She led her pack from their terras around the mountain bases in a silent procession, senses alert to the energized forest around her. The stillness never lasted for more than a few moments as the creatures of the woodlands paused to asses the scene for themselves. Similarly, Fireflight padded at the head of the Destinians with eyes that never stopped watching. They caught on every aspect and detail of the passing forest, though her pace was a brisk one. Ahead, the trees fanned out into a mouth and opened into the cavity of the Twilight Clearing. A barrage of aromas greeted her, none fresh, but a week or so stale. Faint as they were, it was all to easy for her to picture the thrasing wolves at her shoulders and she strode down the slope. She glanced back at the Destinians, as they filed in as the first pack arrived. There has not been a meeting for a long time. This may shape our futures for many moons to come...

Melina swallowed. Her pack had all assembled behind her and she had led them to the Twilight Clearing successfully. She looked into her beta's eyes lightly before licking her lips and plunging into the Twilight clearing. Only the Destinians had arrived, she concluded. Good. She wasn't late. Her fur was neatly assembled and licked clean, the crisp tan cream colorred fur laying nicely. A light breeze ruffled her fur, but all she could think about was how the packs would take her leadership. She was going to announce it tonight. Not knowing how to do a moonless meeting very well left Melina uncomfortable. She hoped she wouldn't make any mistakes. With a sigh, she began to mingle with the Destinians. Light talk was all she made, questions about the battle were answered. The breeze came again. Stomach swirling with butterflies, she ended at Fireflight. Smiling warmly, she coughed and spoke with a slightly quivering voice.
"Greetings Fireflight. How have the Destinians fared since the battle?"
She sounded like an alpha but did not care, for she was a proud one at that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Raffa filed in with the rest of the Destinians. His tail did not wag. His gaze of hatred did not falter. Positioned on Fireflight he furrowed his brow angrily and sat at the edge of the clearing, away from any bothersome wolves. He looked up to the sky and thought silently inside his head. I won't disappoint you Bain. Someday these packs could be destroyed. They will! With pursed lips, Raffa watched a small Siverian neophyte parade over proudly. With a snarl, Raffa sent the new neophyte scampering back to his pack to hide behind one of the older warriors. Withdrawing his fangs, he waited for the meeting to begin.
Fireflight gazed on as she watched her pack mingle with the newly arrived Siverians. She scanned the crowd for Nightshade, tail twitching anxiously when she couldn't find the uniquely colored femme. Typically, she stuck out in a crowd like a sore paw. Fireflight's eyes grew curious and sparked with interest when she caught sight of an unfamiliar Siverian leading the pack. As Melina padded towards her, she addressed in a manner of alpha-to-alpha. Fireflight raised a brow, tail lifted and wagging just a slight wave, then laying flat once more. "Greetings to you as well," she woofed evenly. She winced when the female mentioned the battle. "Our arrival was too late, unfortunately. We suffered no serious blows, just a few scratches and bites. Nothing out of the norm," she barked. Hey, for once, I'm being completely honest and not sugar-coating anything.... "May I ask your name?" She woofed. So the Siverians finally have a new alpha....it's been to long. If she is the alpha, as she appears to be, it will mean our packs are growing stronger. This is good....it's not only the Destinians at risk by our new enemies...nor will we be able to withstand Blood Mist alone. No wolf pack in our history ever has.
------------------------------
Breeze, Tatiana, and Etheris padded into the clearing along with the other mass of Destinians. It appeared all of the Desitnian neophytes were there....all except for one. Phobia. She entered the clearing alone, eyes narrowed, darting around her in constant watching. She did not appear to be looking for anything in particular, but rather maintaining a steady suspicion of every wolf around her.
-----------------------------
Annelise grew impatient as the Siverians arrived second, desperate to speak with Shade. He probably won't even be at this meeting, he's too injured, and probably wants rest. The only reason I'm here, besides looking for him, is so I can help Melina tell my story. She strode over to Melina and Fireflight, dipping her head respectfully to the alphas, then taking a place besides Melina. She kept a constant outpost for Shade, her stomach twisting uncomfortably. I never got to tell him...
Chicken Muffin quietly made her way in, and sat down without so much as a glance in the other wolves' direction. She had a stomach ache and everything just seemed so much worse when your insides felt like they were on fire and eating themselves at the same time. "Ugmh" She murmured, voice below a whisper. It would be good for her to simply get it over with so she could go and lie on her back somewhere waiting until she stopped feeling so crappy. As important as meetings were during a time like this, she just couldn't bring herself to be alert.
[ I was tempted to make this ridiculous by having Iver suddenly burst out of the nearest body of water or some random dark corner. But with exams I won't be able to keep replying. Good luck with the meeting though, guys! <3 ]
Melina nodded gently at Fireflight's honest reply. Her pelt prickling with anxiety of what was to come, the new alphess absentmindly pawed the ground. Her big sparkling eyes darted back and forth, watching the other packs mingle with ease. It seemed that all was right after the battle, yet she couldn't forget the words that the dark wolf had said to her the night of the battle. Something like...the Siverians will suffer first. She shuddered clearly, then composed herself as she woofed out an answer to the other alpha's question.
"I am Melina. As you can probably tell, I'm making a huge annoucement tonight."
She faked a smile as her belly did somersaults. Her eyelashes fluttered as she blinked the anxiety away. She was obviously nervous and obviously trying to hide it. Fail.
Fireflight nodded evenly, knowing well that Melina would wish to announce more of her sudden leadership when the actual meeting started. Fireflight settled back, senses alert for the arrivals of the other packs. We have so much to discuss tonight...changes are coming to the forest. I don't think anybody saw these things coming...(really crappy post, but I don't know what else to write until Nighty and Acca post w. the Yozorans and Sheerans )
(I have pretty much nothing to say. ) Nectar filed in with the rest of the Siverians, her eyes nervously watching a Destinian wolf who was snarling at a neophyte. She made a mental note not to get too close to that wolf. The forest rustled around her, and her eyes darted around the woods as well, almost expecting wolves to burst out of the woods and attack. Of course, there's probably no need to be scaring myself already... I'll probably faint or something when the Yozorans or Sheerans come out of the woods if I keep thinking like this.--- Shaw trodded in a little late behind most of the other Siverians. His leg hurt a bit, but that wasn't why he was lateish. He had been delayed by unknown forces. Dramatic. Anyway, he didn't have much to do, so he just settled down somewhere. Hopefully some pup wouldn't try to attack him or anything. He didn't want to die. :<
Euphrates paused to roll his shoulders, stretching in preparation for the lupine gathering ahead. He glanced around him, his eyes lingering on Fireflight for a moment, and noted the arrival of the Siverians. It looks like the Siverians have a new alphess. Continuing his silent observations, his gaze skimmed Raffa—who appeared rather angry—and he took a silent role call. He frowned, however, when one particular wolf failed to be accounted for. Where is Toss? He’s the Beta, he’s always here… were his injuries deeper than I thought? Unnerved but unwilling to make a fuss, Euphrates joined Rapier in sitting near the front of the crowd, awaiting the meeting ahead. I’ll let Fireflight know about Toss when I get the chance, if she doesn’t figure it out on her own—which won’t be hard. It’s hard to forget about that crazy old wolf.
Trailing behind Melina, Magic angled his ears toward Annelise, watching as she settled beside the alphesses. She’s certainly grown up… which reminds me, I healed her Yozoran friend, didn’t I? I wonder if he’s faring well… The ebony male glanced over his shoulder, wondering if Shade was even well enough to travel in his condition.
Lance and Kar joined the throng of wolves that were gathering in the center of the clearing, each wolf patterned with fresh scars from the recent battles. Kar spotted his sister, smiled warmly in her direction, and seated himself. Lance sat beside him, murmuring small talk to his packmate while they awaited the main event.
Pernille led the pack to the clearing and looked around, there was a pack missing, the Sheerians. They must be on their way for sure cause they are normally never late for a single meeting. She looked at the other packs, last time that she went to a meeting, they all hated this pack for thinking that they did something with the missing wolves. That was a stupid decision for occusing a pack that they don't even know anything about it. Oh well. Pernille knew that Iver would be like, I told you it wasn't us you stupid wolves! She wouldn't say mean things to wolves that she hardly know that much. They should appologize though.
[/color][/blockquote] ((OOC: Ummm.... I'm going to be gone for about a month in Canada so... I'm gonna let either Wolfie control Pernille till I'm back with pictures of Alaska and CANADA (also bringing back Canadian bacon, but other there it's just bacon.) This doesn't apply till MONDAY!))
((Um....okay, Wolfie, can Milo lead the Sheerans in for now?))
Kasparr and Autumn padded into the clearing, unacompanied by either their grief-wrecked father or their irate sister, Crow or Trianna. Autumn held a limp, and she was supported on her brother's broad shoulders. They looked around for the other neophytes. Autumn spotted Raffa and nodded in his direction. The brother and sister made their way sluggishly towards the Destinian neophyte, their pace painfully slow with Autumn's limp. "Hello," Autumn barked to Raffa, her voice small, shy. "I'm Autumn, and this is Kasparr, we're Yozoran neophytes. I was wondering if you could tell us what you saw of the kidnapping wolves at the battle? My sister was taken, we're trying to figure out how exactly it happened so we can go and rescue them!" I know how it happened. I just want to make sure every other wolf in this clearing does, too. My mother will not go ignored and unavenged.
