Sekhmet's ears were angled towards Loni, but in truth, she held scant interest in his story. It seemed that he barely cared for it himself. She continued with her meal, tearing ravenously into the rabbit's flesh, blood coating her maw. She licked at the crimson, relishing the taste of the torment she so fondly created whenever she could chance it. Auds flicked once more as he commented on the taste of the creature. She rolled her eyes at this, golden orbs almost amused. She paused from her meal to respond. "Oh, but I suppose tortured is the only taste you know of prey," she snickered. The rabbit slid down her throat easy, a scrumptious, boldly delicious taste to her lips. When she'd travelled with Black Fury's gang of ruffians, the pickings had been slim. Most prey was given to Black Fury and his closer associates. The rest were given the slimmest of pickings. Out here, in the open, free terras, Sekhmet could finally roam as she pleased. She rolled this thought around in her mind, an invisible smile on her lips. Yes, I'm free of that wretch until I desire to join with a group slaughter. My place and loyalty are where my paws tread and whoever has the luxery of capturing my attention before I slaughter them.... She femme finished her meal, licking clean even the bones. Then, she settled down in the nest once more, swiping the remaining blood from her face with her tongue. Orbs turned back to Loni, observing, measuring, searching, perhaps.

The beast gnawed on a small rabbit bone for a few moments; it broke in half much quicker then expected. With a paw he swiped the remains into the corner were he had left the tortured rabbit after capturing it. Long, reddish rose tongue swiped over his muzzle, removing the fresh blood. After this tongue was swiped over his long, stained fangs. "Damn." One paw was brought up to his maw and he clumsily attempted to dislodge the small bone that was stuck next to one of his canine's. The roar of the river was even louder then before and the tumultuous rain was clearly not going to cease any time soon. The slight breeze that made its way through the entrance and into the little cave signaled that the wind had increased quite a bit. "This is why I prefer large creatures, you generally don't get bones stuck between your fangs." There was a grunting sound from his windpipe. Smoldering optics glanced towards Sekhmet once again. The brute paused in his struggles; clearly noticing her optics on himself. If she searched his, from where she was, she'd see nothing more then the same dangerous dark glint that had been there earlier. But if she came any closer, the fae would certainly notice the other emotions that he carried. It wasn't like he hated everyone and everything. There were other, weaker, emotions in him.

Sekhmet snickered at his struggles. "Need a little help, oh, beastly one!" She smirked as she stood, shaking som stray pieces of moss from her pelt, then continuing over to Loni. "This might irritate you, but it will get that out....just a warning..." her tone was light, clearly amused. She lifted a paw, but stopped, appearing startled. For indeed, Sekhmet had come close enough to see flickers of something in his optics she had not at all expected to see. Golden pools locked on his, she studied him for a moment. Perhaps he's not all cold and frigid...perhaps there is something down in there that's halfway decent? Eh, maybe it's a trick of the light... She raised her paw once more, then brought it hard across Loni's face, a nice solid smack. There was a soft clinking sound as a bone hit the stone floor. She took a step back, a little unnerved as she discovered how close they'd gotten. "There," she barked. "Now I might've dislocated your jaw, but at least the bone's out!" She grunted, still amused by the situation.

The beast's optics did, in fact, glimmer with other things. Figure stiffened, so slightly that it likely could not be noticed by any other then himself, when she suddenly seemed startled. It was her own optics, they must have seen those glimmers of emotion in his own. There was an irritated snort and a grunting sound as her paw came in contact with his face. There was a half amused glare given to her. Of course, almost immediately after features split into a crooked smirk like grin. "I've had worse." Reaching out with a paw he swiped the small bone across the floor towards the others. Just barely missing contact with her leg as he drew his paw back to lay in front of him. There proximity was slightly startling, and the fact that she hadn't backed away from him the moment the bone was out only added to his utter surprise. But she fascinated him beyond all belief, and he'd certainly rather she stayed that close instead of being about seven feet away. Tassel was moved and a straw bit of straw was brushed from his glossy, semi-thick canvas. There was a deep rumbling sound, a thunder clap. It was followed a few seconds after by a second, then a third.

Sekhmet rolled her eyes. "And I've hit harder than that." She was still mesmerized by what she'd seen, contemplating the brute's being. He was a slaughterer yes, but what else was he...? There was more to him, of that she was absolutely positive. It amazed her, yes,..but dare she look again? She wasn't so sure. The air tasted awkwards with silence, so she broke it, not wishing to remain in the shades of uneasiness. "So...you said Mephisto was your father, correct? Who was the unfortunate fae to have him harassing her?" She truly did pity the fae who had become too involved with Mephisto. He was perhaps the nastiest thing in existence, even by Sekhmet's standards. She sat, feeling odd just standing there. Her golden gaze was fixed on Loni, noting his every move and expression. She was curious what his undoing would be ;; where the sudden emotions had spurted in his gaze.

The beast seemed to have relaxed considerably. Paws folded over each other in front of him. Tassel swishing calmly to and fro behind him. Auds swiveling to catch little sounds and echos and such in the cave and the surrounding area. The awkwardness that had settled didn't seem to bother him either. And he certainly wasn't grateful with the words she used to break it with. The brute turned his gaze away, it smoldered darkly, hatefully. Daggers scratching at the stone of the floor. "I said he was my father, I didn't say it was through blood." The tone of his voice was low and nasty. The words came out in a quiet snarl. Tassel lashed against the cave wall behind him, a nice way to vent his obvious aggravation. "My blood parents were Destiny, the alphess the Destinian Pack was named for, and one of her many proxies, Grug." There was a low, furious snarl, his upper lip curled. Suddenly the figure twisted and he slashed his daggers across the cave wall. This caused a wretched sound, Screee. There was an aggravated growling and the beast turned his aggravated, tormented, haunted, despicably dark, blood lust filled despising optics back towards her. "Life couldn't have been so kind to me." The tone was sarcastic.

Suprisingly, Sekhmet did not flinch or show any trace of fear to his aggravation. She simply made mental notes for herself, still searching for the softer spot. It was definitly not anything to do with his 'family', for it was clear he hated them with a combusting passion. Her tail twitched slightly in acknowledgement to his phrase. Perhaps something else would work? He is a dark soul, but I know what I saw, so let's bring that back....where did it go...? "Oh, but you should know fair well that life is not at all kind," she sighed. "Though it must've been by some stroke of luck that you've finally learned to have a conversation with a femme without killing or impregnating her," she smirked at this. "So even you are given the smallest break, I suppose."

The beast glared irritatingly at the floor. The nest had been somewhat scattered by his outburst. With a paw he began to shove the moss, grass and leaves back together. Tassel not lashing quite as madly now, but it still whipped back and forth at his rear. Auds were laid back and clearly the subject of 'family' was not one that he wished to speak about. The beast circled the sort of nest, pushing bits and pieces back into it whilst doing so, and seated his figure in its center once again. Tassel brought to rest across his paws, flicking against his front limbs in irritation. One aud swiveled forwards to catch the words that seeped from her maw. There was a crooked, half grin of a smirk on his maw. "Miracles happen, I suppose." There was a deep growling chuckle. Smoldering optics stared at her, into her. Searching, wondering. What was she? A slaughterer, clearly. Nothing more? She seemed like more then that; good slaughterers were almost more then they seemed to be. There was that flicker in his eyes again, darker this time, less noticeable. What could it be? Sorrow? A different type of rage? Disgust? Something else, perhaps? Loni himself didn't even realize it, and wouldn't have understood had he, most likely.

Sekhmet inclined her head slightly as his response, the smile still playing across her features. "Yes, I suppose they do..." She noted him looking at her again, optics seeming to flicker once more, like they had previously. However, she scarely caught it, and it was not enough of a lead to appease her desire to learn the unraveling of this coldhearted brute. "...but not to wolves like us, Loni," she returned to the nest she'd occupied before the interference and meal, circling before getting settled in once more. "Anything that seems a miracle to any other wolf must be double that for the slaughterers, for we are a different breed than the rest of those pathetic whelps. We deserve a hell of a lot more than them, too."

As the fae moved away his amber orangeish optics followed her figure. Watching the divine way she moved, or that's how it looked to him. As she circled he tore his optics away. The beast slid back into a lying position. Paws crossed in front of his figure, crown layed on them. Tassel swishing to and fro behind him, optics trained on the entrance. Perhaps keeping an eye out for any intruders that could actually get inside. There was a single question eating at his mind. It was aggravating him to the point that soon enough he'd probably burst and ask it in the most hideous voice possible. The loud clashes of thunder had increased to the point that there was one every second, sometimes more then that. A flash of yellow lit the small cave as a bolt of lightning struck the stone outside. The beast shifted in his position. The brightness, though it only lasted for a second, danced on his optics and they seemed to glow an impossibly icy shade in the light of it. Maw was once more opened. The words leaked out in a lazy, low growl. "So, Sekhmet, tell me. What are you?"

The question caught her off guard for a moment, and she stiffened, eyes searching his. Her fur remained on end for a few, silent seconds, then, slowly, she regained her composure. her stony gaze smoldered into a softer glance, though she looked away from Loni as she stated her answer, "What am I besides a slayer and one who relishes the sound of slaughter?" She pondered this for a moment, eyes dulling over, seeing something from her past, perhaps, revisiting old memories. "I am a wolf who prefers a fair fight," she murmured after a while. "I'd rather duel it out old style than take down a weakling with a large pack aiding me. I have values, oddly enough. I do not kill for the mere sport of killing, I kill to convey a message. That message would be that those damn packs wolves don't have it bad at all," she snarled at this, gaze growing dark. "No, they whine about how imperfect their poor little lives are, when they can't even shut it up and deal. And so, in return, I give them an option. Through a near death experiance, if any of them survive, they learn, perhaps, what it means to live. None of my...students...have survived their tests. And the world is a better place without them." There was a long silence before she finished, "Among other things, I am...was a sister and a solitary being."

The beast flopped onto his side. The position looked strange, for a slaughterer for himself. If one didn't know better they might think he was deceased. Tassel was still, laying in the nest behind him. Long limbs splayed across the nest. Crown half tilted on the stoney cave floor. Optics wide open, though slightly dull. Perhaps her answer had taken him off guard, but if that was the case the beast certainly denied her the pleasure of knowing this, if such a thing could cause pleasure at all. There was another flash and his optics glimmered that icy shade again. That shade that could cause him to slaughter himself if he ever saw it in his own optics. That damnable color that reminded him so much of his truest rival ever. Not a murderous rival, oh no. Truly the daughter of a devil, the hell-sent creature could only be Destiny's daughter. Stubborn, determined, blood-lusting, slightly insane. The beast refused to think the name, it would cause him to go into a frenzy in which he would not be in control of his actions. "Then your not a fake, your a reality. There are few like you. Most slaughterers have no reason to kill other then the to taste blood, some are to fearful of Hellfire to kill on their own. Your very remarkable, I must say." The beast's maw twitched. He was remembering his relations, the dark ones anyway. New Moon Ronin Fate Lust? Shadow Walker, the dark temptress herself. Among others...

Sekhment measured his words carefully, as if she was dissecting them for a deeper meaning. Seeing as he'd inquired the one thing that she'd also wanted to know about him, she decided that this might be the only chance she would get to recieve an actual answer. "So what about yourself, then, Loni?" She breathed, scarcely believing the words had managed to escpae her mouth. "What are you?"
Isn't he what he appears to be? A vicious killer, a lover of blood, a demonic brute, all of the above? No, no...there is more to Loni than that... But what? I don't know...

The beast's smoldering amber painted optics turned their glare, or perhaps stare, upon the roof of the cave. Auds remained swiveled in her direction so that the spoken words could easily be interpreted, and if a question was asked, it could be swiftly and simply answered. Of course, what she did ask sort of took him off guard. The beast had simply made the assumption that what she thought was what she saw. A blood lusting, vicious, torturing slaughterer. Optics returned to Sekhmet. "I could tell you that I am what you think I am. A slaughterer. Vicious, torturer. Rapist even. I could say that I am nothing more, nor nothing less. Yet, I will not, for you are far to intelligent for me to even attempt to fool you with such a simple and likely irritating answer." The beast rolled onto his back now, a dangerous position to take up, especially when there was a rather dangerous fae not ten feet from him, likely ready to tear his throat out. Tassel swept across the stoney cold floor. Optics staring up at the dark ceiling. "Clearly you have realized that like you I am more, much more. But what do you think? What drives me, causes me to continue along the road that I have taken? Tell me Sekhmet, what do you think I am?"

Sekhmet stared Loni down, eyes no longer slitted, but searching. Not only his eyes, she was taking in the very essence of him as she gazed, pools seeming to melt slightly, like optics of liquified gold. Finally, she snapped from her trance, looking away from him for a while, studying the birthing, refulgent skyline as the sun woke once more. Gradually, she turned back to Loni. "If I knew what you were, Loni, I would speak it. I can have the faint outlines, the vauge ideas, even probably fantasy, but I will never know what threaded you through the needle in such a way unless you yourself tell me." She sighed after a while, eyes no longer wandering, but awaiting his answer.
