((“hell, woman, we don’t know what we’re doing” LOL XD)
For a second there, Flame was positive that their cause was lost. Her eyes were wide and fearful as Lupus and Rhain’s features came into clear view, and she had practically accepted their fate as reality when Rhain launched toward the pair. Not wanting to watch, Flame closed her eyes tightly and waited for the impact of either Rhain or her father to pin her to the ground. Nothing happened. She opened a cautionary eye. I haven’t been tackled yet? She instantly noticed a band of light radiating from their ritualistic pyre, and that the pulsating ring had formed a barricade to prevent either Lupus or Rhain from advancing any further. Wow. It actually worked! Startled out of her inner doubts and her subsequent astonishment, Flame angled her ears toward Death and blocked out the snarls of the others. “Another chant? Umm… sure, I can make one up, I guess…” She closed her eyes, attempting to summon the right words to craft a decent incantation.
Skidding to a halt after Rhain was repelled from their targets, Lupus practically slammed into the outer shell of the ring, snarling at the wolves within. “Death! Flame! Enough with this nonsense! Stop now of your own accord, and we’ll forgive you! If you don’t, we’ll do whatever is necessary…” He fumed silently, glaring at the protective shield before casting a sideways glance at Rhain. What are we going to do now? his expression seemed to ask.
Unnerved by the yelling of the outsiders, Flame shook her head hopelessly and quickly slurred out an incantation. Hopefully, it’ll be good enough. “The elements are in their place Rushing air and sweet embrace Of water, earth, lupine, and fire Help us do what we desire!” After finishing, she shrugged in Death’s direction with a that’s all I could think of look on her face.

Death opened one eye, blinking at Flame increduously, completely ignoring Rhain and Lupus now. Okay, how come the poetical thing works for her and not for me? I'm gonna have to have a chat with Poetical Deity someday.... "It's brilliant...now what---woahh!" Death looked down at his paws, now of a translucent consistency. The light that ringed them seemed pass through him, a gentle but firm caress across his skin. He looked back at Lupus and Rhain, enraged, confused, distraught. He smiled at them. It was an odd thing to do, and it probably looked creepy, seeing as the red hue of his eyes never really faded into anything normal. Probably looked like a murderous mastermind. But nonetheless, he smiled his best reassuring smile, then turned to Flame, grinning wider with the whites of his fangs. "Captain, we have liftoff."
Rhain watched bewildered, hurt, confusied as the two seemed to reach a state of levitation. More words of incantation came from Flame, but Rhain couldn't make them out. She only watched, tearful, torn, uncertain as two wolves she viewed as her family parted from her. Why are they going back? What did we do? What should we have done. "We'll follow them. We can't go back as specters...but we can reach them in dreams. We'll follow them" she woofed fiercely.

Not long ago, Flame had been casually strolling through the Twilight Realm, carelessly scenting the ripened perfection of the wind as it caressed her nostrils that Spring night. The next moment, she had been speaking to her brother, wanting to exchange friendly words and get caught up on old times. And now she was levitating. My life is a giant non sequitur. Rotating her arms like a pinwheel in a hurricane for a few seconds (she could no longer see her paws), Flame soon realized that it was all a normal reaction of the incantation at work. Well, ‘normal’ given the circumstances, that is. She looked to Death, and reflected his grin with a triumphant gleam in her eyes. We did it! It’s working!
Lupus uttered a few distasteful curses, but eventually retreated a step when he saw the two wolves fading into the air. He nodded at Rhain’s suggestion, but continued to glare at the wolves he had brought into existence. “Hopefully, we’ll be able to convince them to reverse this in their dreams. Otherwise, or options seem to be limited,” he murmured, breaking his stare away from his children long enough to share a glance with his mate.

Death gave the Twilight Realm one last good look, then closed his eyes, knowing privately he wouldn't miss it much. Heaven, for all of it wonders and lusturs, had bored him. It was an odd thing to say, since most wolves who had rested there as long as he had found it a peaceful style of existence, or found something in it that kept them interested, happy, that kept them occuppied. Maybe because this isn't my final rest...because we still have things to do on earth. Maybe when you find your final rest, heaven becomes more appropriate...or maybe it just isn't the same without knowing you would be in Hellfire otherwise. He closed his eyes and waited for the earth to great them again.
Rhain watched as they dispersed, torn between tears and attacking a tree with anger. Instead of either extreme, she sat next to Lupus and returned his glance. "Confused..." she murmured. "I wish that wasn't such and understatement...maybe we can change their minds, or at least learn what drove them to this. We can watch them, too, maybe...though they aren't as solid as other wolves, it would appear."

((do we rp Death and Flame in a different thread now, or…?))
Sharing a final glance at the world around her, Flame felt the suctioning of a different reality stinging at her face. In moments, her entire body was engulfed into oblivion, having been transported into the living realm to face life as a specter. Should it have been strange? Probably. But Flame found it oddly surreal, as if she were standing on the sidelines and watching it all happen, and finding herself unfazed by the happenings. Somehow, everything seemed normal. Wow. Only in my family could something like this be on the itinerary for the day. But it sure beats the heck out of doing nothing! And she was gone.
Lupus had lowered his head in a solemn gesture, appearing more somber than furious at the apparent betrayal of his children. It was odd, really; Lupus was infamous for his temper. But for the moment, there didn’t appear to be anything left to say, and Lupus’ tongue was dry of words regardless. Finally summoning up splintered fragments of vocabulary, Lupus nodded glumly and offered a reply. “Looks like the only thing we can do. If we tried to follow as specters, it would probably cause an even bigger ruckus. Hopefully, we’ll get filled in as time goes on… who knows. Maybe they’ll surprise us with a good explanation.”

Rhain dipped her head solemnly. "I suppose you're right. And it's not like we really know what they were doing, anyway. I don't think we could follow them if we tried," she woofed, mind buzzing. "Should we tell anyone? They're bound to found out eventually....or maybe wait until we find them in dreams tonight? So we have more information?" That seemed like the logical thing to do. The others have to know sometime soon....but Lupus is right. What if we're wrong about them or something?
((I suppose so....where do you want them to magically pop up? xD ))

((maybe the Twilight Lake? The clearing is too crowded with battling wolfies, and it would be kind of ironic that they drowned in water, and then returned by water x3))
Lupus stepped closer to his mate, his eyes unlocking from the empty space where his children had once stood. Nearly brushing his pelt against hers, he settled his gaze on her face, and nodded. “We’ll inform the others after the dreams. Best to wait until we have both sides of the story before we create mass panic.” He almost smirked a little at his last statement, but suppressed the urge, knowing that it was no time to smile. Mass panic in heaven? A little ironic, really…
