(Me and Slip did a thread before this. mysticsiv.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=yozoranhealer&action=display&thread=4248&page=1) Vivchi slowly hobbled into the Sleeping Caves, exhausted. She never got a hold of Poppy Seeds, but she didn't need them anymore. The adrenaline of today was no longer pumping through her blood, and at any moment the drowsiness that pulled on her would make her collapse where she stood, asleep. There wasn't even a drop of energy left in her, but as she layed down, she struggled to hold consciousness, eye closed. Her paw wasn't hurting nearly as much as before, considering that Slip had given her Nettle leaves to reduce the swelling, and this made it easier to sleep. Vivichi didn't even know when she had, but all she knew was that it was sunset, and when she opened her eyes it was Twilight. An extremely heavy exhaustion pulled on her to go back to sleep, but this time she resisted, barely, and looked around. Was Jolon back yet? He slept in the same cave as her, but it was so large and dark she could hardly see anything. Vivi was curled up at the entrance where the stars and moon shone down a silver light, but the rest of the cave was silouets of sleeping wolves. Maybe someone wasn't asleep, though, and Vivchi forcevly stood up. Why was she excited to see Jolon? Sure, he'd made her day the best ever, and he was now her best friend, but the last thing she wanted to do was talk to him with nothing to say except "I'm so tired!". Trying not to make a scene for how she'd suddenly stood in the cave, Vivichi trotted outside to stare at the stars with her one eye. There, she rolled on her back and stared up, perfectly ready to fall asleep where she was, but held on to the lazy feeling of being awake. Her thoughts wandered slowly, each one trailing off into "I'm so tired." (yeah...)

Jolon had been in the woods outside of camp. He'd been patrolling while thinking about today. Vivi had went to their new healer and hopefully she was feeling better by now. The night had fallen before he knew it and the moon rose it all its glory while stars shone like ice. Everything was cooling off from the hot day and crickets started to sound. His amber eyes pierced through the darkness of the night that melted around him, blending with his fur with just moonlight highlighting where his fur was. His paws finally carried him back to camp, wondering if Vivichi would be asleep by now....maybe by poppy seeds? When he reached the the clearing towards the dens he noticed a fae laying down outside them. Her scent came to him and told him that it was his friend. The friend that helped him now feel like he fit in. So she wasn't asleep yet. Lifting his paws out of the treeline he came towards her. Then he put his head in front of her view of the moon and stars, his eyes glowing. "How are you, Vivi?," he asked.
((Yeah I read that one ^^ Another thread yeah!))

"AHH!" Vivi said startled. After she'd recognized Jolon, Vivichi started to chuckle. He was so sneaky. "Well, hello Jolon." She said quietly but audible. The drowsiness wouldn't dissapear, but the adrenaline she got from Jolon being there kept her awake. His eyes were glowing like two harvest moon, and his face was happy and breezy. She couldn't imagine why any wolves wouldn't like him. It all seemed like nonsense to her. "I'm fine, thanks. You?" Her low volume radiating a hapy tone as she stared into his harvest moons with her one eye. Now she wasn't even scared to look him into the eyes, in fact, she wasn't scared to look anyone in the eyes, because now she knew one wolf saw her for her inner beauty and didn't even care about her external flaws. It was a new Vivi, though she couldnt' be any happier than she already was her whole life, but she was perfectly comfortable with her self. Before she'd been very self conscious, and now she didn't have a care in the world about how she looked. Vivichi was still on her back, staring up into those amber eyes, the pulling weight of sleepiness being matched by a pushing wieght of adrenaline. Patiently she awaited Jolon's reply.
(Vivi kind of reminds me of a teenage girl, always self conscious of her looks but still happy and golucky. Until she meets that one person, or in this case, wolf who thinks of her for her inner beauty and they become her best friend. XD)

Jolon couldn't help it he chuckled at the way she startled to see him there. His fur was great to hide him and the faces of other pack members when they saw him come out of nowhere amused him. She looked tired to him, but she said she was alright now. She must have gotten something for the paw to stop throbbing so much and he was glad. He also noticed she looked him in the eyes this time instead of trying to hide that she had no eye on one side. Vivi was opening up more that she had been to everyone. Jolon was glad. "Yeah, I'm fine also," he said and lay down next to her. Vivi was a wolf he felt comfortable to sit by so he did. He noticed she had been looking at the sky and so he glanced at it then looked back down at her. "I'd thought you'd be asleep by now, but here you are looking at the sky by yourself," he said with a questioning sort of tone.

"Eh, I woke up just moments before you got here, and couldn't go back to sleep. So I came out here." She said, not feeling the slightest bit surprised that he had laid down by her. Vivichi stared at the stars again, closing her eyes and imagining them as a light show, dancing. Quickly she opened them, not wanting Jolon to think she'd fallen asleep, and he was barely noticable by his amber eyes. Vivichi streched a little, getting herself more comfortable on the hard, cold ground. The warmth from Jolon's fur was the only thing keeping her from running back into the cave. Her eyes stayed up on the sky, aware of Jolon looking at her. "Sometimes I feel like some one is watching me from up there. I've always wanted to talk to a spirit wolf, and just ask them if they've seen me and what they think of me." She turned her head to look at Jolon. "I know it's wierd, but I never knew my family. I've always wanted to meet them. But I guess that's better than getting to know and love them and having to loose them." She said sadly, thinking of Jolon in particular. She hoped that she didn't upset him by saying so, but inside she pitied and cared about him. If it hadn't been for Jolon's friendliness, she would have said something like "At least you're not missing an eye." But now, she didn't even care about all of that. The thought didn't even come to her. In fact, to her she hardly even noticed that she was half blind.

"Oh," he said as she explained why she was still up. She then closed her eyes. He thought she had fallen asleep, but she opened them again at the stars. He listened to her quietly. So she never knew her family? he thought. When Vivichi added that it was better than losing them though her words held something more. It hurt him yes, but the emotion in the words cut through him hard. The way she was trying to make him feel better told him she pitied him. Jolon hated being pitied by someone. He was glad for her concern, but to pity him? His gaze was no longer warm as it turned slowly into ice again that had been melted by her earlier. "Well in that case, your lucky," he said coldly and instantly hated he sounded like that to her. The pain from her words still hurt but he didn't want to hurt her in turn. He whimpered once as he said,"Sorry, I hadn't meant to sound like that." He fluffed up his fur to keep more warm as the wind started to blow just a little.

"Well in that case, you're lucky then."
Vivichi's eyes went wide as Jolon started to sound more cold. She turned her head quickly, afraid that she had hurt his feelings, and for an instant his eyes were ice cold, frozen amber, but they soon melted back to pools. His voice was a whimper now, in apology. "No need to apologize, Jolon. I didn't mean to hurt you." She said warmly, feeling sorry that she had offended him. Her head was again spinning with drowsiness. Her eye was half open, the other closed as it always was, glittering with a warming sensation. She noticed how alike they were, not only by their pasts, but their appearances! He had the same black fur as she, and the same amber eyes. The only diference was that she only had one eye, and that her face was lined with golden decor. It was a maze, the face of a painted angel, and no other wolf could copy it's amazing detail. If only she had two eyes, and she might even be the prettiest wolf there. Vivichi rolled on her side to face Jolon in a more comfortable way, and she tried to lighten the mood a little. It wasn't hard for Vivichi to do so, her being always a happy wolf, so she gently nudged Jolon with her paw. She continued poking him for no reason, making herself look like an idiot, and hoping he would laugh at her immature behavior. Poke. Poke. Poke. "Hey." She said. Poke. "Tag, you're it." Then she threw herself on her feet to run around him in a small circle, tongue sticking out at Jolon like a pup.

He was glad that she had accepted his aplogy and that she was sorry for offending him. Then, he growled in annoyance more than anything when she started poking him. Over and over she did it. Poke...stop doing it!..poke....there it was again....POKE....grrr! Then she poked him one last time and shouted, "Tag, you're it." Jolon got up instantly at that. His eyes looked on as she ran around him over and over and when he saw her tongue out like a pup he lowered his forelegs down and wagged his tail. It was a play bow, but also a leaping pounce ready to go. There! he thought and jumped at her. His paws lept into the air and only caught dirt when they hit the ground again. Jolon had missed her by a tail-length. He turned toward her tail now bobbing up and down while running, and ran after her.

A giggle escaped as Jolon started chasing her. She had done it again! There was no time a day when Vivichi couldn't lighten the mood a slightest bit. Jolon had lunged at her, foolishly missing, and it was when Vivi started to get cocky. "Come on, I'm half blind and you couldn't get me? Pitiful." She teased, knowing that he would find a way to catch her. There was no harm in taking advantage of a moment while you had it. Her paws thudded loudly, flinging small amounts of dirt behind her. That was when an idea sprung, and Vivichi started to rocket boost ahead of Jolon. Except, instead of her light and smooth pawsteps, she tore up the ground beneath her, flinging dirt at Jolon, who was behind her. Of course, she was careful not to get dirt in his eyes, because that would just be absurd. It was only a game. But maybe the flying dirt would slow him down. After propelling herself farther ahead of Jolon, she waited for him to catch up. There was another trick up her sleeve. As he approached, Vivichi slid onto the ground when he was a nose length away, and as she slid under him she pushed her paws on his belly, kicked, and pushed him off. "HA!" She chuckled. Maybe today would be the day she would win against the mighty Jolon. Hopefully she hadn't hurt him. "Hey, that would be cool in battle wouldn't it?" She said, still laughing but a serious look in her eyes. Vivichi had never been in battle, and when she was assualted by that loner she had been unprepared. Being half blind didn't earn her much respect either, and if she could win a battle with one eye, that would give her honor. Over time she had trained hard, getting ready for the day she would fight, and once the moment came she would use it to train for battle. That was the mode Vivichi was in. Now she was all of a sudden ready to train, to play fight with Jolon. "I think I learned that before, but the whole running part... I surprised you didn't I? If you were an enemy, I could kill you right now, since you're on the ground? Yeah!" She said excitedly. "Hey, you up for some training? Well, not training, since we are both warriors, but it doesn't hurt to share what fighting tactics we know." Her smile became wide and beaming.

His eyes glittered mischievisouly as she teased him. Jolon ran after her while dirt kicked up to hit his forelegs. He veered to the right to get out of the way of the flying dirt of doom and raced after her. Then she waited suddenly and went underneath him and kicked his belly. He fell down on his stomach, perplexed. He'd not seen this coming. He growled playfully as he got up while she laughed at him. "It would be cool in a battle, but try not to attack me," he said with a smile. "You could have dealt serious damage if I was an enemy, yes," he laughed at her enthusiam. Then she asked if they could trade tactics and by that he knew she was asking for a mock play fight and had to open his maw in a wolf laugh. "Sure!," he said and jumped up at her. As he did he put his weight down on his front and landed a paw from behind her and then kicked his hind legs out at her side. If she wanted to play, he'd gladly play back with battle moves.

An unexpected blow hit her side, and she growled playfully at Jolon's enthusiasm. She didn't know what to do , so she instinctivly threw an attack out there. She twisted around to face Jolon, teeth bared in a smile, and she threw out her front leg to rest on top of his neck. She pushed downwards as hard as she could, careful not to hurt him though, so she could get him on the ground. At least his front half. "You see, with a neck hold on you, I could easily deliver several blows to your side and you wouldn't be able to bite me, as long as I pushed down hard enough. Also, I could easily trade my leg for my teeth, and crush your throat." She snickered. She almost sounded like mentor. Earlier she had noted the attack he'd given, and it was kept safe in the back of her mind. As he was in his head lock, she battered his side a little with a paw, then loosened her grip so he could return attack. Her muscles tensed to dodge.

When he looked behind him he saw Vivichi with a smile on her maw then out of no where before he could turn around she attacked him. She pushed her paws down on his neck and he half sank to the ground. He flicked his ears back when she explained what she had done and felt very foolish. She'd done move on him, before he could react. In a battle it could cost him his life. Then he playfully growled at the way she sounded and couldn't help, but laugh with her. Then he felt her loosen her grip and swung around on her his maw opening and closing gently on the front of her neck...hopefully. His tail then swung to meet the rest of his body.

Part of her wanted to batter his belly after Jolon grabbed her neck, but she knew he was too heavy. Darn. He was too quick. Right now, even after coming close to killing him, she would be dead. "You got me!" She complained. Apparently he had taken advantage of her blind side, but if he hadn't, then he had just happened to come on her blind side. It sort of offened her, if he had taken advantage of that, but she knew she would rather that than him letting her win because of her handicap. She remembered something. She was half blind, and she had to show someone she could fight. Her breath heaved out, all in one, as twisted her body to kick Jolon. It had no effect, and this made her very frustrated. A low rumble escaped her throat, and quickly all ideas of this being a game escaped her. She totally forgot that this WASN'T real. Her legs thrashed at Jolon, barely hitting him, and her growl became booming. A vicious bark escaped, until everything came back in a flash as she realized who was holding her by the neck. Jolon. Oh crap. This wasn't real, Vivichi. A deep sigh escaped, and she was just about to apologize. But first, she wanted out of his grasp.
(Mwahahaha)

He heard her growl all of a sudden get really loud and she started trying to hit him, hard. The way she was trying to hurt him was not like a game and it confused him. This was a game not a battle. Jolon tried to not get out of the way of her hits, but some hit the mark and he winced. Then she barked and then a sigh came out. Jolon let go, meekly, he didn't want her to try to attack him any more and if she was trying to hurt him the hold on her neck could help him in trouble. Jolon backed up a paw step with confusion swarming in his eyes. His front hurt where she had hit him. "I thought we were playing. Aren't we?," he said puzzled. He looked at her to make sure she wouldn't continue to attack him. Why had she attacked him when she had started the game? Was her friendship fake all to get to hurt him? If so, what had he done to make her hate him so much? These thoughts all ran into his head as he looked at her suspiciously and confused.

Vivichi let her body lay where she was, as Jolon cautiously let her go. Apparently she had confused him, in fact, she had confused herself. What had happened? A little misunderstanding drove her mad? "Oh, Jolon. I'm so sorry. I lost it. I know this was a game. You are my friend, I just got...confused. I forgot it was you I was playing with." She slightly whined at herself, pitiful. How stupid she would sound as she explained it. She still lay there, not looking at him but looking inside and trying to figure out what had just happened. Her paws longed to hurt someone, but definately not Jolon. Apparently she hadn't totally forgotten about her eye. Guilt was sweeping over like a gust of wind, and butterflies filled her tummy. She took a step to Jolon, hoping he would understand. "I-I forgot it was a game. I'm so sorry. It's just, I started getting frustrated about my eye, and how it would cost me in battle. I thought that someone could easilly get me in that position because of my blind side. I started getting lost in the thought of battle, and I got frustrated and thought I would die... I just wanted to prove that I could win a fight even though I was blind. This had nothing to do with you Jolon. I'm sorry, it's stupid."
She couldn't imagine how unbelievably dumb she sounded to Jolon. It was rediculous to totally forget you were playing a game. Her eye fell down to the ground, and her front paws shuffled as she waited for Jolon to criticize her.
(Sorry, out of muse. I jsut put that as foreshadowing.)
