Mist padded into the Twilight Clearing, pawsteps careful and eyes watching their surroundings with lethal intensity. Not a soul stirred in that clearing. None except for Mit herself, and her companion, Light. No fresh scents lingered here, except for a strange aroma, one she could not quite identify, but it was a certain fact that it emitted from the great tree before them. It's branches were tangled and twisted, a mass of gnarled limbs clawing at the stars that shimmered vibrantly above on a royal blue canvas. Satisfied that their actions would remain unseen, Mist paced forward, and ducked into the dark mouth of the Eternal Tree. It literally felt as if she was swallowed hole. The soft chirping of crickets ceased abruptly as she entered the impenetrable blackness. Pacing forward slightly, she ducked int the deep hollow, the stomach, the base of all spiritual connection to their ancestors. The last light of the outer world was blotted out by her inky surroundings, leaving her in total isolation. She breathed slow and deep, preparing herself for what was to come. She spoke no words, as they did not belong here. No...no words would be shared. Only dreams. She lowered her form to the dirt floor, laying down on the damp, frigid earth. Not even her own pale form could be sighted in this cave. Her head rested lightly on her paws, but she did not close her eyes. She waited patiently for her heart to calm its vigorous thumping, then slowly allowed her lids to drop, perpared to meet her ancestors in her sleep.

A black wolf looked up from his spot beside New Moon, and nodded to her, his eyes seeming to come alive and say Stay here- I'll be right back. He stood, tail swishing back and forth as he listened-- it had been a long time since someone had contacted him... and he was reminded, with a jolt, that he had once used sacrafice as means of communication. My, my... it appears that you have changed... he growled inwardly to himself. Straightening his form, he shimmered... heading for the source of the call.
Flames danced and flickered around the scorched- yet still chalk-white- form of the BloodMist alphess, staring out almost idly as she endured the torturous, endless burning of the eternal flames. Who the hell invented this place, anyway? It's not even that mortifying- just boring! She licked his lips, glancing at the ceiling... when suddenly a shiver passed through her form. Hmmm...? She glanced over her shoulder- there was no one around! Someone... must be calling me...? She stood, ears perked as she followed the sound. ...strange... She erupted into flame, shimmering-like Lupus- to the source of the call.

(lol look at the beginning of it XD you said 'Mit' XD)
The big white alpha ran through the forest, wind tearing at his fur, attempting to disassemble him on the spot. His paws flew, blurred columns to the forest surrounding the brute and his mate. A rabbit hopped away from the flying paws to avoid being crushed. The brute didn't notice.
At last Light reached the Twilight clearing. He breathed a sigh of relief as he finally saw something normal; something that wasn't killed by famine. He padded softly towards the Eternal Tree. He lay down beside his mate. Here we go... Light closed his eyes and drifted, awaiting the two great alphas.

At first, Lupus was sure that he was hallucinating. Surely it couldn't...? But it was the denial firing off in his mind that made him think the thoughts that he knew were wrong. He was standing two yards away from Verlust.
The white goddess, turned around-- and, upon seeing Lupus, appeared equally surprised. "...how did you...?"
The black wolf staggered back a few paces. Who the hell brought me here!?

(Oh, get over yourself Mud. I have a fingernail that's about to fall off and it hurts like heck. Typing is awkward. Cut me some slack . And besides, you make typos, too!) Mist stood, glancing at the two legends before her with awe. She bowed her head slightly, then murmured. "Greetings Verlust, Lupus. Light and myself have come to seek your guidance."

It took Lupus a few moments before he realized that there were two more wolves in his midst. He narrowed his eyes. "You brought me here-- with her??"
"Relax, Lupus."
"Relax?? How am I supposed to relax when everywhere I go, you're there!" he spat back, hackles rising as he heatedly glared at the other wolf.
"So, you don't intend on helping them?" Verlust woofed, scarlet eyes shining and tone sharp.
Lupus hesitated before taking a few paces away from Verlust... and turning to the living wolves. "...very well. What can we assist you with?" I hope it's quick- otherwise we all be in trouble...

Mist flicked her tail, slightly uneased by the argument between the two. That will not happen with Light and I. It won't. "I'm sure you can recall the war between the ancient packs," Mist started. "The old alliances are back in place, and war is coming soon. But we are at an unfair disadvantage -- our lands are absolutely wiped of prey. We intend to ask for more territory at the next meeting, but I think it goes without saying that the other packs will take this as hostility. We'll have to fight for food, and we're in no position to do that just yet. Black Fury has crowded the Loner Lands, so we are tapped. We don't need to be back to our normal state...but we just need a little more strength before we can put up a fight for territory." Mist explained. "Light and I came here with the mindset that you both could help us, seeing as you've lived something curiosly similar."

Light simply glanced at Mist and gave a sharp nod. He was horrible with words. Hopefully the alphas could help.

Verlust raised a brow and glanced at Lupus. "Sound familiar?"
Even Lupus could not deny the mirroring events of this war- the alliances falling into place... and now the hardships. I wonder if you're doing this, Goldenwolf... I wonder--
"Recruits."
"...pardon?"
Verlust's eyes were shining as she rested them on Lupus' form. "They said that Black Fury is running the Loner lands, which is undeniably true. But what of the rouges not within the Cult?"
"The Cult's victims, you mean..." Lupus growled.
"...percisely," Verlust woofed with a small nod. She turned back to the living wolves. "Why not try to recruit those wolves... those well-fed loner wolves that refuse to take part in the Cult? Promise them protection from the Cult- they're all afraid of it- and let them live among your packs... and, while they are fresh and powerful, send them to take some of the enemy's food stashes. Both will make you become more and more powerful..."
"But how do you know that they will comply? And how do you suppose we seek out these wolves?" the black wolf argued, standing.
"We sought out recruits before, haven't we?"
"..." He couldn't reply to that, but that had been luck and risky.

Mist thought on this carefully. normally it was no ther style to do something like this, but it really didn't sound all that bad. There were definitly wolves that owed the Yozorans, and she could possibly contact Lluvia.... "Light, what was that fae's name who helped bring Olive home? Annanti or something? I could contact Lluvia, possibly...and there are others...." She pondered aloud. Verlust had a good point. Even if the loners did live in the camp, most would probably prefer sleeping on the terra rather than in the dens. And even then, it would be easy to hide and Sheeran or Yozoran scents. The other packs would blame the loners and Black Fury, forget about the Sheeran and Yozoran threat, and the Sheerans and Yozorans would grow stronger. This could work fairly quickly, and they'd have a network of possible spies if needed... "It's brilliant."

The white fae licked her lips in satisfaction, a gleam of triumph in her eyes as she looked a Lupus again. "See, love? She agrees- it's a good plan. You helped come up with it in the first place, if you remember..."
"I remember just fine, thank you," Lupus replied in a snappish but hoarse voice. "And don't think for a second that I don't remember everything that happened back then..." I had to live off memories for twenty years in Hellfire- of course I couldn't forget!
Verlust shrugged. "Suit yourself, love- just saying."

Light smiled. This would work out perfectly... If everything went well. But... wasn't that just plunging them straight into war? He shrugged the idea of and remained silent.

Mist nodded again. "War was inevitable -- but this way we'll be able to take what we need and outnumber the Siverians and Destinians. They'll surrender and we'll have our terra. We can address Black Fury after that, and then life will return as normal, all of the packs fed." She dipped her head to verlust and Lupus. "Thank you for your time. If Light has nothing else to add, then we should probably head back and get started."
