"Idiot." Was all she said. She buried her face in his shoulder, exhaling happily. "Don't be morbid, Lupus. Acording to Mudfang, that's Siveria Nightshade's job!" XD

Lupus was still frowning. "I bet GoldenWolf never had these problems..." He growled. "The coward is still hiding somewhere, watching us screw our lives up."

Rhain snorted at this. "He's probably the asshole messing this all up! I swear I'd kill that son of a righteous cat...." She narrowed her eyes fiercely.

[.Rabid Lycan.]

"Ahh, now I know why I love you," he laughed. He hated the GoldenWolf with a passion. You're the whisper in the wind... and that's all you'll ever be you cowardly son of a cat!

Rhain nipped his ear good-naturedly. "Pssh. Yes, I forgot I was very very fat. You needed to think of a good reason because my fatness is just utterly ridiculous that no wolf should ever love a twinkie like me!" She giggled. Rhain was actually more like a twig than a twinkie XD.

"A 'twinkie'?" Lupus repeated. Raising a brow, he opened his mouth to speak-- and paused, as if thinking better of it. "...I give up on this species..." he muttered. XD

"Don't be a quitter!" She mock-scolded. She smiled widely and nuzzled his hsoulder again. "I won't have quitting on me! Twinkies take five years to digest, so you're stuck with me, anyway!"

Lupus looked at her, amused. "Five years... So, what'll happen the sixth year? Are you going to leave me for someone more handsome?" He smiled playfully. "You're going to run off with Riptide, aren't you?"

"Oh, yes, Lupus! I'm going to run away with my secret lover, Riptide, who is also your best friend!" She barked dramatically. "Nah, too soap-opera-ish!" She licked his nose gleefully. "And besides, who would leave me roses like you? Nobody accepts that black is my favorite! Thorn thinks it's not right for a Spring wolf to like black! But you know different,....you know me better..." She rambled, more to herself than anyone.

Lupus chuckled. "Black roses... yes, signature roses." He licked Rhain's face gently. "Beautiful, black roses..." he murmured, trailing off...

"Nope, don't you do that! You're trailing off again, which means you're going to think up another reason to be depressed and morbid!" She touched his face lightly with her paw. "Let's be happy while we still can, alright? We're going to be scarred for life in about twenty-five days!"

Lupus revealed a small smile. "Well, today was one of the happiest moments of my life, I'd have to say... Seeing all my old friends, you being with me.." He glanced up at her. "Now you have some insight as to what I was like before Verlust."

"Lupus, you're dead. Best day of your death." She smiled. "And what about during Verlust? Who were you then? Oh, and as far as who I was in life, maybe it's better you don't know..." She winced.

Lupus winced, pulling away from Rhain. "With Verlust... I was arrogant and niave." He closed his eyes and shook his head. "I was foolish... and a very, very bad listener." He finished his last words with a snarl. Then, he calmed himself down, muscles relaxing. "Whoever I was during Verlust, I never want to be again."

"Well good, because then I'd have to consider the soap opera option!" She joked. "You know...it makes sense you hang around the seasons....."
