Sharpie sighed, a new dagger of pain cutting through him at the mention of Olive.
Owen exhaled, turning to face Kiba in the brush. "Yes?"
Mist nodded to Light, concern still painfully apparent.

Light nodded to Mist, afraid to say more in fear of his voice cracking.
Kiba sighed. "You know. What was with you back there? Why leaving so soon?"

"Because I have better things to do than listen to your whining! Everyone's having a hard time, and everyone's hurting. Try being a little less self-centered!" He snapped, not looking at her as he spoke. He continued on his path, alone.
( There ya go, Mud. Classic Tab/Kat behavior XD )
Mist stepped forward, coughing a bit. "Flower is now the mother of six healthy pups. We've also wlecomed Ebony as a senior to our pack and Reige as a neophyte. And..." she hesitated. "Azari passed away after the last gathering. He died with honor...and he did it in my name. There was a plot to kill me....and he took the blow. No words can describe how much I miss that wolf, and how great of a beta, a wolf, a friend, he was to us all." She paused, a moment of silence.

Arroyo limped into the clearing, Toboe padding alongside him. Turning his head to one side, Arroyo let out a sickening cough that shook his entire frame.
"Are you alright?" Toboe asked worriedly. "Here, you could lean on me--"
"I may be a senior, but I'm not helpless," Arroyo interjected, hazed eyes narrowing at the newer warrior.
The male dipped his head. "Sorry, sir... it was not my place." Toboe parted with the ill wolf to join his brother.
Arroyo sat quite a ways from everyone else, glancing toward the spot reserved for Betas-- where he had usually settled himself. But not anymore... not anymore.
Bain prowled forward, eyes flashing in sinister mischief. He was daring anyone to challenge him... as usual. He eyed Kiba and Owen out of the corner of his eye.

Sirius sighed softly. He'd known the aging Sheeran beta, talked to him a few times during the journey to the new packlands. He had seemed like a good wolf, rough around the edges but who wasn't? Sirius looked around at all the ill wolves, eyes concerned for wolves even outside of his pack. Things were getting out of hand. The other leaders all showed signs of sickness but...Sirius didn't. It was odd but maybe the illness was just waiting to take him down.
Ebony sat near the edge of the clearing, misting golden eyes warily watching the faded, blurred forms of the wolves around him, using his sense of smell to tell him who was who more then visual aide.

"Sickness has tainted my pack, also. So far there have been no casualties, and we pray to Twilight it will remain so, but we have some rather severe cases. I have thought this over, and decided the herb healers should have a meeting...and soon. However, we also need to be sure there is someone in each camp who can care for the sick while the healers meet. How does this sound to the rest of you?" She asked the other leaders.

Sirius shifted, thinking over Mist's proposal. The herb healers needed to gather so they could help the packs but...would the neophyte be able to care for the ill pack? Sedaka was growing older....Sirius looked out at the Destinians. "Is Sedaka here?" Sirius called.

The aging wolf stepped out from the crowd, loping over to join Sirius and Mist. Nodding a respectful greeting, Sedaka settled himself beside his leader. "You called?" he woofed tiredly.
Euphrates eyed his surroundings warily, unsure of who to talk to or who to follow. Moons had passed since he had joined the pack... but he still knew few. Looking down at his disabled brother, Sumer, he could only hope that Sumer did not share the same fate of loneliness that he had endured so far.

"Sedaka, do you think the wolves that have fallen ill in our pack would be able to spare you for a night for a healer meeting? Is there some wolf you could teach to treat their aches and sore throats, just simple things?" Sirius wanted to make sure that sending Sedaka away for the meeting wouldn't endanger the wolves in his pack. If they would be able to hold over until he returned, then Sirius would agree to Mist's plan. If not, then he would have to consider an alternative.

Kiba huffed. "Oh, please. Me? Self-centered?" She ran after Owen, placing herself infront of him. "You're the one flirting with me at a Moonless Meeting! And I'm the self-centered one? Sure."

Sabela's attempt to look happy was finally broken down. Though she had tried hard to cheer others up, though she had been tearing down in the inside. Her eyes flashed with the worry that had begun to tear her down. Her tail flashed anxiously. Anxiety couldn't tear her down but it would be hard to stand up. She stood and shook her bulky frame and listened to each leader.

Light looked at Sabela, concern. He gave her a reassuring look. He managed to give her smile, too.

Sedaka stared forward, thinking hard. "Well, I agree that there should be a meeting... although it would be better for the wolves to have healers around, I suppose your right." He glanced up at Sirius. "I'll need a willing-- and healthy-- wolf to care for the others, though."

Sirius nodded in agreement with the elderly herb healer. He looked out at the other wolves that had followed him from the camp clearing. "When we return to camp you can go among the healthy and look for someone willing to learn" Sirius decided finally. "Unless there is someone here that is willing." Sirius scanned the group of Destinians, noting how Skysong seemed to have fallen prey to the sickness. His heart tightened uncomfortably and a slight frown curled his ebony maw.

A reddish wolf stepped forward and bowed to Sirius. She began to speak. "I believe Crescent's pups will need to be made neophytes immediately, they have come to that age.." she said with a smile. "One of them may be willing to learn, maybe Jamilia?" she suggested.
Sabela nodded to Light and returned with a weak smile. She then glanced at the wolf that spoke to Sirius.
