Apollo had lost it again, her temper that was. She’d been around some of the new pups and they’d been acting like, well pups. Playful, nipping at her hind quarters, jumping up, tugging on her ears. Apollo hadn’t been in a good mood to start off with, seeing as winter was coming and she was freezing again. So to top it off with boisterous baby wolfs, was not a good mix. Although angry, Apollo had been good and she hadn’t snapped or attacked anyone, she’d simply walked away, well more like bolted, her jaw gripped tightly together. Perhaps they annoyed her so much because she doubted that she herself would ever actually have pups. After all, it wasn’t like she seemed like the maternal type and you needed a mate to have pups right? Well she didn’t have one of those either, in her mind she didn’t have time for it nor did she want one because it would only end in heartbreak. She didn’t want to be like her mother and throw herself off the side of a mountain, it was silly and irrational. After leaving the main camp, Apollo had taken off her paws thumping the ground with startling power as she ran, her sleek body narrowly missing scrapes as she moved. She’d run this path so many times, exactly the same way she was fairly sure that she’d be able to do it with her eyes shut. The familiar path led to a place of legend. Somewhere she probably shouldn’t have come as often as she did, but who was going to stop her?
Apollo crouched and let her body fly through the air as she pushed form the ground, stretching out so her front paws gripped onto the stone of the cave, pulling herself up. Chest rising and falling, the she-wolf sat quietly, curling her tail around her body. Although she was tired from running, Apollo was shivering. There was only a light sheet of snow covering the ground but it was still enough to make the wind nip at her. It was fairly easy to calm down here, after all no body ever seemed to come by, they were either to busy, some wolfs seemed to respect it to much to come, Apollo on the other hand found it a good place to calm down, tune in with herself, meditation in a way, as long as she didn’t wreck anything she figured no one would mind. Having said that, The black wolf flopped onto the stone floor, panting , ears lying back against her skull in annoyance. The fact it was so easy for her to get angry and upset annoyed her, a lot and today was no exception.
