Nightshade stood, wobbly on her legs, but she stood tall nonetheless. The camp before her was an utter mess; bodies littered the blood-stained soil, detritus still remained from the rockfall over Sabela's den, and most of all, even the living had given up and slept on the soaked battlefield, awaiting and imminent death. Even Nightshade herself had be layed to rest over what would've been assumed her future gravesite.
The mourning doves were singing, calling out a loud and redundant melody that never faded in time or speed. Always steady. Always there. Always heard.
Her violet optics swept wistfully through the camp, but then softened as she realized she was no longer alone.
Mystic had risen, and was now in search of her mate, Lance.
Annelise, bedraggled and weathered, was dashing from one place to another as fast as her injured legs could limp.
Weed, Kippy, and Stigg were beginning to drag away the rocks from the front of the alpha den.
Arkantos was stumbling to his paws, similarly to Nightshade, and padding over to her for orders.
"Help Stigg, Kippy, and Weed," she barked. "I'm going to see how Sabela's doing then see who's up for a hunting patrol. We're going to need food if we're going to move forward from here. Arkantos nodded, then headed over to the rockpiles.
Dagmar's body was among the many casualties. Nightshade closed her eyes, whispering prayers for the deceased, then turned to find Sabela.
However, a snapping of a twig ceased her movement. She turned towards the entrance, senses alert, and a sudden, uncalled for optimisim swept over her.
{bring in the cure!!!}

(so... Coal just makes everyone eat the daisies? ) Arroyo was sprawled out, half his body in the senior's den and half his body outside. His head in between his paws, the old wolf coughed weakly. His muzzle was now streaked with gray, and he was beginning to feel very frail indeed... And this illness wasn't helping. Lance was in the corner of the clearing, coughing up a spurt of blood and shivering. His stomach was bald, and he felt completely horrible. Moss glanced sympathetically at Lance, and wondered at the back of his mind where Toboe and Coal were. The fae stood and padded over to Nightshade, shaky as she walked. "Coal and Toboe are missing... have you seen them?" she asked her worriedly. The two were good friends of her's-- Coal especially. Suddenly, a blur skidded into camp, panting. It was Coal, a huge, shining white gash across his face and daisies held tightly in his maw. His eyes were bloodshot and he looked as if he were going to faint, but the wolf stayed strong. Digging his paws into the ground, he let out a howl, the sound muffled by the precious andidote in his mouth. "Sabela! Magic! Everyone!!" he cried.

Not three seconds after Coal had burst in did an ivory-bloodstained female burst in with a bundle of fur in her jaws. The female pushed her paws into the ground, attempting to halt, but as the rain had slickened the ground she slid on until she was staring straight up at Nightshade. She looked utterly frightened. "I-" she started, voice muffled through the fur of the neophyte held in her jaws. She put herself backwards so there was room to place the wolf. "I-I- Here is Kar," Ivory finally finished.

Coal was so startled by the sudden appearance of the female that he jumped, dropping the daisies and staring, wide-eyed, at Ivory. She had been the wolf from his visions, from the forest! But... but she was so familiar... "D-don't I k-know you?" he stammered, eyes fixated on the wolf with young Kar.
Kar began to stir, but ever so slightly-- he was still extremely weak.

Almost immediately tears sprang from her eyes. Without thinking, she had sprang towards Coal her heart seemed to evaporate as she slung her head around Coal her muzzle pressing into his shoulder, almost shoving in her wild surge of relief. Relief from the Hell she had lived without him. Relief from which she could finally never leave Coal's warm presense again. "Coal! Oh! I missed you! Oh how my life has been Hell without you! Oh!" her voice was muffled and high-pitched as she pushed her nose through his fur, wishing never to leave his presense again.

Coal stared at Ivory, who had warmly greeted him with a comforting embrace. But, hard as he try... he could not remember who she was, or why she seemed to be lusting over him. He did not respond, just watched Ivory carefully. He still had no memory. "...I'm flattered, miss... but... who are you?" Yet something was oddly familiar about all this... something he could quite put his paw on.

Her form was still her heart hardened and dropped to her feet. Tears did not halt, but there was something different about these tears; they were not overjoyed and relieved.. no they were... anguish, crushed, and hurt. She felt anguished and crushed as she stepped back to look into his eyes. Her eyes were blurry with anguish. "C-coal? I-I d-don't u-understand.." it was true. Did they tell him? Did they tell him the lies of his injuries? "I-I didn't really..." her voiced was obvious anguish, her eyes reflecting the hurt in her eyes. She stared liquidly into his eyes for several long moments. She whipped her head towards Nightshade, her fur hot, her eyes full of venom. "Where. Is. She." she snapped, not more than a moment later did she whip her head towards the moaning alphess.
The bloodied form of Sabela pushed herself to her feet, though blood spilled more fluidly as she did so. "Es-suse mweh.." Sabela's eyes were unfocused, her words scrambled. "Forse whomz mehz you be searchinz forse?" she looked with her unfocused eyes at Ivory.
Ivory's eyes shot through the alphess's form. "You!" she screeched, her tears cracking in her voice.
"Mweh..?" she asked.

Coal furrowed his brow, examining Ivory with his eyes. "Didn't really what?" he woofed, tilting his head to one side. It was like trying to remember what you were going to say, and then forgetting it... and all the while afterward striving to remember what you wanted to say. Even feeling the words on the tip of your tongue-- but never able to say them. He blinked, staring down at his paws where the daisies were. That felt like... like something I've been missing. But what could it be...?

Soon the angry form of Severian stepped into Ivory's view. "Don't defy our alphess! She is in no state for your endless modd swings!" the neophyte spat. "We thank you for returning our neophyte, but we ask you to leave if you must accuse and interrogate the injured, especially our alphess."
Her eyes were fiery and fierce as she rounded on the neophyte and glared down at him with anger, yet a hint of unhidden anguish tinkled across her gaze. "She cannot accuse me of attempted murder of my beloved, tell him I attempted to murder him, and expect me to come back to her terras like a happy little sunshine!" she spat.
He blinked, but his eyes narrowed. "You seemed happier than a happy little sunshine only moments ago!" he sneered up at her, his fur bristling so greatly that it literally stood up.

Moss growled, standing and glaring at Ivory. She was ready to back up the neophyte need-be... As far as she knew-- based on what she had been told-- Ivory was a killer not to be trusted.
Arroyo perked his ears, lifting his head slowly to watch the fued. He blinked his tired eyes but didn't know what he could possibly do. He had been against Ivory's leaving internally, but did not know of another reason for Coal's plight... No, I will not be stuck in the middle of things again... this is no longer my battle. The retired, old Beta rested his head back down.
Coal licked his lips, confused. "Lover?"

Ivory flinched at Coal's word. Her jaw was set with anger, not towards Coal, but towards the whole of the Siverian Pack. She turned her cold gaze to Moss. "Problem?" she asked coldly through gritting teeth. Her eyes hardened with anger as she heard the confused voice of the alphess.
"I- es-suse mwez?" Sabela's confused voice sounded. "I- eh- Nigh'shay? I- er- neez sum ress..." a violent coughing fit broke out from her maw, and she shuddered, tumbling to her den.

Asha looked up as she walked in. Her sides heaved and she looked up , smiling, "There you are Coal," she barked. Dropping the red roots. Asha ran after Sabela and brought her back, feeding her the red roots. She looked to Coal, "Has Sabela gotten any daisies?" she inquired,(big word!).
When she loooked up again she saw Ivory, "Who are you talking to?" she asked. She saw Arryo and Lance and Moss. Running over with the rest of the red roots and daisies, trying her best to spread the cure everywhere.

At Sabela's word, Nightshade nodded and slipped swiftly in between Severian and Ivory. "Ivory, you need to leave. It was you who chose to leave us, and now its your end to your entwinement with the Siverians. We've no time for your moodswings, as was rightfully pointed out, nor do we have time for your little soap opera here!" Nightshade snappe, voice like living ice. "So leave, Ivory. Apparently you're pretty damn good at it." She turned to Magic and Annelise. "We need to spread the cure around as much as possible. Please start."
But Annelise's eyes rested only on her brother, who she rushed to with tears in her eyes. "What happened, brother? Why were you taken?" she pleaded, trembling. She managed to shoot a venemous glare over at Ivory, then returned to her brother's side.
Nightshade turned back to Ivory, eyes emotionless and unfeeling. She'd seen her warriors go through hell, and they'd somehow managed to pull through. She wasn't about to let some random little runaway get in their way.

Kar opened his eyes, breathing oddly as he was awaken by his sister's voice.
Arroyo, upon seeing that his son had been returned, scrambled to a stand and began limping over to his children.
"F-fox... fangs... savior..." Kar whispered shakily. "...M-Mephisto..."
The black wolf froze in his tracks, tail drooping and withers spiking. "...what was that?" he growled, ears perking at Kar's last word. Mephisto... the son of a cat that-- "I'll murder him," he snarled.
Kar looked from his furious father to his concerned sibling. "...she..." He didn't get to finish his sentence about Ivory, for he had passed out once more.
Coal blinked slowly, vexed by the happenings in the camp. "What's everyone so angry about?" He could feel tension racing through the camp like static.
Magic took the daisies in his maw and raced toward Sabela first. "Eat this," he told her softly, giving her a few petals to swallow.

Ivory stared disbelievingly at Nightshade. Was she mental? Did she not remember? Her hatrid grew, her heart burning. "I DID NOT LEAVE!" she barked at the beta. "I WAS ACCUSED OF ATTEMPTED MURDER WHEN IT WAS THAT DAMNED BEAR!!!" she snarled. LEAVE? So they had changed the story for the young'uns? She now... left? "A murder," she continued, her voice icy, "That I did not commit, nor did I attempt." her voice grew cooller as she turned to Coal. She now spoke gentler, her voice hopeful. "Coal, you remember the bear... right?"
