Winter, Rye, and Owen had scouraged the territories relentlessly, but prey was scarce. After a long, hot, afternoon hunt, the three had only captured three rabbits, all scrawny and small. At first, Owen had suspected that Black Fury's Gang had scared the creatures into their den, but they had searched every corner of the Sheeran lands, spaces where Black Fury and his ruffians hadn't crossed, and still, nothing. They'd be lucky if every wolf in the pack had something to eat at least once by nightfall.
Why is the prey so scarce? Owen wondered, eyes concerned and frantic. His pups were depending on him, and he couldn't let his family starve. It's Spring, for Sheera's sake! Food should be hopping into our mouths! He vaugely wondered if the Yozorans were having this much trouble.
Rye scented the air, but every scent he tasted was either stale or dead. He sniffed a dead pile of feathers, but the only scent he could deter from the bundle was of death and blood, nothing else. What's happening? I can't even scent sickness on the creatures....and it doesn't look like an animal left it....
Winter, too, was completely puzzled by the situation at hand. She continued her fruitless search for prey, hoping more help from the camp would come soon. She was practically dead on her paws from hunting all day! Part of her hoped that a group of older warriors would have more success than two apprentices and a newly made proeliator, but she knew that most likely didn't matter. This better not keep up for long...we'll all starve! And with the Destinians and Siverians as close as they are, we can't have something like this holding us back! We must appear just as strong as they are, or we're inviting an attack...

The slimming form of Lluvia stalked silently around the meadow, keeping low to the ground. Her ears were perked for any sound of prey. Her ear flicked slightly as she heard one of the slightest sounds. She was excited, but not brainless enough to rush up on the prey, only to scare it away. She tracked the sound with her sharp ears. Her paws not making one sound. She felt it; it was near. She finally saw the fur of the prey, though she was not certain of what it was, she knew it was huge. Her feet silent, she slowly stalked up behind the animal, two more feet and she could pounce. She slowly took the last step, then, light the speed of light, she pushed off her back feet and landed square on the animal's back. She got ready to paralyze the animal with a killer bite of the spinal cord, but just before she did she realized that this was not prey, but a wolf. She quickly leaped of the wolf and landed lightly a few feet away. "Sorry," she whispered to Winnie, whom she had attacked.

"AHHHH!!!!" Winnie howled in pain as a large blur took a nip to the back of her neck. Luckily, it was not deep enough to sever anything vital, but it did break the skin. "USE YOUR NOSE FOR SHEERA'S SAKE!" She rolled with the agony, muttering crossly. Owen snickered, but Rye glanced around, looking for some cobwebs to press on the cut.

Lluvia looked at her with a mused look. "I don't know the Sheeran scent," she apologized. "Sorry for almost paralyzing you," she muttered, her ears burning. This scent is so... odd, yet so familair. I almost paralyzed her... she felt an odd guilty feeling cling to the bottom of her conscienceness. "Your lands have a very little supply of food compared to the loner and rogue lands," she said. She looked uninterested as she gazed towards the lands where she once had found love. Oh how I wish he would come back...

While Rye was seeing to the now very ornery Winter, Owen noticed Lluvia's longing gaze out towards the loner lands. Abruptly his snickering stopped, and he padded over to sit beside Lluvia. His gaze was far away, fuzzy as he looked outward, a longing, intense desire in his eyes. "I know what it's like...I mean....to have another life." He began, not sure how to make his point. "I love a Yozoran....we have pups...with the alliance, it's all right....but it's not....not all right...." He paused, barely believing he was spilling all of this to his former leader. But as he began again, he realized he meant every one of his next words to the bery roots of his being. "But it's not okay. Because no matter how short the distance, I'll still miss her just as bad. I don't know if you have a love out there, Lluvia, but I know enough to know there's something out there that's waiting for you, or maybe there's some life out there....waiting for you. The life you had before Black Fury. And you need it, I can tell....." he sighed, scuffing his paws in the dirt. "Maybe Winter was wrong. Right, your body was once that of Rain....but now....now, I think you are Lluvia."

Lluvia kept her eyes on her lands. She knew he had to be there, wondering where she was. He probably would barge into the Black Fury camp just to find her. "Remy!" she gasped as the thought crossed her mind. "No-- don't!" her breathing was ragged, her fur ruffled. She whipped her head towards Rye almost banging into him. "I have to go! No time to explain! I have to go save him from the worst mistake he'll ever make!" Without waiting for a reply, she was racing, at top speed, towards Black Fury's camp, her ears back and tail low.

Rye grunted with irritance. "Who's going after her this time?" He sighed, intensely annoyed. "Seriously, I thought she was supposed to be an alphess or something, not a vicious idiot!" He snorted.
Owen laughed, rolling his eyes. "Well I'm not going after her! And yes, she was an alphess....was. Not anymore." "NEITHER AM I!" Winter declared, howling her statement with ferocity. "NO WAY IN HELLFIRE!" Rye shrugged, laughing now, too. "Well then, I suppose she's off!" Winter offered a small smile. "Off like a flying hedgehog!"
