Atem followed after Sandra, muscles rippling under his ebony peltage. The moonlight draped across his fur hinted silver in his fur. His liquid topaz eyes seemed to burn through the darkness of the night like flames. Paws beat in a steady rythem as the pair moved, perfect oppisates. Sandra was pure white, blending not only with the landscape but with the moonlight while Atem looked like a peice of the night sky that had fallen to earth. Soon the pair of hunters approached the herd, the cold winter wind blowing their scents away from the herd. Atem stopped, eyes scanning the mass of elk, searching for a weakened one, old or injured.

It's sad how you try and Try Her bright ivory coat rippled in the strong wind as it quickly passed by. She stopped, tearing holes in the soft snow. The large herd stood quietly grazing and bustling around. Her optics flicked round, she found two that looked easy, but shecould find a bigger one. She saw that the herd stayed tight, exept for one fat cow over to her left. Her audits flicked forward and she looked at Atem. See that one over there? She asked quietly, looking towards the cow again. It had been a long time sence she had an elk, but she could still take one down. The cow looked like she was sick, her head was close to the ground and when she walked it was more of a limp. But I still find it funny how you come Back

Atem pricked his auds as Sandra spoke. His peircing topaz orbs filtered through the herd. Finally his gaze rested upon the same cow as the one Sandra had found. It was sickly and looked injured, the perfect victim for winter-hungry wolves. Atem nodded and started to move. He made his way toward the injured beast, keeping a good distance, enough for the herd to not be restless and at times, not smell him. When he was close enough to the animal, Atem started running. His stride was powerful and strong, paws carrying him swiftly over the moonlit snow toward the prey. He looked like a shadow that had come to life and started moving on its own. The herd scattered and started running as well, their hooves thundering and kicking up snow. Atem ran beside the injured elk, snapping at its hunches and hooves, driving it around toward Sandra, carefully detaching it from the herd and egging it on with snarls and snaps.

It's sad how you try and Try She grinned and layed down in teh snow quietly as he trotted away. The herd started to run away quickly and she got ready to run if she needed to. Her audits perked and she heard Atem snarling and snapping at the cow, and they were quickly in sight. She jumped up from the snow, startling the cow and making her rear back as much as she could. Sandra growled and snapped at her as she landed and tried to run toward the herd. Sandra jumped up and scratched at hide, trying to atleast push her down. The herd disapeared in the thick brush and white forest. But I still find it funny how you come Back

Atem saw the cow trying to go back to the safety of the herd and snarled. The brute leapt up, slamming into the cow. His fangs locked onto the neck and sank into the thick hide and hair. The cow let out a low bellowing cry and swung its head, half rearing. Atem grunted as he was thrown free of the cow but managed to land mostly on his paws, his hind legs sliding in the snow. He managed to keep himself up however, as the cow tumbled down, off balance, its neck bleeding. Atem let out a soft growl of satisfaction as he moved forward warily, the cow still kicking out with her sharp hooves now and then.

It's sad how you try and Try Sandra slid to a stop as he cow stumbled and fell. She watched out for the flying hooves and growled at her as she lifted her head and snorted. Sandra gripped the cows neck tight in her jaws and pulled away to get the animal to stop squirming. But I still find it funny how you come Back

Atem loped over to Sandra and their fallen prize. "You brought it down, you eat first." Atem sat back on his hunches and looked up at the stars, content to wait until Sandra had finished her share of the kill. She had been quite a help, as Atem had supposed. Two wolves hunting this kind of game was definately better then one though to be safe, four wolves were better for hunting male elk. A cow was easy prey, especially one like this. Scanning the sky, a small smile could be seen on the brute's maw as his eyes landed upon the consellation of an elk or deer in the sky. Ah so their hunt had been seen ahead of time? Interesting.

It's sad how you try and Try She looked at him as she was told that she had brought it down. No I didn't help much at all, you'r the one that actually got her down. I couldn't even jump up into her back. She explained in a soft voice. Her audits flicked forward and she tore into the body, her fangs sinking into the hind quarter muscle. She finshed her meal after a couple of minutes and licked off her bloody chops, then nudged Atem and smiled, Go at it. She said with a smirk. But I still find it funny how you come Back

Rising to his paws, Atem approached the downed kill and snapped up a mouthful of meat, savoring the flavor. It had been a long time since he'd gotten a chance to hunt elk, though it was one of his favorite kills. After a short while the brute finished his meal and raised his head, licking blood from his jaws. Turning toward Sandra, Atem inclined his head to the femme. "It's been good hunting considering its winter" he remarked, seating himself once more on the ivory snow. "Either someone is being kind this time of year or the elk are more plentiful here then the old lands."

It's sad how you try and Try She sat down in the snow, looking at all the tracks the elk left behind, then she heard Atem speak. She shrugged and licked her jaws again. Her chocolate optics flicked around the ivory land. She layed down in the snow and rolled around on her back, then got back to her paws and shook off the loose snow. But I still find it funny how you come Back
