"This is idiotic." Came a snarl that leaked of blood lust and digust.
"Silence. I want my pups." The first brute lashed his tassel against the other's shoulder, a medium sized greyish brown wolf.
Fyren glanced around startled. "Breeze?Breeze?! Svel? Michio?" The little creature twisted around but everything looked the same. Which way had she come? Where was she?!
"Not long, they couldn't be more then 100 paces from the camp." Svel twitched her auds. "But something's not right..."
Sothis jolted to his paws. But rather then follow Svel, he gently took Michio's scruff and pulled the little brute towards himself and his family. "Carolina... do you think..." He mouthed the rest of the sentance. Black Fury? Loni?

Carolina's eyes widened. Fireflight had gone off to search for the pups, but perhaps Svel and Fireflight were so absorbed in their desperate search they'd forgotton to look behind them, look out for Black Fury...
"Perhaps...Sothis, go after them. I'll be fine here. Go!" She whispered feverishly.
Breeze bumped into a soft, familiar paw. "Momma?" She looked up at Svel, shaky and scared.

Svel immediately recognized her little daughter. "Breeze! Oh Breeze hunnie you scared me half to death!" The fae immediately began to nuzzle and lick the top of her daughter's head in a nervous way."Where's Fyren?"
Terrified now the little fae dashed off in a random direction. The wrong direction. Paws guiding her through unfamiliar underbrush. Auds pinned against her skull. Eyes wide with fear, sheer terror.
Sothis was up within a moment. Paws carrying him out of the Nursery and after Svel and Fireflight. Upon spotting the mother and pup air was scented. Brute swiftly found the correct scent trail, and pointed to Fireflight which direction the little pup had gone in.
Th two brute's slunk along the forest floor. Blood stained pelts brushing against the underbrush, but only the greyish brown brute made any noise. The other, the more lethal creature, was silent.

Breeze clung to Svel's paw, frightened. "I don't know! We got seperated...there are bad wolves out there! I've never seen them in camp, so they must be bad!" She yipped fearfully. "They smell...bad..."
Fireflight's tail swished slightly at Sothis' indication. She was nearing her target and stopped suddenly, gaze catching the two wolves in the undergrowth. She motioned for Sothis, knowing she'd need help if she was to fend off these two intruders.
Carolina nudged Michio close to her newborns for protection, but was careful not to squish her own younglings. Her gray gaze lingered on the place where Sothis had dissappeared, banner twitching anxiously.

Michio whimpered a bit. Carefully he shifted his position so that he was close to Carolina and the other pups but not hurting the little creatures.
Zarcon and Jestos had both fallen into a deep slumber.
Rage moved away from his companion at the sight of Fireflight. His paws not being layed upon the earth carefully, branches and twigs breaking with each step. Idiotic wolf he was.
Sothis suppressed a snarl. He recognized both scents. One was of Black Fury's gang and the other wolf was Loni. His enemies mixed together, both wolves he despised. The brute slunk forward, optics darting to catch sight of a wolf moving in the direction of the proxy.
Loni snarled lowly and slunk towards Sothis. The crimson and fiery orange red in his pelt caught in the light once. Suddenly a cracking in the nearby brush caught his attention, Rage was being stupid again. Now he too moved in the direction of Fireflight, or Rage, but not after the proxy. Fyren had stumbled into a small, old rabbit's hole.
Svel's optics followed the other wolves. "Go in and stay with Carolina." Svel nudged her daughter towards the entrance of the camp.
He's here... for them...

Breeze looked up at her mother fearfully, but shot into the nursy and curled close to Michio and Carolina. She had yet to stop trembling. Please, please let Fyren come home safe!
Fireflight's eyes narrowed and she cut Loni's path off. Fyren's scent was hideously fresh, near. It was clear what Loni was here for, and Fireflight was determined to make it clear that Loni would never receive this thing he wanted. She slit across his eyes, hoping to damage his site and drive him back.
(Um...I don't think it's fair you painted Fireflight to be clumsy. In fact, she hadn't moved much at all in my last post.)

(Oh, sorry, I didn't mean Fireflight I meant Rage. I'll fix that.)
Michio nudged Breeze as she curled up close.
Rage noticed Fireflight cut off Loni. This is stupid... I'm leaving... The brute snarled and turned, dashing off into the forest just as Svel appeared nearby.
Loni snarled hideously as Fireflight attempted to damage his vision. Lids closed he stumbled backwards. The wound just above the eye, luckily. Aud's caught the sound of the clutzy idiot Rage dashed away. "Damn it all."

(oh...okay  ) Fireflight smirked, tail lashing. "I think you'd better stumble after him if you know what's best for you," she snarled darkly. Carolina's auds perked, trying to catch the sounds of the search party. Unfortunately, they were too far for her to hear. |

Svel snarled upon seeing Loni. "You bastard." Tassel whipped against her own hind legs.
The brute cursed himself irritatedly. And Rage. And Svel. And pretty much everything while he was at it. Aggravated, but knowing there was no chance at all now, Loni began to stumble away into the brush. Crown shaking to rid his eyes of the blood.
Sothis slunk past Loni, just as the brute was leaving, and stood over the hole which Fyren had fallen into.

Fireflight looked down the hole, seeing Sothis doing the same. She glanced around for Svel. "Svel, we've found Fyren," she barked softly. Even if Loni had heard, he wouldn't be stupid enough to come back when he was so outnumbered.

Rage was gone, off into the loner lands.
Loni cursed the fact that Fyren had not managed to get herself more lost as he too left the terra.
Svel, furious, padded over to the two wolves. "You are in so much trouble." Her voice was angry, but not to angry.
Sothis bent his head down and grasped the little ball of fire in his maw. Dropping her on the ground in front of Svel. Then the brute turned and padded off.
Laxus drifted off to sleep.
Michio sighed and let dreams take him once more.
Svel picked up her pup, and with a nod of thanks to Fireflight, padded back into the camp.
Fyren fell limp in Svel's jaws, wondering what her punishment might be...

Breeze bowed her head shamefully, waiting for her mother near the exit to the nursery.
Fireflight nodded curtly, then went to go find Aliya.
Carolina heaved a great sigh of relief when the patrol returned safely with the pups.
Etheris was in a gentle slumber, but Tataiana was futzing around a bit, perhaps bothering her siblings.

Irritated and in a bit of an emotional frenzy Svel used to the few moments she had well. Carefully gathering herself back up and laying Fyren down next to her sister. Optics shifted from one pup to the next as Fyren stood, tail between her legs, looking down at the ground. "Aliya will decide your punishment."
The alphess lay in the farthest corner of her den. There was no nest beneath her, just the ground. The cold ground. She wasn't asleep but not quite awake. The fae was, at the moment, trapped in a spiral of memories.

Fireflight approached Aliya, gaze grave. "Aliya, Breeze and Fyren took a little adventure durng Carolina's birthing. We found them in the nick of time. Rage and Loni tresspassed on our terra, but took off while they still could. The pups are safe, but Svel wants you to decide the proper punishment for them," the fiery proxy explained. Carolina was grateful that Svel and the pups were back;; keeping the bigger pups away from her newborns wasn't easy, not that it was Michio's fault. Carolina simply wasn't that flexible.  |

Michio blinked one eye open. Shifting away from Carolina he shoved himself up off the earth and padded a few steps towards the entrance, seating himself on the ground halfway there.
Aliya flinched and raised her crown. Auds swiveling and she managed to make sense of Fireflight's words. Sighing, the alphess dragged herself to her paws and gave herself a quick shake. Finally, finding her composure, the fae drifted through the shadows of the den to pause beside the fiery proxy. "I may need a hand Fireflight, my mind is a bit off at the moment." With those words she shuffled her paws a bit and then moved off in the direction of Svel.
