"Stubborn!" She snapped at him. "You should be resting! I've never seen such a starved wolf! You'll over exert yourself!" She insisted. She sighed, frustrated, tail lashing. She glanced over her shoulder. Three of four leaders were there, and Light would probably be there with the Yozorans soon. She didn't have time to speak with Sabela about the wolf, so she would have to keep him in order until she could explain more to this strange new wolf back at the camp. She whipped her gaze back at Toboea, her eyes frustrated but not unkind. "My name is Freya," the white femme breathed. "I am a lupus proeliator, wolven warrior, of the Siverian Pack. Once every month, when there is no moon in the sky, the four packs gather here to share news. There is a truce in place this night between our normal opposition, as is ever Moonless Meeting. Right now, we are free to go and mingle amongst the wolves of our pack and the wolves of the other packs," She nodded to the mass of pelts, "When the fourth pack gets here, we will wrap up our conversations with our fellow wolves and silently watch the formal part of the meeting. You see those three wolves up there?" She flicked her tail towards Mist, Sabela, and Aliya on the Twilight Stone. "They are three of the four leaders. Like I mentioned before, the fourth pack is on its way. When all of the alphas are on the stone, they will howl to signal silence and attention. Then, they will each take their turn and present their goings-on to the rest of the packs. After the leaders have closed the meeting, we all return home to our rightful camps and the truce is over until the next meeting. After the meeting, I will take you to speak with Sabela, my leader, if you would like."

Nectar padded into the clearing cautiously. Looks like some sort of gathering. I thought I heard a few wolves talking about a meeting or something...
She spotted Freya, who was with another wolf at the moment, and trotted over. "Hello, Freya. Uhm, what's going on?"
While waiting for a response, she gazed at the crowd of wolves gathered in the clearing. Whoa... so many wolves... I've never seen such a thing! It must be something important.

Freya sighed, but turned to Nectar and prepared to repeat what she had just said to Toboea. "Every month, the packs gather here under a temporary truce to share news with each other. These are called Moonless Meetings, because there is never a moon in the sky when they are held. Right now, we're in the informal part of the meeting. Wolves are free to talk amongst each other, no matter what pack. When the Yozorans get here, their leader will join the others on the Twilight Stone, and then they will call for silence and attention. Each will speak their piece, then close the meeting. Then, we go back home and the peace is over until the next meeting." She woofed, calming as she spoke. "Just don't give away too much to wolves outside our pack, all right?" She offered a small smile. She felt bad about being frustrated, but Toboea had irked her a bit.

Nectar was still eyeing the rest of the wolves gathered there. I get the feeling from what Freya said that the packs don't get along with each other too well. But all Nectar said was, "Are the packs in competition to one another?"
She looked up at the moonless sky. Because it sure sounds like it. And then what's the point of getting together and speaking, basically sharing information, if you're withholding information at the same time...? The stars sparkled overhead, not caring whether the moon was shining or not, apparently. Ah well. The older wolves know best. What am I doing questioning it all?

Freya frowned. "A competition is not what I would call it. The history of how there came to be four packs is a long story, meant for a training session at a different time. For now, just know that we're seperated into different packs because there are too many wolves in this forest for us all to hold the same interests...meaning that a single pack would never benefit anyone. We have seperate territories, seperate leaders and ranks, and seperate needs and desires." She answered simply. Pray Sabela doesn't land me with Toboea, too! hey're both nice....it's just that our history and ways are long and complicated. They're at different levels of learning. It would be ardorous to teach them both -- she'll definitly give Toboea a different mentor if he actually ends up joining. Why must random pack-seeking loners be attracted to my existence? In fact, this was the third, fourth time Freya had encountered a wolf seeking a pack. After a while, chance meetings seemed more like being stalked.

The alpha was taken by surprise at the greeting from Mist. Definetaly not what she had expected. Optics showed this, slightly, as she was not very good at hiding her emotions. There was the slightest nod of respect, and surprise, given to Mist. "Good to see you." It was good to see that Mist did not seem to be quite as hostile as before. But it was also a great surprise, one that had the alpha shifting uneasily from paw to paw. Where is Light... This thought was one of irritation, sort of.
The coat painted with ray's, browns, black and white was dull and pitiful. It held no sheen, no shimmer of health. The fur was ragged and hung from his figure. Ribs showing through, as well as a few other bones. The beta, or alpha as he would soon truly be, had not eaten for many days. Brute was leaving the little prey that could be caught for the wolves who truly needed it.
Pyre blinked in great surprise at the exchange between the alpha's. Confusion spreading across his features. "Why are they being so.... civil.... shouldn't they be angry or something? I thought are packs were rivals..." Pyre only had half a clue what he was talking about at any rate. A snort from the irritated Zethro was the response he got.
Iver made his way through the few wolven in the clearing, most likely other member's of his pack would follow him into the clearing. Dull, pained optics searched out the figure of the beautiful Nightshade, and her pelt caught his eye. The brute was about to head to her side, but he kept his direction, towards the other alphas. Nevertheless his pace was slow and exhausted; perhaps she'd get to speak to him before he lept up onto the rock. Perhaps not.

Pernille walked beside her father and then departed from him toward she relized that he was going to the alphas. She turned toward the oppistie direction of Nightshade who is her father's new buddy and just can't stand her right now. Only if her mother and her brother were alive. Things might have been different. Who knows?

Mist's eyes were suddenly wide, furious, shocked, glaring at Iver's appraoching figure. No. This can't be right. Where is Light? Too ill to come? No, he was getting by the last time I saw him. We were going to be fine, I just saw him yesterday! He can't have fallen ill, he has to be coming! He has to be, he just has to be! He wouldn't have left his pack, no, he would never do that! And he swore he wouldn't leave me, he wouldn't be like damned Forest, he said he wouldn't leave! Where the hell is he and why isn't he here? Why? Why does the world hat me so? Mist was paling swiftly, the white of her features now suddenly far more pronounced. "Where is Light, Iver?" She snarled, her voice venemous, lethal. Her paws were shaking, as if they wanted to lunge at the beta, but she was restraining herself. Barely.
Now the old king is dead, long live the king. One minute I had the key....
"No....there has to be some mistake. Iver what's going on?!" She demanded coldly, now stepping down from the stone to meet Iver's eyes on the same level. There was no mercy in the hatred that pooled in her eyes, no denying the silent promise of a slow, painful murder. Livid, passionate anger was the understatement of the year. If this wolf wasn't careful with his words, he'd be the victim of an acidic torment similar to the one occurring internally on Mist herself.
For some reason I can't explain, Once you'd gone there Was never and honest word, But that was when I ruled the world...

The electric blue eyes flashed, still at the tip of the clearing, watching over the others. They seemed to note the surprising loss of hostility from the Sheerans. Though it did not show in her guarded eyes, she was frustrated by, not the Sheerans odd politeness, but by her own misunderstanding of what is to come. She couldn't discover, or even catch the slightest clue, of what was to come, or what was to potentially come in the near future. The electric blue disappeared, only to reappear momens later in the clearing, beside the Sheeran alphess.
[[Ooooh! **glee dance** I just love how thats the first question everyone asks 'Are you suffering from Black Fury's ranks?' **glee**]]

Mist continued to stare, breathing labored, heavy, hard to accomplish. Time seemed to slow as she gazed into Iver's eyes, every heartbeat she accomplished was worth a minute to the world projected to her eyes. She could not stop the connecting gaze. She couldn't stop the information from flooding through her, ripping through her bones, tearing her veins, blackening her bloodstream. She could not accept it. She could not defeat it. Realizations...
Finally she snapped, stumbling away from Iver and accidentally bumping into a few wolves. She continued to back away as if she hadn't noticed them, continuing her strange flight until she hit the front of the smooth, cold Twilight Stone.
"WHO THE HELLFIRE DID IT?!" She screamed, shattering the silence. "WHO KILLED HIM?!"
Owen felt cut off of breath, scarcely able to swallow it. He searched the crowd for Kiba, but couldn't find her. "Seidei!" He called to the beta, "You're going to have to take over for her tonight."

Lilly Pad watched her leader snap at the beta of the allied pack. Light was apperently dead somehow and Mist just needed to know who the hellfire did it. She just arrived at the meeting cause of her depression of what happened with her and Julian. Atempted suside, no one really knew that she even did it. She might as well talk to Rye or Winter. Not Fang casue he isn't here. Mythic isn't part of the pack anymore with her anger problem. She walked toward Winter and her boyfriend. "Hey," She said like she was about to cry. There was nothing else to do with her anyways. [/blockquote][/color]

Winter flicked her tial in acknowledgement to her sister, but was in no mood to stike up small talk now. Something was terribly wrong. All senses told her that someone had murdered Light, and it must've been quite recent, as Mist had been with him all the previous day. She shot a glance at Owen, then looked to Anelie and Vance. Owen was apparently in shock, not the hysterical type that his mother was fading into, but definitly numb and having a hard time swallowing the information. She hoped Anelie and Vance would be all right; they had never really met their 'step-father' as far as she knew....but it still hurt to see one's mother in pain. It still hurt to see her alphess in such pain. It would hurt anyone to see even their darkest nemisis in this much agony...
Freya bowed her head, unable to look at the sight of Mist any longer. Her heart felt heavy in her chest. Moments ago, she would've relished the chance to tear Light and Mist both apart. Now, as the caterwauls of Mist's grief rained upon the clearing, she would love to take all of the hostilities back. One thing was for certain : there would be no fighting among the packs tonight. And perhaps not for a while, either. Mist was not strong enough to lead her pack into war now. Anyone could sight the obvious. So this is what the change must've been....that strange feeling I've had all night....yes, that's what was changed.....but did his death really cause a stop to all of the madness? No, there's something deeper here....something we can't quite see....
Fireflight looked towards Aliya, eyes sad. Please, Aliya....let's not fight anymore. She seemed to say. At least not tonight.

Nectar was worried.
One, Freya had frowned at her. What did I do wrong? Or was she just frowning because she had to think, or... what? Nectar decided to leave Freya alone for a while. She probably needs some peace and quiet, anyway. Besides, I should get to know new wolves... but I'm not sure I want to...
Nectar trotted over to another spot and lay down. And then the second thing happened.
For some reason, a wolf started yelling... no, that wasn't quite the right word, but she didn't know what was... and apparently, someone named Light had been killed. Light... nope, doesn't ring a bell. Was he important? She mentally slapped herself. Of course he was. Why else would there be yelling? It still wasn't the right word, but she didn't really care anymore.
I don't want to go ask Freya about it, because I think she's got enough on her hands... er... paws already.
So she just lay there. Being worried.

Mystic, noting that Freya was a bit preoccupied at the moment, padded over to Nectar to explain what was happening. "Light is -- was -- the leader of the Yozorans. It's against wolven law to take a mate from another pack, but Mist and Light broke this rule. They loved each other....and they weren't exactly private about it. Their packs knew, the forest knew. But it would appear that Light was....assasinated. Murdered. We looked down upon them for their relationship.....but now I think we can all put that behind us. There are greater threats to deal with.....if there is indeed an assasin," the proxy whispered to Nectar. She was worried deeply by this. Black Fury was a definite possibility, and very likely, too. But even if it was Black Fury.... The air just seems so....eerie tonight.....
