hoped they left some meat.

Lily was quick to catch what Dakota meant. She nodded, raising off the ground by five inches. The white mist that was her breath swirled in a condensing mass.

She smiled and nodded Follow me then. She twirled around and ran toward the forest again, but glanced back to see if she was following.

Lily loved to run, feeling the hard ground beneath her paws and the wind in her fur. The exiliration and adrenaline it brought coursing through her veins. The tension in her legs that had been ready if she decided to run away was now used to run after Dakota.

She turned around a tight corner, hard to find if you wernt firmiliar with the land. She ran down a long path that made a grove in the earth, she slowed and stopped by the corpse. She looked at it and saw there was still plenty of meat, and more than three wolves have eaten some of this.
