The breathless neophyte swerved from the alpha den -- it was dormant, empty. She would not find her answer there. No...Trianna needed the aid of powerful warriors. Wolves with claws, training, and speed. She stumbled to the central part of the camp, looking around warily at the wolves milling about. Aw, crap....well, here goes nothin'! Damn, I wish Bain or Pernille would walk in about now... She let out a series of sharp, shrill barks, beckoning the pack desperately into the clearing. "HELP! ANYBODY! C'MON, GET YOUR FAT ARSES OVER HERE!" We've got to get to the Twilight Clearing -- there's something bad going on there, I know it!

GOMG, A BISCUIT!
Ligua bounded into the clearing, knocking over something in the process. "What's going on?"
He took a few glances around, noticing the neophyte that was calling everyone else. I'll wait for the others to come, I guess. I'll get answers soon.
(Urgh.)

Trianna whirled about, eyes darting through the clearing, begging for wolves to appear. I'm just a stupid neophyte, they're never going to hear me out! Ugh, but I just have this feeling....I have to go with it! What if it's something that affects more than just one pack? Or even if it's not serious, maybe it could give us an advantage over the other packs, a time to put them in their place for all the trash they've been shooting us lately... "Ligua! Ligua --there's a battle somewhere! I heard battle howls -- I think the Twilight Clearing! B-But....I don't know where Bain or Pernille or Iver or anybody is! Please we have to see what's going on!" She rushed the warrior and began her long string of pleas, eyes fiery and burning with conviction. We have to do this!

Pernille lifted her ears as she heard the battle howls in a distance. Her pups would be neophytes now (but I need Caspian so she can help me with some things like plots). She'll try to make them neophytes but needs aproval with Iver. For right now, the battle howls. The beta ran toward the Alpha den to find Iver but found Ligua and Trianna. "I'm sorry I'm late, where's Iver? What's with the battle howls?" Pernille asked really quickly.

"Well, what are we waiting for then?" Ligua darted off into the distance, heading for the Twilight Clearing. He shouted over his shoulder at the beta, "She says there's a battle at the Twilight Clearing! I'll check it out, and if I don't return, then there's a battle..." The rest of his words were lost to the others as he headed away from the camp, but they weren't necessary anyway.
Perhaps he wasn't exactly his usual analytical self, but then again, if there was a battle, he wasn't just going to stand around while the other packs suffered.
He would deal with the possible punishment for leaving on his own later.
Well, if he didn't die or something.
(Well, Ligua's always been a bit of a loner, I guess. Wasn't sure what I was supposed to do, so he's gonna jump into the battle.)

Trianna's eyes grew wide as Ligua lept to the occasion, sprinting from the camp in declaration of battle -- what would Pernille say? She was the one left in charge now.... Trianna looked hopefully towards Pernille. "Can we send a patrol after him? What if it's something nasty -- we can't just let him run off alone, can we?" Can I go on said patrol? I've been a good little neophyte -- lately -- damnit! Gosh, Ligua, I wish I would've just darted off and figured it out like you did...

The fae just watched Ligua just went off toward the Twilight Clearing without an order or anything. She thought about the question that the neophyte asked her. "We can, but we wont. We need a patrol to go with him just in case there is a battle at the Twilight Clearing. We need at least seven wolves not including myself and Ligua. We also need our Herb Healer neophyte and someone to help her incase there is a battle and some of us gets hurt. Do you want to come?" Pernille asked Trianna.

Trianna calmed, nodding as the proxy calmly but promptly made her decision. She even cracked a small smile -- Trianna was fond of Pernille. She didn't dither around or make fancy-shmancy speeches like a lot of leaders did -- she actually got stuff done. An eager gleam twinkled in Tria's eyes as Pernille made the offer. She dipped her head excitedly, looking around for Flisk. Where's the idiot when thing's are about to get interesting?? "Of course I'll come!"
Crow, Lyell, Olive, and Saskia were huddled nearby, listening intently to the conversation between the neophyte and proxy. Crow and Saskia padded over to the two, nodding a curt greeting. "We'll come if you need warriors," Saskia barked. "Olive and Lyell want to stay back at the camp in case....well, we don't really know what's out there right now, do we?" Crow asserted.

T
he beta smiled at the young neophyte when she agreed. Pernille nodded back. "Great!" She said outloud as she got one wolf. Then four other wolves came. She had a bitter taste in her mouth when she scented Lyell. She figured it was him. After what happen. Olive on the other hand is very nice, Lyell had to be a walk-ee-talk-ee after that one meeting when she told Iver that he was having grandpups that one time. Can't let go of that though. Had to ruin it for Nightshade and Iver. "Yes, just incase something happens. I don't know what's out there and I'm sure that you wolves don't so that is a no. We don't know what's out there. I'm asuming just wolves, most likely rouges."[/blockquote]

Saskia wrinkled her nose slightly, a bit disgruntled by Pernille's sudden indecisive remarks. "Well....maybe just Crow and I could stay at the border and wait for you to either come back or howl to us for reinforcements. We could run back to the camp, pick up two or three more warriors, and get back to the clearing with help in a flash. We could monitor the border at the same time, have warriors here to protect the camp if needed, and not put anybody at a huge risk," she blinked towards Pernille hopefully. I don't like the idea of her taking just a neophyte, but I think this will work well. It'll be easy to move around and communicate, and this way no one's at a great risk and we don't have to plunge into the battle if we don't want to. Crow smiled fondly at his mate, then looked back at Pernille. "It could work really well -- a nice plan," the warrior agreed.
Behind Crow and Saskia, Lyell was calming Olive, worrying over their soon-to-be-neophyted pups. "It'll be fine, it's probably just a pack skirmish. And hey, maybe it's the Sheerans deciding to take our side of the whole pack-against-pack arguement, or maybe they found the missing wolves--" He broke off in the middle of his speech, catching sight of Pernille's gaze. He met the beta's eyes steadily, questioning and slight confusion reflecting back at her. What's her deal, geeze? What did I do to her? Olive took no notice of their odd exchange, but instead watched the nursery with a worried mother's gaze.

"No no no no, it's fine with Lyell and Olive here to guard. We need warriors though and have our healer here at the battle just in case. We need every warrior that we need to go to the battle or whatever it is because Ligua hasn't came back yet. Lyell and Olive and someone else can protect the pack grounds. Also we need to make sure that our pups don't get out or taken. I don't think that they'll run though so that shouldn't be a problem."
Pernille paused after saying all that. She didn't know what was out there till Lyell spoke about the possibilites it could be. "Maybe, just maybe. We need to leave to see what's out there."

Saskia and Crow shrugged, a bit confused. "All right, let's go, then." They waited for their leader to make the orders. Behind them, others had been congregating. Kasparr, Autumn, and Neveria padded up to the group, nervous but excited at the same time. This was the neophytes' first real battle. Trianna longed to join in there excitement, but she was mildly irritated, now. Where in Hellfire's name is Flisk? He wanted to be here, too....
