The snow-white, yet strawberry-red tinted female sat next to the confused male, her eyes bright with enthusiasm. She would definiatly have her love remember her today. She pressed her side to his and groomed his ear. Oh how odd the male might feel. A random stranger came and embraced him, and now sits with him everyday, kissing and loving on him. "Coal..?"

One of his ears twitched, hearing Ivory's voice echo in his mind. Warmth spread through him... yet it was an alien situation to him. Very slowly, his pupils slid to the corner of his eye to view the fae, whose snow-white pelage was so very true to her name. I know I'm supposed to love her... but how can I...? "Hello Ivory," he woofed evenly. He was used to the affection he recieved from her by now, but he still felt nothing in return. Not yet.

Ivory pushed herself to her paws then turned, as if about to put on a show. "Okay, this timew think hard... back to the attack in the so-called abandoned bear's den!" She layed down her eyes full with tears. "This is me. I'm lying in the bear's den with a heavy heart." She leaped to her paws then ran a short distance, turned around and leaped onto an invisible bear. She pretended, now, that the ground was the bear's back. She clambered across the ground and bit into it, dirt filling her mouth. "And dus sis it's spinal cord..." she muttered through the mouthful of dirt. She spit out the dirt then looked to Coal. "You're on the ground bracing for a claw to hit you, but you hear the furious cries of the bear instead. You look up, and in horror, you see the bear trying to swipe at me, but your paw is broken, its hard for you to stand!"

Attempting to picture the scene in his mind, Coal crouched, tentatively raising one paw off the ground- as if it were wounded. Broken... He stared forward... and suddenly his pelt bristled a little. I remember... the bear! It's about to hit-- And then, as fast as the fleeting memory came, it fled. Biting his lip, he cursed under his breath and relaxed his muscles, staring angrily at his paws. There were no more visions in the following few minutes... nor any of the emotions that he felt for his packmates. "...I can't do this... I-" He paused, glancing around him helplessly. "...I just can't remember!"

Ivory's heart sank, but she didn't look as she felt: she smiled reassuringly, though she herself had given up, and trotted to his side. She sat next to him and groomed his ear. "Its alright, Coal. You'll--" her voice faltered as something rustled in the bushes, it wasn't a pack wolf. She glanced around the camp, but no one was near. She looked back to the bushes, eyes sharp, angered even. It was hard to scent what it was, until the wind changed. She gasped, tripping backwards into Coal. "It-it-it-it-it-it--" she stuttered. "It's the--" she was cut off by a horrible roar, and she tried to push backwards as a huge brown form pushed itself into the camp. "---BEAR!" she finished loudly.

Coal perked his ears, sensing her panick growing. "Huh? What's--" And then he realized that something was coming...he scented it before it arrived, and recognized the familiar stench of bear. His eyes bulged, hair standing on end as the creature appeared, shoving the underbrush away and emitting grunts and growls. "...t-t-the..." He froze, unable to move as the creature haunting his dreams advanced toward him.

Ivory's panic continued, her common sense toddling away. She continued to back into Coal even as the bear waddled towards them. It only took her a few seconds to realize what she was doing was stupid. She grabbed her common sense, and as she slapped it back into place, her legs sprung her forwards. She sped in between the monster's legs, whipping around, clambering across his back. She made no hesitation as the vision of the last battle wahsed through her eyes: she bit down hard on the beast's spinal chord hoping to paralyze it.

The bear roared, furious and in agony. Rearing up onto its hind legs, it swung back and forth, trying to shake the wolf off... and ultimately reaching back with one arm, trying to strike the wolf that was on its shoulders. Apparently, the spinal cord technique wasn't as effective as before...
...help her. Coal's senses screamed at him to move, but he felt himself lock into place, still frightened to pieces by the sight playing out in front of him. His cheek still had a white streak of fur from when the ghost bear had struck him during his search for the cure... and a live bear was not what he needed right now. She's going to get hurt! And then a sharp pain roared in his ears- the bear had swiped at him! The wolf was knocked off his paws, landing a few feet away with a bleeding skull and a dull thud. ...where...had this... happened before...? He winced, still alive... but struggling to get enough strength to get up.

"COAL!!" the wolf screamed in agony, she clambered up to the bear's head, eyes tear-filled, but moments strong and fierce. Her claws swung to the bear's eyes, meeting a tofu-like substance, and ripping clear through it. She clambered higher until her paw paws were pushed into the bear's eyes. With force as a mother would have fighting for her pups, she pushed off with her backlegs landed square next to Coal. "Coal! Coal-- are you alright? Coal-- oh-no Coal, not again, no, no, no, not again! No! I have to get you to the healer sooner than I had before! No-- you can't lose the memory you have gained already, no, no, no! I won't let this happen, not AGAIN!" Her anger and hatrid flamed in her eyes as she whipped her head towards the bear.

Coal mumbled something, but it was too low to hear. His eyelids flickered open, pupils tiny dots on a clouded, milky sphere. He inhaled through his nostrils- but all he got was the powerful scent of blood- his blood. A few yards away, the bear staggered forward, roaring its fury... before lunging at them both, fangs bared. ....I've seen this before...

"It's time---this---ended!!" her paws pushing off the soft ground only inches away from Coal's face. Her front paws extended forward, extending with razor-sharp claws, and landed square on the bear's throat. Quickly, she attached to the body with all claws and began to stab with her front claws, into the bear's throat. She pulled in and out, hoping to cause much danger.

The bear staggered back a step, roaring its agony and displeasure as it tried to get rid of the wolf slicing its neck.
I know this... this happened before! Coal struggled to a stand, but nearly tripped when he did; his paw was broken. Holding it awkwardly at one side, he crouched down and looked up at the bear. It was as if he were repeating his forgotten past over again... ...I KNOW this.... "...Ivory?"

Ivory's teeth remained in tact, until she heard words. As the sweet words of the brute hit her ears, everything was blank. She wasn't holding onto the bear as she should've been, she was completely vulnerable to the bear's attacks. "Yes.. Coal..." she whispered, in a trance.

"I... I...." Coal began to stutter, eyes widening. It was all coming back to him now... The fight. The bear. His life as a pup. Him, saving Ivory...
Meanwhile, the bear seized its chanced and swung about, delivering a powerful blow to Ivory's flanks...

Ivory was thrown far by the mighty creatures powerful blow; after she hit a thick tree, out of camp, a dull thud sounded, she had hit the ground, right below. She lay limp below the tree, breathing being the only hint that she still lived. Her fur, now splattered with fresh blood from the bear's swipe, barely moved, as her sides slowly let in air, struggling even. A small whimper escaped her jaws, tear's just visible under her closed eyelids.
