Zero shook some snow from his face that had stuck when he fell. He stood again and chuckled lightheartedly as he shook more snow from his pelt.
"What's the matter, never seen snow before?" he teased.

Freya rolled her eyes at his jibe. "Never seen snow? I was born in the middle of winter," she laughed softly. "It terrified me at first sight. Now, well....it's just a nuisance, isn't it? What's so good about a bunch of white crap? I'll tell you what it does: it makes things cold and wet, it takes up space and clogs up the camp and dens, it makes the portion of us without pelts colored like mine stand out, it interferes with visibility and travel, and it sends all the easy prey into hiding and brings out the moose and elk that call for groups of wolves to take down." She blinked at him oddly, slightly perplexed at his laughter. "Do you....er....enjoy it?" she asked, genuinely curious. She sniffed, then chuckled, "Can it be enjoyed?"

"I don't hate it, but I'm not exactly crazy about it either. When you can't see, it makes you rely on other senses and heightens them, therefor you have experience using only smell and hearing if there was ever a circumstance if you couldn't see or were blinded."
Zero sneezed as the wind blew a couple snowflakes up his nose.
"If you were ever caught in a blizzard while fighting a wolf who's never been in the snow, though it unlikely it would ever happen, you would have more experience. As for the hunting, I don't like working in big groups, but it means taking down bigger prey and more food for the pack. Besides, I like a challenge."

Freya shook her head at him, more awed than dismissive. "Optimism. It's so rare for me to sight the creature!" Her bark was wistful, and she was teetering on the edge again -- that fine line between being okay and keeping the foreboding strains out of her mind....and going insane with grief for her dearest, last friend. Last friend? Really? She nearly flinched, but managed to control herself. How could she get chummy with someone else if Annelise was missing? That was ridiculous! Annelise wouldn't have wanted you to forget yourself! She would've wanted you to keep on living! And heck, maybe Zero can help you form another search party later! Good lord, I needa just wake up! Freya winced, eyeing up the white powder that was just inches away from her own creamy paws. She needed a whim. She needed to give herself over to some sort of instinct -- the instinct that was flailing inside of her. The sense that called for more than just bare minimum survival. Dear Twilight, it was calling for fun. The paw was out in a flurry instant, cold, wet, white, irritating white clumps flying through the air....right towards Zero.

Before he could react, Zero was showered with snow. He sputtered, but no words were formed, he was too shocked.
When he recovered, he gave Freya a fake glare and sprayed the powdered snow back at the she-wolf with a quick whoosh of his paw. and shook off the remaining snow from his pelt.
Hoping he got out of the way in time, Zero raced behind a nearby tree, a smile over his features and he started a snow war with Freya.
