The greenery crumpled and flattened under her flying paws, straightening out again as she made a swift departure from her last pawsteps. She wove steadily in and out of the gaps between the trees, eyes always narrowed and forward, ears twitching at the slightest crackle in the undergrowth. She'd considered using the Twilight Clearing, but that would simply not do. In the event of the sounding of her call, her foe would surely wind her way to the clearing, easy as catching a rabbit. No....she would head on, and go straight to the birth of all torment.
The Spirit Wood.
Long ago, Mira remembered the honored place. She had once led the pack, the Miran Pack, that rested there once they departed. Ravaged by sickness, only four other wolves besides herself had survived. She'd sent them forth, each to live in one of the other four packs. Mira herself had walked alone, in silence, through the mountains. The spirits of her fallen comrades at her side...begging her forward.
The wood had been mystical, shining with shafts of a forgotten sunrise and alive with life even in death. And it had invited her in, wrapped her up in it's magnificent arms, and--
No. That was it. It had swallowed her howl and cursed her terribly. For not only did the spirits pure and noble remain in the Spirit Wood, the tyrants and murderers did as well.
So the black blur raced on, paws winding a rocky, rugged path that was beaten down yet never once taken. The grasses were tall here, and she could at least be thankful for the brief stints of camoflauge she had.
Please tell me she does not know I'm going here...please tell me she doesn't know I'm on the move!
She pulled to an abrupt stop just before the grasses ended, swallowing hard. She knew she would see it again....she knew she would look upon it with awe and wonder why she'd ever left....
She took a step out of the forest that belonged to the wolves, and stepped into the Border Clearing. The place between life and death. A dangerouse place.
It really wasn't a clearing, or at least that name didn't do it justice. In reality the Border was just that;; an endless line of beaten grass between the living forest, and the supernatural one that few ever found. Pacing down the line, Mira's eyes were locked unblinkingly on the lights and hissings flashing and lfickering through the woods. She could see the shapes of the wolves, calling out, some running away, and others fleeing to the other side....the darker side.
I don't have anymore time....this is it.
Tilting back her head, she took one last glance at her packmates. Her glance locked with one: Sparkling Ember.
She remembered the fae when she was young...and had heard and seen of her roles in the prophecies of the four packs. Ember had been brave in both of her lifetimes...and now it was time to give them all closure.
Silence tilted back her head once more, but did not utter a sound. Instead, she thought each name, pronounced and clear. They would have to find her here, for she didn't have time to go back now.
[glow=silver,2,300]Sirius,[/glow]
The alpha was envisioned in her head, and in her thoughts, she showed him the way she came and how urgent his flight must be.
[glow=silver,2,300]Artem,[/glow]
The loner was next, her silent call crisp and clear as if she had howled it to the skies.
[glow=silver,2,300]Anelie,[/glow]
The young Sheeran neophyte, who she gave the advice to stay hidden, but come quickly.
[glow=silver,2,300]Shadow,[/glow]
She whispered into her own thoughts, pleading with the Yozoran to not pass near the Crown Of Lupus on his way to her.
[glow=silver,2,300]Tisana,[/glow]
To the healer, she simply gave the advice to follow her robin.
[glow=silver,2,300]Coal,[/glow]
She told the Siverian to follow the Winter rabbit trail towards the edge of Siverian terra, from there, swerve off the path and let sense and intuition take over from there.
[glow=silver,2,300]Kunai,[/glow]
Leave through the back so none will see. Go off the pack terra and round about as fast as your legs can carry...
[glow=silver,2,300]Asha,[/glow]
Follow Coal and let no one else know where you're coming,
[glow=silver,2,300]Sothis,[/glow]
To Sothis, she sent an image of the forest, for she knew the Destinian would know what it meant. He'd been suspecting.
With that, Silence watched with anxiety as the robin departed towards the Yozorans.
Pray she hasn't sensed my move.
Pray she isn't running yet.
