A copper and white female wolf was sitting in the grasses, enjoying the coming dusk, watching fireflies adrift. Featherswift was still checking out the pack territory for signs of danger. If she was to be a warrior she would try her best to protect those of her pack. She swiveled her ears around hearing nothing, but forest sounds and sighed. Birds were getting ready to sleep and a feather drifted down towards the ground nearby. "If a feather blown in the wind really led me into the forest for me to join the Sheeran Pack, why do I still feel out of place?," she whispered to the setting sun. This territory filled with four packs had a weird feeling for her. One of safety, but another of wonder and possibly evil? She shook her head. Featherswift had no right to question this forest or why she didn't feel at home. Plainly it wasn't her birth pack, but she had a pack and thats all that matters. "I feel out of place, yes, but I do like this pack very much," she whispered again. She began to look at the new stars and opened her muzzle and howled happily. She had a new family!

A howl cried in the distance, and her prey was running far across the moor now, a tall doe. Eurasia's teeth glistened. She had told the Pack that she was only going for a walk, but she had decided to hunt instead. It really wasn't her duty to hunt, but it is in every wolf's instincts, right? She held her grin, turning to face what had lost her prey, a happy copper and white wolf howling in the distance. A new member, because the face was not familiar to her. Even though Eurasia had only lived in the Pack a few days, she still felt like she knew every wolf in the Pack. As she trotted to the wolf, still with a trace of loner scent on her fur, Eurasia twitched her nose in amusement. The wolf was talking to itself. Wanting to make a new friend, Eurasia eagerly bounded to the wolf, but serious. "I know what you're thinking. It is very tough to make room for your self, isn't it?" Before waiting for a response, she kept talking. "I know how you feel. My name is Eurasia, the new herb healer of the Sheeran Pack. I was once a loner too." She grinned and sat down by the wolf.

Suddenly Featherswift heard paws and leaves crackling towards her and she turned towards the sound to face another wolf, one of her pack. "I know what you're thinking. It is very tough to make room for your self, isn't it?" Before waiting for a response, the wolf kept talking. "I know how you feel. My name is Eurasia, the new herb healer of the Sheeran Pack. I was once a loner too." She grinned and sat down by the Featherswift.
Featherswift was startled by how fast Eurasia had introduced herself and explained that she was a herb healer and like her in a way. She looked at the Eurasia and grinned back, realizing this wolf must have heard her talk to herself and put down her ears in embarressment. Featherswift was still trying to get over this habit. "Hello Eurasia, my name is Featherswift. I'm glad to finally meet Sheeran Packs herb healer. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that has felt like this," she replied to the new wolf getting over her embarrassment and wagging her tail slightly.

"Mhm!" Eurasia laughed slightly. "Actually, you're not the only once loner. Several wolves actually came from the loner lands. And, oh darling, no need to be embarrassed. I've scared away several amounts of prey by talking to myself. 'Okay, now, Eurasia, just sneak up without a sound...' 'Oh you idiot, you're making noise right now!' " HAHAHA! She laughed at herself loosely. Eurasia had never felt like this before, with another wolf. So far almost no one had accepted her in the Sheeran Pack, and right now she felt like she had a true friend. "I am so delighted to meet you, Featherswift. It's lovely isn't it?" She flicked her tail to the moor beyond. Eurasia sighed in happiness, now that she had the perfect job, home, and friend. And in accident, but total comfort, Eurasia hummed her favorite tune, a song she heard a blackbird sing, a melody to her ears. She layed down on her back, ears pricked and ready to listen to Featherswift, but her whole body relaxed in the soft grass. Closing her eys, Eruasia drifted into black, but still aware of the companion by her side.
Moonset had been keeping her eyes on the mangy, ugly brown wolf who claimed to be the herb healer, and just recently she found her den empty. The loner was out somewhere, and Moonset wanted to make sure that the wolf wasn't just a spy helping the other loners learn about the camp. But as she walked through the moor, she picked up Eurasia's scent, and looking around she spotted TWO wolves sitting in the grass, talking to one another. "What ARE you doing?!" She howled outraged, as if she were alphess. The wolf never came to her liking, and never would. Moonset decided, whether her life depended on it or not, that she WOULD NOT accept Eurasia, and definatly NOT leave her life in Eurasia's hands. The loner was no good to the Pack, and putting a wolf like this in a rank of power was only dangerous. "I said WHAT ARE YOU DOING, EURASIA!" growling, now.

Featherswift listened to Eurasia and her heart lifted. She wasn't the "only one" and others also talked to themselves. She felt very comfortable with this wolf who smelled lightly of herbs. "It's lovely isn't it?," Eurasia asked her. Featherswift looked to where Eurasia indicated and nodded. "It defiantly is. I never thought it would be like this," she answered. She now had friend for sure she hoped so she relaxed a little more.
Suddenly she heard leaves rustle behind her and she swiveled her ears and looked to see another wolf come towards them, and it looked angry. Startled, Featherswift listened to the newcomer. "What ARE you doing?!" the wolf howled outraged then before any wolf could answer the wolf said,"I said WHAT ARE YOU DOING, EURASIA!" growling, now. Featherswift was shocked. Never had any wolf talked to her like this when they were not alpha. She looked at Eurasia, her fur starting to bristle. She knew very well not to answer for she would be yelled at too no doubt.

"I..." The pesky wolf was at it again. Moonset, the wolf she had met at boundaries, had never accepted her when she became herb healer. Now the wolf would do anything to get Eurasia kicked out of the camp. Eurasia growled, ready to defend herself. "Spying aren't you?" Moonset hollered. Eurasia had no point in defending herself, because Moonset would not believe her. As Eurasia's face fell, Moonset's green eyes sparkled with victory. Tail held straight out now, Eurasia pricked her ears forwards and showed her gleaming white fangs, the teeth of a vicious killer. And before long, she was in full defense pose, looking more ferocious than planned. She growled, letting out a howl of fury, so high it peirced even her own ears, and lunged forwards, not hitting the hazel wolf yet. "Featherswift, if you would be so kind to..."
Snap! Moonset bit hard into Eurasia's leg, a clear violation of the Pack rules. Moonset had attacked a Pack member, the HERB HEALER. In outrage, Eurasia let out a yowl of pain, barking vigorously at Moonset. What would happen now? Her mind spinned, and the last thing she saw was blood oozing from her leg, and a blur of copper and white. "Feathe--" And she hit the ground with a thud, but still conscience.

Featherswift watched as Eurasia turned into a defensive posture as she said,"Spying aren't you?". Then new wolf eyes were looking at Eurasia as if she was mouse just caught by a cat. Then Eurasia growled at leaped at the wolf howling,"Featherswift, if you would be so kind to..." She never finished and all that was heard after was a sickening snap. The new wolf had bitten Eurasia's leg. Featherswift looked at the wolf completely confused. "Why was a pack member harming another," she thought.
Eurasia was yowling in pain while barking as blood flowed from the bite. She fell to the ground saying, "Feathe.." Featherswift leaped to her new friend sniffing the wound and whimpering,"Eurasia?!" Featherswift looked at the wolf, who had wounded Eurasia, and perked her ears foreward. "Why did you hurt her?," she growled. No pack member ever did this unless necessary and what had Eurasia done? Featherswift shifted her body, protecting her pack member, her first friend.

Eurasia groaned helplessly. "I'm okay," But her head was spinning. Just because a wolf bit her doesn't neccessarily mean she has to faint like that. The sight of blood, oozing out of her shin was sickening, to her at least. Her weakness as a herb healer; blood was her biggest fear. It made her woozy. As her vision continued to blur and her leg started to bleed more slowly, she forced herself to open her eyes more. Featherswift was in a defensive pose above her, with a guarding look in her eyes, and Moonset was face to face with the copper and white wolf. "St-stop, Featherswift, it's time some one realized that I don't belong here." She eyed Moonset, her expession vague but still furious. Eurasia stood up, her leg throbbing. "The Pack needs to know the truth." And with those words, Moonset smiled a feindish grin. "It's about time." She growled. "You loners don't get it. I kept your secret, Eurasia, and you don't even thank me. Well at least you'll be telling this to Yago, and everyone else, because after that you won't be staying here for long. Your relations with the demons are finally discovered."

"I'm okay," Eurasia told Featherswift as she lay on the ground. She looked at the herb healer who was trying to open her eyes. Relief swam over her, but still she kept vigilant. The next words Eurasia uttered struck her,"St-stop, Featherswift, it's time some one realized that I don't belong here." Her ears drooped and she cocked her head, but did as she was told and moved aside a little. Featherswifts eyes though kept looking at the wolf who had attacked. "The Pack needs to know the truth," Eurasia said while the other wolf smiled a feindish grin. "It's about time." the wolf growled. "You loners don't get it. I kept your secret, Eurasia, and you don't even thank me. Well at least you'll be telling this to Yago, and everyone else, because after that you won't be staying here for long. Your relations with the demons are finally discovered."
She felt a chill crawl up her fur at the mention of the demons of hellfire. Featherswift growled lowly,"What do you mean relations with demons, wolf?" She looked at Eurasia confused then at the other,"What is your name and right to accuse a herb healer of this?"

"Moonset, even though it isn't your buisness." She replied lowly. "Who are you to defend Eurasia? You're only a loner." "Not true." Eurasia growled at Moonset, "Featherswift is a member of the Sheeran Pack." "She doesn't smell like it." "That's because she's new." "She's probably a demon. You know what they smell like." Moonset barked the sharp retort with a menicingly look. And with a pause, and a calm look, Eurasia spoke.
"Yes, I do. And Featherswift smells nothing like one." And with that, Eurasia gave her whole life away. She had admitted that she had relations with Hellfirians, just to protect her new friend, and for sure she would be thrown away from the Packs. Or even worse, killed. Eurasia thought she felt a hint of guilt in her chest, but her voice welled with pride as she continued. "...But by relations with Hellfire is over. I believe my power could help the Pack to scent out demons, and I know what can save any wolf who becomes possessed with one." No wolf knew that she had just recently save Halo, a cowardly but ambitious wolf from a demon whom possessed him not long ago. Halo had knocked her out with great streangth by thrusting her agianst a wall, and he was able to controll himself by remembering what she said that day. She also easily recognized the taste of his blood and stench of fire coming from him that day in her nightmares, the smell of a Hellfire wolf. A small shiver ran down her spine, and she could almost hear the shrieks and crys of pain and the meniacal laughter and hollering of pure fury from the Dusk Dens all the way to where she stood.

Featherswift listened intently to the wolves. The new wolf she found out was called Moonset. It seemed to her that Moonset was a coward, one that probably told lies to get someone in trouble."She's probably a demon. You know what they smell like." Moonset barked the sharp retort with a menicingly look at Eurasia. Featherswift bristled with fury. How dare she call her a demon! She was what Eurasia had said and that was all. When she was about to reply Eurasia said,"Yes, I do. And Featherswift smells nothing like one." Featherswift nodded slowly. At least Eurasia didn't mistrust her, but how did she know what a demon smelt like? "...But by relations with Hellfire is over. I believe my power could help the Pack to scent out demons, and I know what can save any wolf who becomes possessed with one," Eurasia continued. At this Featherswift looked at her friend. She had openly admitted to being with the demons that haunted the darkness and fire. Eurasia had also said she could help anyone who became possessed by one and at this Featherswift began to feel a hint of pride towards Eurasia. This wolf was not scared of the pack and what they would do to her, but would only think of the good things she had done while wronging.
Featherswift noticed Eurasia's fur prickle at what she had said. Apparently that evil pack still scared her and should. Featherswift took a step towards Moonset, ears perked. "What she says is true. I have just joined Sheeran Pack and I must admit that I still smell a little of loner. Moonset, instead of trying to rat one out to our pack think of your concisqunces as well. If you have been watching Eurasia this whole time then your just as guilty and now even more so. You did nothing to stop her and now that you have you have injured a fellow pack member," she told Moonset keeping her eyes level with the wolf. "Instead of telling the pack of all the wrong Eurasia has done why not tell them of what she has found out. We probably will find out more about them and now we have information to help those possessed. I know one thing though, we will need as much help we can get. I can feel a heavy weight in this forest and tensions are going to break as it has done now. This just helps the evil ones, am I correct?," Featherswift ended. In her pack as a pup she was known to think out things that others had missed when angry and thus this added the end of her name. Swiftly to act in any term.

Moonset gazed into the wolf's eyes. "Who are you to tell me this? You have less experience then me, so why should I listen to you? Bah!" Moonset knew the copper and white wolf was trying to make a point, a wise one, only Featherswift had no idea what Moonset's whole life had been like. Orphaned as a pup, meeting a wild pack, finding a mate and having children when her "ex" was trying to kill her all the while, then running away to meet the Sheeran Pack instead. Not to mention all the lives she'd saved, fights she'd won and lost, and life threatning situations she'd gone through. Moonset was a loyal, beautiful, trustworthy wolf, and the last thing she wanted to do was put her Pack in danger as she did with the wild pack in the forest. She had been alphess before, and she abandonned them, and she didn't want to make another mistake like that. She had always been fiesty, but warmhearted and blissful. Loving, caring, joyful and sensitive, but her protective side showed more that often. A question did linger in her mind, though, Why did this wolf want to protect Eurasia so much? If the copper and white wolf was new to the Pack, they must have known eachother in loner days, or pup-hood. At least, that's what they acted like. But she was dependent on this argument, and Nylon always told Moonset to never back down from a fight. "Listen, you, Eurasia has a power that could hurt us all. Unless you know her well enough to prove that she's a loyal and trustworthy wolf I won't believe a word you say to defend her. Eurasia doesn't belong here," Moonset spoke as if Eurasia wasn't even there, "She's flea coated, mangy, and can't be tursted. When I met this wolf at the borders she was talking to a Hell fire wolf, so I chased her off. Now she's back here as Herb healer, a rank of power. So if you are new to the pack as you say, don't act like a smart wolf who 'knows-it-all'. You don't have any experience to know what this Pack is like, so be quiet and stay out of the way for the first few weeks if you want to be a real Sheeran."

Featherswift listened to Moonset and lowly growled as she called her a know it all and all she had done was try to help. Then before this she had called Eurasia mangy, flea coated, and that she could not be trusted. It seemed to her that Moonset was these things more so because she had broken the trust she had for the wolf as soon as she had bit Eurasia against all codes. "I do not need to stay quite to be a Sheeran only thing I need is the heart to be," seh replied glaring at the wolf. "I accept that Eurasia has done wrong. I know how bad this is Moonset. I do not have less experience in this subject pack member," she said and looked at the ground. She thought back to her pup hood pack and many a time patrols. Her pack had sometimes smelled fire coming from this direction and once one of the evil ones had come into the forest seeking blood, but vanished soon after. Whatever Moonset's past was she did not need to know to understand her hate towards hell fire. Featherswift looked at the herb healer quizzacly. "Eurasia are you true to your word that your not of evil? Is it wrong to presume to defend you to openly?," she said, her fur laying down again as this subject no longer scared her, but made her said. If Eurasia was not true to the pack and her status then her friend would be dead to her. Her loyalty was to her pack and it's members, not to Hell Fire and all it's inhabitants. "I am a real Sheeran as Moonset would call it and will stick by it's laws, but also help those in need. I feel no guilt in helping her," she thought.

Eurasia was shocked at Featherswift's question, and her past was quickly falshing before her eyes. All the friends she had lost because of being a fun and carefree loner had caused the death of her friend, and turning her into a well obtained and rule obeying wolf. Of course, the answer to her question was Yes, but Eurasia did not say this outloud. Moonset looked calmer now, but still gazed at Eurasia with mistrust and unacceptance. But as Eurasia looked at her foolish past, and the ache of loosing a friend because of her own behavior, she realized what she must do. When she looked at Featherswift, images of the past still faded in her mind, she didn't want to hurt Featherswift by becoming friends now and later having their whole realtionship ruined because of Eurasia's mistakes. No, too many friends lost that way, it was better just not to make any friends at all. One last look at Moonset--feeling that she had the right answer because of this hazel wolf--and a few stiffled sighs, Eurasia spoke.
"Maybe it's best if you just go back to camp Featherswift. And not a word about today."

"Maybe it's best if you just go back to camp Featherswift. And not a word about today," Eurasia answered to Featherswift. She shifted her paws under Eurasia's gaze and her ears drooped. She wanted to prove to everyone she wouldn't back down when anyone was in trouble especially now that her friend was bleeding. "Is that a suggestion or order?," she questioned.
