The moon was speckled and spotted with the dark silhouettes of gnarled, leafless trees. The air was cold and unforgiving, forming layers of frost on the tips of her silvery sheen.
Mist led the pack through the endless tundra. The night was cloudless, but the stars were doing their best to hide their faces. The blinked and glowed with the dullness of a heavy heart.
The alphess stopped at the edge, noting that no one else was around yet, and let her pack flow into the frost-kissed clearing.
She let out a small stream of coughs, but did her best to conceal them. Of course she failed, but among the Sheerans, coughing had become a normalacy.

A dark mass of wolves stood against the dull light of the stars.
Light padded into the clearing, a small amount of warriors flowing in after him. A good many of his pack were at camp, sick.
Holly, stiffling a cough, followed Light.

Sirius padded into the Twilight Clearing, seeing Light and Mist, with their respective packs already in the clearing. His silvery eyes scanned the crowd, darkened and sad. Silver had died not two nights ago and she had been a good friend to him. Sirius sighed and approached the ailing packs. His own pack was feeling the shock of the sickness approaching but oddly, Sirius looked just as strong and healthy as a wolf could look when winter still held his terra. Sad and tired but still healthy.
Gemini sat with the Sheerans, a silvery mist spiralling from her slender icy maw, ghosting away into the night sky as she watched the Destinians approach. (ok guys, heads up i'm not gonna b able to b online most of the night, maybe not at all, srry)

Aimi ran into the clearing. A little happy that she had caught something when she was out alone hunting. "Wow. The days have been going by so slow it seems we haven't had a meeting like this since ever!"
Akane followed his sister. Bright and happy and really curious like all neophytes usually are.
Kakashi looked around the clearing slowly. I wonder what this is all about. So many wolves... Do they only come together once like this? Or do they do it often. He laid down sphinx style, ears pricked and eyes watching every wolf he saw.
Axle stayed back in the shadow. Alone. His father had decided to stay back at camp since he wasn't feeling well. Maybe father is just getting old now. I mean, he has been coughing, right?
Shadow staid in the shadows around the edge of the clearing. She was quiet as usual. Her eyes were soft as she watched as more wolves enter the clearing. She was always so quiet, she wondered how many of her pack even paid her much attention.
Grug staggered into the clearing. He wasn't tired. He was oddly happy after everything else that had been going on. He tried to hide his smile, but it didn't work. First gathering as a proxy! He coughed a few times, then finally decided to sit down and laugh at himself.
Zuni padded after his brother more slowly. What makes him so happy? There's nothing to be happy about anymore. He sighed and reluctantly sat next to Grug. "Just one more pack needs to come."
Chouko ran into the clearing. She was really hyper seeing so many wolves. She had changed a lot since joining a pack. "I wonder what's going to happen. I can't wait."
Mocha looked around the clearing curiously. The many strange scents made her fur stand on end. She took a deep breath and tried to not make eye contact with anyone.

Mist's ears flicked. All the leaders had been prompt. Only Sabela and the Siverians were missing from the meeting. They would wait a bit longer for the other pack to arrive. After all, just because they'd all been rather early didn't mean they should start before the regular time.
Owen weaved in an dout of the wolves, anxious to speak with the neophytes from the other packs.
Freya wandered around aimlessly, depression and sadness apparent in her liquid blue eyes. Her heart felt heavy, weighing down on her shoulders. Annelise was sick, and she refused to rest. Refused to waste even a single swallow of tansy on herself. She was truly dedicated, but the pack needed her in good shape. Freya had been able to convince her friend to stay back, if only to look after the sick wolves. She frowned deeply, worrying about her friend.
Carolina limped among the Destinian's. Her fur was thin and scraggly despite her attempts to wash it. Her eyes were swollen and bloodshot with desperate exhaustion that would remain unquenched. Blood and vomit was crusted along her lips, the signs of the torture she was now encased by.
Robin had remained back as well, promising Tisana to look after the ill and unwell so the healer might attend the meeting.
Sharpie loped into the clearing, eyes lost in pain and confusion. Olive had yet to be found. And the coughing was starting to evolve into terrifying retching fits. He was sure almost every wolf in camp was showing some sort of symptom now.

OCC: Sorry.. I had a date *giggles idiotically*
The swift form of a bulky being raced into the meeting with the speed of a cheetah, as if just a red flash had burst through the trees. The alphess came to a halt near the three other leaders. She bare a wolf smile and a pleasant twinkle in her eyes. She seemed delighted to attend the meeting. Her happiness beamed from her and she shifted her body ever so slightly which rippled the chistled muscles that lie in their place on her chest. She bowed briefly to the leaders and shifted her body into a sitting position, swiftly.
The small form of a wolf stumbled in after Sirius. She seemed to be stumbling over.. nothing. Flat surface lie before her, nothing whatsoever to trip on. Yet here she be tripping over her own four paws. She stumbled to a deserted part of the clearing and sat there almost smashing forward as she halted abrubtly.

Light searched the clearing. Fewer wolves than last time. Many fewer...
His normally bright eyes held a smokiness. He coughed and gagged a bit.
Tessita had stayed behind for her pups, along with most of the nursery. She had grown a bit sickly, but who else would watch them? Instead, Tisana made her wear a mask of leaves so she wouldn't breathe on the pups.
Thunder caught up with his sister. His sickness was slowly progressing toward the state she was in.
Tisana seemed unsickly. Strange, for she had been around the sick for many, many days. Her ribs were showing more than usual, but she hadn't been able to eat or sleep because of the sickness. She settled herself underneath a shady spot where the healers gathered to talk and share remedies. She would tell them of the clementines, of course, and were they could find them. Maybe share the secrets of how to grow them, too.

Kiara and Adrian had stayed behind with the burst of sickness drowning the forest. Kiara staying in a particularly suspicious being, since the beginning of the illness. She now worked day and night nearly never resting. With all the sickness came little to take down large prey, or any prey. Little prey means less eating. She let the sicker wolves eat including Adrian who had just stormed up with a bit of a small cough.

(If anyone uses the word "Femme" anymore, I will laugh at you XD Why? Because we just learned it means "wife" or "bride" in French class haha! )
Nightshade appeared behind Sabela, a small cough spewing from the violet fae's throat. She gave herself a small shake, then went to speak with some of the wolves from the other packs.
Riley had stayed back at camp -- he was particularly sickly, and he wanted to be there when Dashina gave birth. She was due any day now...

Dusty appeared, coughing. He took a ragged breath.
Svend and Tavel were not at the meeting, due to very harsh sickness. They were already vomitting blood. Tavel was the worst. Blair, however, wasn't as bad. She only had a cough.
Dorokiba trotted lifelessly between wolves, coughing slightly. She stopped when she saw Owen and walked up to him. "Hey Owen." she said, her normal sing-song voice cracking. Her eyes had lost their bright shine and had become glossy and dull.
(I MISS KIBA!! WAHHH!! XP)

(OMG MUD! I have a random spur of the moment idea...don't worry -- it has nothing to do wtih cats in sombreros LMAO! ((That was BAD)) ANYWAY, Owen is loveless. And I've been itching to have a Leafpool//Crowfeath or Graystripe//Silverstream for like...EVER. So...any wolfies interested? ) Owen looked up, blinking away the tiredness from his eyes. "Hello...how are things for the Yozorans?" he asked, hesitant. He hadn't said a word about Mist, his mother, being sick yet, but it wasn't hard to see the silvery, slender fae was struggling to stifle her coughs.

(so we've been calling our wolves ugly? XP Oh, and Siv, KIBA!! KIIIIBBBBAAA! Seriously, I've been thinking of Owen/Kiba. XP There's a guy at my school named Owen... hm.. ) Kiba smiled, trying not to show her sickness. Kiba shrugged. "Everyone's sick. Well, except a few. Tisana's been doing the best she can. She seems to think clementines are miracle fruits." She rolled her eyes. "She won't even let the sickest wolves out of her sight. She's losing sleep, and starving herself. I'm really worried."

Owen frowned. The sickness wasn't too devastating in the camp yet. Mist and a few pups were sick, and Ember had it pretty bad, but otherwise there was just a mild cough. "Well I'm sure the herbs will work their magic soon enough," Owen woofed comfortingly. He wasn't sure why he felt so attached to Kiba, but he shooed the thoughts away as mere compassion and understanding.
