The warrior held only a few battle scars, but the corpse across her shoulders was an insignia for more pain than she physically could show. Her eyes watered slightly, hot burning tears on her lids, but she held herself together. The appearence of ghostly enemies -- though she had never encountered Blood Mist, as some called them, other wolves had recognized them -- and the betrayal of their new healer left her shaken, it left every witness shaken. And what was more, a Yozoran mother had died trying to save her daughter from a Hellfirian kidnapper. Missing had been taken by one such wraith. The toll the packs were paying was abnormally high. "Yago?" Luma called into the alpha's den. "Yago, there was a development at the Twilight Clearing.....Moonset is dead, Eurasia killed her."

"...Moonset is dead, Eurasia killed her..."
Hearing those words, Yago perked up immediately, not believing her ears. She herself had given Eurasia one of the highest positions of the pack and she betrayed it? No, no way she would do something like this. It must've been a mistake. Yago started to growl. "Why did she kill her? What was going on in the Clearing?" Everything seemed to go blank as she thought about what she had done. The rest of the pack was right, it was wrong to trust a loner. I can't believe I risked a member's life like this. How could I be so blind?

Luma dipped her head solemnly. "Moonset was hunting, patroling -- doing something of that sort -- near the Twilight Clearing when she saw wolves fighting and went back for help. Eurasia and a few others went with her, I believe. I saw them leave and got curious, so I followed their scents and saw a huge fight in the clearing -- it was mainly Siverians and....and what some were calling Hellfirians -- Hellfire specters. They were wolves who matched the descriptions of enemies from old legends and tales of Blood Mist days, only living once more. I saw Eurasia attack Moonset and came back for more help. I wanted to find you, but I was afraid Eurasia would overpower Moonset.....she did. I was too late." She hung her head shamefully. "The Yozorans joined the battle a little before I arrived and saw Moonset dead. Eurasia was subdued by warriors, but I'm not sure if she ran off or died or what happened. I came back here to find you. The Destinians came in just as I was leaving, I don't know how much longer the battle will last now that all four packs are there. The missing wolves from the packs were there, though, so I suppose there is no quarrel with the Yozorans. In fact, a Yozoran warrior, an older one by the name of Saskia was downed in the fight as well. Some of the Hellfirians took prisoners from the fight, she died trying to stop them. One of our neophytes was among the taken -- Missing." She finished her report, eyes tearful once more. She blinked up to Yago with hurt and confusion in her youthful gaze.

Yago sighed. "Is Eurasia working for them?" she asked, mainly talking to herself. I hope that loner is dead now. I must be the worst leader ever, letting a loner be Herb Healer. Who does that anyway? "Should've asked what Pyre thought about her. It's too late now. Ah, I don't know what to do now; how many others of our pack is missing." She blinked, thinking of what else she heard. "Do you know where the missing wolves were when they were...missing?"

Luma frowned sadly at her alphess. She seems to be taking the news hard....well, so are all of us. Nobody was expecting any of this, it was impossible to predict.... "Missing is the only Sheeran gone....one of the Yozoran neophytes...and a young Siverian warrior," she barked. Now it looks really suspicious....sure, the Destinians arrived, but why so late? And none of their wolves were taken...it's like they're trying to pawn off their own secrets onto the Yozorans. "I'm not sure the exact details -- they were there when the battle broke out, though. So I suppose somwhere relatively near the clearing....though I can't imagine how that could be without someone running into them. The Siverian healer was badly mangled, I think she was missing a leg, but that wound wasn't fresh. The other, the Yozoran warrior, was mauled, too, though he still had his appendages in tact."

"Aw man," said Yago as she lay down on the ground. "This is terrible. The lives of many wolves will be lost tonight." I don't know what to do anymore, she wanted to say. It felt like she was never meant to be leader now. "Well, something's going on and I want you, if you can, to acquire as much information as possible. Something not right is going on." Sheerans, Yozorans, Siverians... "Any Destinian wolf harmed?"
