Mist led her warriors calmly into the Yozoran clearing, her posture tall and regal. Behind her were the seven warriors she's selected for the patrol. She continued to the center of the camp without meeting anyone's eye contact. "LIGHT!" she howled. "I am here and awaiting your brilliant explanation as to why my neice and brave warrior was murdered on your terra!" She demanded, voice icy and revealing the corner of a hidden threat.
Owen's paws shuffled uneasily. Will I really have to fight Kiba's packmates and family?!

Kiba was standing shakily in the middle of the clearing.
"...That you are now an official Lupus Proeliator of Yozoran Pack."
Kiba whipped around. Okashii was by her side. Light lept from the rock. "Excuse me, Mist, but I had no knowledge of this happening."
Babe yipped. "MOOSE-DUNG!"

Mist's tail lashed, and she unleashed the full power of her menacing glare on Light. "Oh, really?! How about your neophyte, Okashii, I think her name was? I suppose sh neglected to tell you she killed a Sheeran warrior?!" Mist snarled. She motioned slyly to Babe with her tail, signaling that he should retrieve more warriors from the camp and bring them to the scene.
"No, Light, I'm afraid I can't stand for this. I thought you would've been a little nobler, seeing as you were a wolf of prophecy, and beta for such a long time. And yet, in your old age, you're still an ignorant pup, who holds grudges for things that happened long ago. All of this because we cut you short at the first gatheirng? You disgust me, Light." She spat his name.

Okashii glanced around. Light held a shocked look on his face.
The small fae padded foreward to stand infront of Mist. "I didn't kill Laika. It was that cat. She reeked of Blood Mist. She tore a hole in Crow. She. Killed. My. DENMATE!" Okashii stood only inches from Mist's face.
Babe slunk into the woods.

Mist spat crossly. "Light, I apologize. Apparently it's the deranged neophyte here that's the problem. There was no Blood Mist scent at the scene!" Mist spoke, rather bewildered. "And besides, the last of Blood Mist died with the wolf you took in, Sylvana." Mist began to circle around Okashii. "And who's to say you aren't the one who injured your packmate? After all..." she added, "the sickness is said to make wolves mad in the head....and attack wolves they hold dear to them. It also makes wolves somewhat dillusional...."

Light growled irritably, coming to stand between Okashii and Mist. "BACK OFF MY NEOPHYTE! SHE'S DONE NOTHING TO YOU!"
"Who's being senselessly violent now?" Light muttered.
Kiba nodded. "Mist, we've done nothing to you. Okashii would never hurt Laika. Ask Crow. I..." she glanced at Owen. "I don't want to fight you."

"NOTHING?!" Mist howled. "My NEICE is DEAD on YOUR TERRA, and you tell me you've done NOTHING?!" Mist was exasperated. "Bullshit! How ignorant and arrogant can one pack be?! As for "backing off", Okashii here seems to lack respect. She loses her tail, it's her own damn fault!" She silently flicked her tail, the signal for all of her warriors to come forward in a line, but not yet attack. "You've got about five seconds before I shred you. Is that your final take, Light, or are you going to start to be more sensible?!" Mist snapped, claws at the ready.
Hopefully Babe gets back soon...
Owen, despite the circumstances, was furious. His eyes were set on Okashii, flames marked there. Kiba, I love you, but Okashii went too damn far.

Light scoffed. "For Twilight's sake, Mist, let it go. There is clearly a killer out there. That cat killed Saskia, too."
Okashii nodded. "Mmhmm. You want the truth? Me and Laika went to find Crow. Once we got to the place Saskia was killed, it was too late. She was there. Laika knew her, and was about to tell me her name but..." Her eyes clouded over. "The wolf pushed her off the cliff. Why would I lie about that?"
Kiba pressed her side against Okashii's. "We know you're not lying." Her eyes burned into Owen.
A line of Yozorans formed.

"That doesn't explain the lack of scent," Mist added. She glared at Kiba with venemous eyes. "Light, you know I'm not unreasonable," she sighed. "But this is too much. You honestly expect me to believe such a tall tale while my neice is dead, and there is no scent as you suggest? And if it is a Blood Mist denizen that killed Saskia, wouldn't you, of all wolves, notice?" She barked to Light, referring to his history with Blood Mist. "I refuse to just let my neice die without justic, Light. I think if you were in my paws, you'd be doing the exact same thing."

Harley dug her claws into the ground. "She's out there. She did it. I hear her."

"How would I know? I am not here on the unfortunate account of Saskia, but I can tell you for a fact Okashii was there before the body of Laika." Mist replaied cooly.
Rye and Winnie relaxed a bit, but were sill tense. Hopefully things won't get heated up again...
Owen, too, was no longer as tense, though he still glared resentfully at Okashii. Hasn't she the slightest bit of sense? There's a difference between making your point and just being plainly rude! You don't just march up to an alpha and stick your fat nose in their face!

Harley sent a seething glance toward Owen, but said nothing. Instead, her claws dug deeper into the ground. "Light, she's out there. We shouldn't be wasting our time like this. We should be looking for her."
Light ignored Harley's pleas. "Okashii was with her when she was killed, she just said that. Okashii would never lie. She has the honesty of her father and the compassion of her mother. She wouldn't harm a flea, I give you my word."

"Your word is all I have, Light." Mist sighed. "But you don't seem to have any better ideas. Laika wouldn't be running off with a Yozoran, and certainly not a neophyte unless she had a very good reason. You said that she wanted to find Crow, right? Well, what was so important about finding Crow?" She inquired, seeming to have a mild interest. "Cassie, please inform Babe that the extra warriors will not be needed. There will be no fighting tonight," she told her packmate.

Light ground his teeth together but said nothing. Cassie nodded. "Yes, Mist." She hurried off into the woods after the little wolf who had probably not gotten far anyway.
Harley was groing nervous. "LIGHT!" She whispered harshly. "Any day now."
