She glanced around, distaste curling her muzzle into a snarl. The once puppyish fat was gone from her now slender body. She could have been beautiful, if not for the scars from various species criss-crossing over her body, and the permanent scowl on her face. There was no particular reason she was standing in camp, glaring at everything as if it had just caused her personal harm. Orange shook her gloriously-coloured head, snapping suddenly as a butterfly fluttered by, barely missing her crooked teeth. Missing the white spectre only made the she-wolf even angrier, she ground her teeth against each other, the origional reason they were crooked, later they became worse from her gripping onto things too powerful for her jaws. Where was everyone? She wanted a good scrap, or maybe go hunting with one of these 'pack mates' she didn't care about. It didn't matter, just so long her teeth got into something, raw and dripping. So long as she got hold of something weaker than her, so long as it cried in agony as she teared at its flesh. Sweet, gorgeous pain (Pain of others, of course). Her sinewy bulk plomped itself on the floor, Orange raised her muzzle to the air, as if about to howl. She made no noise, just stared up at the darkening sky, marvelling at how blood-like the wispy clouds looked.

Terralisa eyed the she-wolf before her with an odd sort of stare. Terra was a new neophyte in the Sheeran pack, and she was certain Orange was a warrior, but that didn't mean she would bow down to this seeminglyt ungrateful character. She looks irritable...and almost bored. she thought, restraining the glare from her eyes as she approached. "Hello, Orange," she murmured, voice not giving away her own irritance at Orange's apparent indifference. "Is something bothering you?" She couldn't contain that last sour note, though it was a question she shouldn't have had to ask. Why should this she-wolf be bored? All she had to do was look around her and to see there was much to be done! Terra didn't yet have a mentor, but as soon as she found one, she would be out and training. It wasn't fair! She had all the will and determination, but no one to teach her the skills she needed to help her pack in these desperate times. Not only were the forests ruined from the flames, but the smoke was clinging heavily to the earth and winter was well on its way. What's even less fair is that wolves like Orange, who know how to hunt and fight, are sitting around doing nothing. She thought bitterly.

Orange's head snapped in the direction of Terra. Without her even being aware, her lips curled back in warning and the fur upon her back rose into a menacing arch. Her teeth stopped grinding, but only so that they could clench together with cruel strength which made her gums throb in protest. Not even attemtping the polite demanor the other wolf was, Orange grunted in rough feral tones "Bothering me? Why nothing, nothing is bothering me." Feeling as if the other wolf had just pointed out a weakness, Orange ruffled her fur up higher, and with deliberate slowness she rose onto her feet, face still contorted into a vicious snarl. It irritated her even more when she finally remembered who this wolf was. A trainee approaching her, that made the situation even better, the thing wouldn't be able to hunt and she guessed it wasn't even a good fighter. All in all, not quite worth it... Orange's sharp glare portrayed all of her disapointment over who it was that had found her. Couldn't it be some arrogant male, ha! Oh she hated arrogance, she was the best thing around, stronger than everyone and everything. She was a Queen, and she spat on arrogance. The scarred fae took a step closer, her body stuck between the high posture of a dominant wolf, and the offensive posture of someone who wanted to fight. She supposed she could make a game of it, pull the trainee around a bit. What else had she to do on that night? "Why would it concern you what bothers me hmmm? Looks like someone is prodding a pitchfork where the sun don't shine"[/i] She hissed, mimicking a cat fairly well, her arched back fitting in purrfectly with the picture.

Terra snorted with disgust as she watched and listened to Orange's actions. She was secretly irritated and piecing together a speech to Lirenia, but remained calm, cool, and steely outwardly towards Orange. "Mhm. Yeah, I'll lay this out to you plain and simple: We're in a pack, bitch. If you don't want to be here, trust me, no one's going to stop you from leaving. You wanna be here, you work just like the rest of us," Terra rolled her eyes at the femme's posture, feeling a few prickles of elation as she realized she just showed up a supposed warrior. An ignorant thing at the very least. Oh, yeah, don't forget the "I'm-better-than-everything- attitude of hers. Arrogance. I wonder how wolves get so wound up in themselves -- really, it's not all that interesting to sit there and cross-analyze yourself in every which way.

When Orange had nothing to be mad at, she was in a bad mood. But when she did have something to be mad at, self control was beyond her. The words stung, and she felt the familiar red gauze falling over her eyes. She had no intention of returning such a blow with words, this called for something more. Needless to say Orange wasn't a diplomat, when it came to words she was unpractised and could easily lose in a clash of tongues. So she did as always, relied on her compact bodice to uphold her honour. If that neophyte thought she could mess with a warrior and not expect a fight, then there would be no promotion for a long time. The pup would pay for that, she would make sure the untrained thing would remember her. Her sides trembled in brief warning before her muscled uncoiled with sudden speed. Not having lowered herself into a pouncing position before, Orange felt her muscles protest at the sudden leap. She ignored the protest, opening her much-abused mouth. Her glistening teeth now showed in all their hideous glory, her gums gleamed blackly under the yellow. They were not pretty; not some thing with which to smile; they were the tools she used to cut into flesh. Along with foul breath, a rippling-roaring-screeching-growling snarl flowed out from Orange's throat. Her ears flung themselves against her head where they would be less likely to get torn further. Only once she was rapidly approaching Terra did Orange plan where to strike. An easy enough decision to make, her head snapped to the side, and just as her large clawed feet hit the ground, she struck like a coiled snake for the side of Terra's neck. If she got a hold there, her well-used jaws could stop Terra from using her own jaws against her. The one thing she didn't think about was, if the pup moved in time, her balance would fail, and she would stumble, and she would be at a disadvantage, albeit for a small time, but it just could be enough for her to wind up belly-up on the ground.

This all happened too fast for Terra to move, but definitly not too fast for another warrior to see. They were in the middle of the camp, much to Terra's relief. In a few seconds, she'd have this freak exiled. She narrowed her eyes and gritted her teeth and pain snarled up and down her throat, but she did not fight or move, knowing it would probably only hurt more if she did. She only waited, counting to ten mentally and sighing hoarsely with relief as another form moved across her shadow.
"What the hellfire do you think you're doing?" The outraged, near-roar of anger was sounded loudly behind Orange, drawing the attention of others in the area. Solaris, the one who had called out, did not waste time waiting for answers. He lunged, a swift kick to Orange's stomach would be enough to free Terra. The young neophyte stumbled away and glared hatefully at the wolf in front of her. "Like I said, no one would stop you from leaving, but you should also know that no one will allow you to stay here after that!"
Solaris's stance was defensive, in between Orange and Terra, gaze steadily holding the same distaste as Terra. "It's not my call, it's Lirenia's, but I'd say she's about right, anyway."

Such a pretty, pretty color... It holds the bright, beautiful hue of the red roses that blossom. The glossiness of fresh fruit. Oxygen and life trapped within it, pouring from it. Each drop so perfectly shaped, almost like a rain drop.. but not quite. Who would have thought that blood could be so fascinating?
Endless train of thoughts was suddenly cut short; like a piece of debris, the lines which hold it to the sinking ship when being cut so that it does not act as an anchor. Twas more sudden then should have been. The senses working more quickly then usual for some reason at the particular moment. Ears shot up, strained. They needn't have bothered. The snarling, growling, from the camp would have been clear even if there had been lumps of moss in the male's ear lobes. That was not a good thing.
In the time it takes a bird to open its beak and cry out for help the wolf was on his feet. Paws carrying body swiftly through the terrain, a steady lope. Carcass had been stowed away; someone would get it at a later time. The deer would make a fine meal for a few of the packs neophytes and proeliators, if they took only their fair share that is.
Claws clicked ominously on the rock as the recently appointed beta entered the Sheeran Camp. Ears were half perked, fur covering shoulders bristled, tail held high to show his dominance. "What in the name of Golden Wolf is going on here?"

Solaris flicked his tail to Terra, urging her to explain, but he did not remove his gaze from Orange for one moment. He didn't quite understand what had spurred such a sudden hostility from the she-wolf ;; she never really played a large social role in the pack, nor did she choose to involve herself with greatly aiding the Sheerans. And quite frankly, an act like this went against Sheeran nature. They were wolves with burning compassion, not searing anger and violence like their ancestors in Blood Mist. The wolf's ears were perked, angled towards Terra.
"What's going on here?" A startling white she-wolf came up the slope in a rush of pawsteps, breathless and worry in her crystal optics. She blinked, confused, between Terralisa, Orange, Solaris, and Pyre. Her eyes remained on the beta, tail twitching anxiously. "Is there something wrong?"
"Wrong?" Terra sniffed. "That's an understatement. So I come to pass by Orange, here, moping, whining about being bored. I remind her that she's part of a pack and nobody really has time to be laying around doing nothing, and that if she didn't want to be part of the pack, she could go be bored somewhere else. Yeah, I guess it was 'disrespectful' or something, but no real warrior acts like that!"
Solaris nodded for her to continue, adding, "You're right, it was a little disrecpectful, but she obviously needed a little boosting."
"Yeah, well, anyway, she attacked me after that, and then you came along and now here we are," She finished, matter-of-fact tone.

Tick ... Tick .... Tick .... Tick .... Tick ....
Milliseconds quickly turned to seconds, seconds to minutes. It seemed like ages, to self anyway, that wolf stood there. The caramel chocolate hairs that seemed to be dusted with a light coating of orange in places were still bristled along shoulders. In fact, the entire time that Terra spoke, for every millisecond that passed since the time brute had walked into the camp, another hair raised. Slowly, ever slowly, ears had perked to the point of becoming stiff. Muscles were tensed beneath the coat that was covered in a healthy sheen. The glow of life and youth in amber-yellow eyes.
Do something... Say something...
Gaze drifted to the beautiful white she-wolf, but passed over her quickly, as if searching for another wolf. In fact, Pyre was. The beta had been hoping that the wolf he treated like a brother would be near; for once, Zethro wasn't. Nor were the two pups he treated like little sisters. Nor the fae he kept an eye on, to make sure she was getting by.
Your all alone on this one.... But not quite.
Throat was cleared, quietly, and jaws opened. The voice was steady, irritatingly calm perhaps. "Terralissa, your actions were disrespectful, but understandable." Eyes shifted from the young wolf to Solaris, a brief nod of approval, then they landed on Orange. "I suggest you do nothing more that could harm yourself or your reputation with the Sheerans. It may already have been damaged beyond repair." The beta paced towards the other wolves. "Wether or not you remain a Sheeran is Lirenia's decision. However, until she makes a decision, I think it would be fitting that someone keep an eye on you."
Who though...

Solaris nodded, apparently pleased with the decision. He glanced towards Terra, eyes sympathetic. "You should go to the healer before training, it looks like you have a few bitemarks. Nothing serious, but still, get it checked out. We don't need any infections in times like these," he woofed. The sleek, black wolf, blinked to his sister, who seemed to hold a mischeivous glint in her eyes.
"I'll be able to help keep an eye on her if you want me to, Pyre," she woofed. a small, playful smile on her lips. Natalia was a fighter, a rough-around-the edges she-wolf, someone that was hard to get close to, but a loyal, pure, intelligent being nonetheless. It was clear she relished something like this, a chance to use her best skils to help her pack, even if she would not be in the midst of a battle. It was really unlikely at this point that anything major would happen, but it was one job that Natalia would certainly be able to do.
Terra nodded, sending one last stare of murder towards Orange, then heading to the healer den.

I think... I made a good choice...
Amber-yellow gaze followed Terra as the wolf seemed to follow the directions of Solaris. A little twitch of nose, it seemed, as if some thought, or something to say, came into mind. However, whatever it was, Pyre did not express it. Rather, the brute gave a little nod of head. For a moment gaze landed on Solaris. Some thought or other seemed to pass through mind, but it took a moment for the brute to make a decision. "Solaris, if you don't mind, I left a freshly killed buck under a .. plant when I heard the commotion. Would you mind retrieving it before a fox or coyote does so? It will do well to feed the neophytes and Bearers."
C'mon... take the bait... give me a few moments with your s-
The train of thought was abruptly cut off. The beta turned his gaze on the stunning she-wolf now. "Oh, yes, that would be much appreciated Natalia." The wolf almost seemed anxious now, as if something had disturbed him. Wether or not that was true, the brute padded towards the fae, and began to speak in hushed tones so that voice would not carry to Orange. Hopefully. "Keep a very close eye on her. Don't let her eat, sleep, hunt, walk, talk, or anything without being watched. That sounds a bit drastic, but I think it's necessary." Even more quietly, he continued, "There's just something about her..." And the words held hints of his unease somehow.
Nice one, brainiac.

( *snickers* xD)
The night-painted warrior dipped his head, then turned away, padding off towards the area Pyre had directed him too, deciding he would take the buck to the seniors and queens, then go off in search of mor eprey for the warriors and neophytes. We're running lower than ever....it's understandable after the fires, but winter won't allow for any new growth by the time she lays claim on the forest. He frowned as camp turned out of sight, privately glancing suspiciously at the mists that hung eerily over the branches of the woodlands.
Natalia flicked her tail, signaling it would be no hard ship. She turned and sat, poised, beside Orange. She yawned widely, but showed little sign of actually tiring. Sitting, she was, but it was clear from her posture that this could change anytime she wanted it to. "Why don't we make this easy --- you'll just stay here until someone gets Lirenia. She probably won't be too long."

((Ooc: What in the world has just happened? I'm not even going to bother with action and response.)) Orange growled, not in the least sated. If anything her anger was time times what it was when the snivelling pup had insulted her then wasn't even ready for a fight. She twisted her head and snarled at the wolf next to her, still standing in a place where she somehow had been kicked into without tearing the pups jaw off or even having a single chance to notice or respond, or do anything. "Why don't you choke on a swarm of wasps?" The wolf snapped, her skin still pulled taunt over her muscles. Would this wolf do magical things and send her careering into a tree too? More growls followed her words, she wanted to teach all of them. Pick them off one by one, that was it... And this one was on her lonesome. Puffing up her chest arrogantly, Orange waited for a retaliation, sure she was ready for anything.

(( Um....well, your wolf just attacked a pack member. Worse, she attacked a pack member that couldn't defend itself. That's kind of against pack law... 0_o ))
Terra was already out of sight, and Solaris was busied with the buck. Natalia only blinked soberly towards Orange, sitting down and yawning. "Look," she began calmly, "I know you probably feel like Terra was out of her place or whatever, but you need to chill out a little bit. These are tough times for the packs, and we don't have time for wolves to be thinking that the individual is valued more than the group. It's a lesson Terra needs to learn to, except for she has an excuse to be less mature. I guess she was right when she said nobody would try and keep you here if you left, but this doesn't have to be the way it goes," Natalia shrugged, eying the foggy smoke around them with worry. Clearly the warrior was not taking sides, not excusing anyone, but not being overly harsh, either. Natalia was a known realist, so it wasn't much of a surprise.

((Ooc: Yeah, but I'd rather have gone through with her surprise at being kicked **Huffy face**)) Digging her claws into the ground, she glared at Natalia. Not another wolf who wouldn't fight! What is wrong with these wolves? Why can't they just give me a good fight. Its not fair! Keeping less angry thoughts to herself, Orange tossed her head, flexing down into a crouching position, trying to egg the other wolf on. "You should have let me teach her properly, or do you enjoy snivelling words with no action?" Her voice rose a fraction higher, imitating Terra's voice- though she continued to growl softly at the back of her throat- best as she could. "Ooh, you're a smelly poopoo head, thats what you are."
