Oh, no, Sirius. Twilight is far from this place. Silence glanced at him. And Sothis comes because if he did not, he could not live with knowing he had the knowledge to save his lover, but instead, she dies a little more each moment. Her ears flicked towards the live realm. Someone else is nearing...

(.......I'm sleepy.......*dozing off*..........)
All that he could see-- all that he was focused on-- was the white blur ahead of him. Why am I chasing this rabbit? he wondered occasionally throughout this race. Just do it. He knew he must follow it... at least, he was pretty sure. The rabbit seemed important-- yet, no matter how fast he ran, the rabbit remained a few leaps ahead. Come on, come on... closer, closer... His limp forgotten and memory still wiped, he closed on his prize-- only to recieve a whirl of scents rushing into his face and nostrils. The scents, he realized, of other wolves. He froze on the spot. "What the--?" Coal woofed, stumbling to a stop next to the others. He blinked slowly, looking from one wolf to another and trying to remember what he was doing and where he had been. ".....?" He instantly shut up, memory catching up with him.

'Coal , there you are!' thought Asha. Her black tail waving, 'Where'dja go?' she asked.

Silence sighed, the first audible noise she had made during the entire time. Silence, we've stalled her! What, how?! She perked up, ears tilted towards a flashing in the Spirit Wood. She was caught in a rockfall -- stuck at the Crown Of Lupus. The rain is getting worse, too. She's stuck there for at least twenty minutes. Twenty minutes...that's brilliant, Ember, thank you.For a moment, she looked up at the gray, colorless sky above them. We don't get weather in no man's land, she told the others. Now only one remains to arrive...

Anelie blinked emphathetically; a wolf with that bad of a memory swipe doesn't go without fame. The neophytes of the Siverians had spoken about the mad killer, Ivory, and the memory lost of her victim. She smiled gently to him, as though he was a pup.

"Huh?" Coal glanced up toward Asha, as if he hadn't been listening. Then, slowly, his ears went back and he looked at his paws. "Oh... yeah-- just... caught up in the moment, I guess... He shuffled his paws, aware of how distracted he seemed-- like a young pup. Apparently, his head was still recovering from the trauma of the bear attack... and he hated himself for it. Not that he knew of the bear attack of course-- not one ounce of memory had been saved. All he could remember was what was happening now.

Tisana gulped air. Ready and set, Silence, dear.
Ready, set, go! It's time to run. The sky is crashing, we are one. We're gonna make it while the world is crashing down.

It's time Silence! I can feel it!! Anelie's throat caught, her heart stopped and her feet felt anxious. She knew if they waited longer the world would crash upon them...

Artem felt his heart quicken, and his feet tremble. This surely will be a night to remember the brute thought. He was ready.

Sirius's heart stuttered then picked up double-time. Something big was happening and he knew he had never felt so unsure. His limbs trembled but the stubborn alpha locked his limbs and glared ahead, waiting for what would happen. Sirius had always been an in-the-moment wolf but sometimes in-the-moment was the last place he wanted to be. That was exactly what it was now. He wanted to be miles away from wherever the heck he was and back in his camp with his mate and his family. Far from here but Sirius would never admit fear. Raising his head a little, Sirius waited, his heart hammering and betraying his unease and fear.

Sothis.... she thought, willing him to hear what she was about to explain. ...come as quick as you can. Your lover, the forest, the existence of packs weighs all on this one moment, and the hope that you arrive before my foe does. Turning back to the wolves, she began with mindspeak, My name is Mira, and I am the alphess of the fallen Miran Pack. We resided in the mountains, in the time of your four ancient packs, Blood Mist, Shimmering Mist, Storm Mist, and Night Mist. We were exiled very early into our lives as packwolves, so we were naturally written out of your history. In the mountains, we lived for long. The first leaders of the packs were immortal unless struck down in battle, which is why I am still alive before you. However, the reason you are here began many many decades after all of this. my wolves came back from their hunting expeditions, always wounded or missing warriors, coughing and sickness rampant and vicious. The sickness was unlike anything we'd ever seen, and it was quickly determined that it had come from the tyrants in the Spirit Wood. But the dead could not deliver it by themselves, so they employed the wolf who is tracking us now. She led a terrible pack, known to the mountain wolves as the Crimson Mist. Crimson Mist were slayers and demons, and we were soon engaged in a bloody war. Between the war and sickness, all of both packs were wiped out. All but five of the Mirans, and one of the Crimson Mist, that is. I sent my four warriors away into the packlands, for they hadn't been highly infected with the plauge yet. They were lucky to escape it, and for a long time, I roamed the mountains alone, searching for the leader of the Crimson Mist. I was settled that if I found her, the dark side of the Spirit Wood wouldn't be able to send the sickness out once again unless they had another messenger. A new messenger for a pack that is hidden from history is hard to find... We battled, but nothing came of it. We were both on our last lives, immune to the sickness, but so intent on our goals that we'd been the reason for each other's near-mortality. I travelled the lands, delirious, maybe even insane. That is when I stumbled upon the place we are standing now...the border of the Spirit Wood. I entered the woods, delighted that my old packmates were well and resting paradise. It was then I made the small, but titanic flaw of overstaying my welcome. It got dark, and I grew weary, and I fell asleep in the trees of the dead realm. I was taken as a messenger for the Light, since through sleep is the ceremony of making a messenger. I was given a prophecy, and strict instructions to follow if I was to ever stop the spread of the plauge. And most vitally, I was given a vow of silence only to break when the nine wolves in the prophecy are assembled. So here I am, and here we wait.

Anelie took in each word, silently comprehending them. After several moments she nodded slowly. Thats why you haven't spoken... she repeated back to Silence. You can't until Sothis arrives... she confided.

Tisana was near hysteria. She sighed heavily. Oh, that's just SPLENDID! What are we suposed to do!? Wait until this immortal demon wolf thing comes and kills us all!?

Silence snorted with exasperation. You could've killed before she ran off and started tormenting my pack, ya know! Then none of this would've happened. No. What's going to happen is as soon as Sothis gets here, I'll explain what has to be done, you get your asses in there, you get out, and you do it fast. But not until Sothis is here, or you might as well all go jump off a cliff! I'll take care of our eager little killer, all right? Just cool down or this will never work.
