There is nothing left to catch.
My paws have carried me all over the terra today.
I have searched in every crevice, crook and cranny.
Under every pebble and behind every tree.
There is no prey, and if there are any left, they're damn good at hide n' seek.
There is no other choice.
Forgive me.
Weaving through the forest the beta's heart pounded madly in his chest. Iver knew that what he had to do for his pack was wrong. The beta knew that he was breaking so many rules, but what must be done must be done.
But what will Nightshade say?
What will she think?
What will she do?
The thoughts burned in the abyss of his mind. Destroying any sense of right and wrong that might have been left. Even thinking those thoughts was against the rules, those thoughts about Nightshade. Beautiful, intelligent, divine, understanding Nightshade.
Doesn't matter does it?
Doesn't matter to you?
Damn it, you know it matters.
Everything Nightshade says, feels, does matters.
Nightshade matters.
The pack matters.
Nightshade.
The Pack.
Nightshade...
The Pack...
Nightshade...
How in the name of the Twilight Realm was he supposed to choose between his loyalty and his love? Wait, no. It was more like his loyalty and his loyalty, though his love was stronger then loyalty he'd dismiss thoughts of it now. Who was he more loyal to? Nightshade, his love, or The Yozorans, his life. Wait. If love is life, and life is love, then both should not be seperated as they are, should they?
Doesn't matter.
Right now you must get food for the pack.
And you must steal it.
That is how it is.
The scent was like a wall. When it hit his nostrils the brute abruptly skidded to a halt. One front paw on the other side of the border, the rest of him still in Yozoran territory.
Am I really going to do this?
