Some of you know about the Invisible Children. Some of you ignored my posts, my videos, my site. I'm quite literally begging you now to read this. If you have a fucking heart, you'll keep your eyes on this damn post.
This is the worst thing that could possibly happen.
For two years, night commutes were finished. 800 000 people moved home from Displacement Camps. Peace talks were happening, there was a ceasefire with the government of Uganda and the LRA.
The peace talks, the ceasefire,...they are over. And now there is only one thing we can do. That is military action against the LRA.
Woo! That's all fine, right? Just kill all the bad guys and it's over?
1,600 troops. If we get the UN, other countries involved, it should just be over real quick, right?
95% percent of those troops are children, but that doesn't fucking matter, does it?
Kony will not back down. They don't no where he is, and nobody's going to get close enough to him to pull the trigger.
All of those kids are going to die.
So I'm asking you now, don't turn away. Don't forget this. Don't tell me "That's Africa. It can't be fixed." Yes, we were too damn late but I can't forget the first time I saw that video. I can't forget that while President Bush goes around shooting off fucking bombs and smiling in his comfy bed, saying "no child is left behind" when the kids in America have never been so undisciplined, when Osama Bin Laden is still at large, while over 1,000 kids are going to be murdered. And I hope to whatever higher power exists that somebody else is as desperate, as consumed by this as I am.
If you have not seen what is happening here, here's all six parts of the video that will teach every person who sees it just how lucky they really are:
