Can't touch this. The hunter was beastly, the hunter ruled all! He prowled forth with his mottled brown pelt as the perfect yet natural camoflage in the decidieous woodlands; he was one with the trees, the crunchy leaves under paw, the nets of twining branches that wreathed all of the terra. He was a leaving, breathing, faction of this forest body. Can't touch this! The woods had eyes of yellowed amber as it made its forward stalk, paws ginger and patient as they proceeded through the line of trees. They had been timelessly patient the entire three days and nights that they'd been locked on this path. The path of the hunter! He was lucky, this handsome young lupine, yet to reach his proeliator years. His intense skill, practice, and discipline had led him to this bountiful cornucopia. He was the bringer of the moose for the Yozorans. They would love him for this. He'd found the moose perched just out of reach of the Yozoran boundaries, but he'd maintained a watch on the border for that first day and night. Finally, it had crossed over -- clomping along at a sluggish pace. It was a large male, muscular and decked with a vast crown of twisted wood. Sleep had claimed him, then; he'd nearly lost this king of hunted beings. But the scent had come to him again, begging him to recommence the chase... He'd covered immense distance, and seen places he hadn't even known were in the Yozoran terra! The moose bent and nibbled the grass of the clearing, a herd of its counterparts on the crest of a hill, leaving him alone an vulnerable. With a gigantic arced leap, Truffle, neophyte of the Yozorans, surged at the back of the beast and dug in.

Melina strolled through the woodlands, smelling the air. Her mouth parted quietly as she scented a rabbit, her heartbeat accellerating quickly. Excitement built up in the alphesses veins as she glanced around, looking for her prey. Most wolves expected her to be sitting in the camp, ordering all the warriors around. Of course, Melina needed time for herself as well. What would she do in camp anyway except settle some stupid argument between neophytes or something?
Shaking her head, Melina flicked her cream colored ears and suddenly heard a rustling sound. She whipped her head to spot a wolf stalking...a moose! Growling lowly, Melina snuffled at the air, her parted jaws sucking in Yozoran scent. Prey stealers! Curling her lip, Melina kept her temper and instead walked bravely over to where the wolf stalked the prey that was rightfully Siverian. Stepping out into the light, Melina watched him jump onto the moose. Her pupils dialated as anger seered through her and she launched herself onto the moose itself, attemping to knock the other wolf off. She came tumbling down herself, blinded temporarily by the dust the beast was kicking up. As she got to her paws she produced a normal posture and talked levelly.
"And just what do you think your doing?"
She cocked her head, wondering if she should attack. Instead she waited. Maybe he would mouth off and attack her and she could call out some reinforcements and take him prisoner.

The moose slammed and writhed under Truffle's determined grasp, but he mistook his ego for self-confidence; the moose was no match for him. But another figure clambered on top of his prey, sparking stubborn anger in his stomach. This is my kill! He fell from the back of the moose, chest winded, and staggered to his paws. The great hooves of the moose clambered and reigned down over his forehead. He ducked and dove away from the rampage, an unfamiliar snarl curling from the fray: "And just what do you think you're doing?" Oh god. I don't know her! He tumbled backwards, heart flailing against his ribcage. Pure shock glimmerd in the wide whites of his eyes. He openly gaped at the Siverian alphess, mind completely struck of thought. What...how...? Places...these are places I didn't even know were in Yozoran terra. How long have I been a neophyte? Am I so blind that I think the world is my hunting grounds? Oh, god no... "Er...I...I didn't know! I started stalking it days ago and then I followed it! I didn't even check...." The neophyte took slow steps away from Melina, completely prepared to dart if needed.

Melina curled her lip as the dust cleared, showing her sharp incisors. Her eyes glinted dangerously. All she had seen was a figure on a beast that was her packs', not the Yozorans. She held back a sigh of relief as it cleared and a neophyte emerged from the wreckage. Melina watched the moose lumber off, slightly wounded, but still able to walk. She figured a wound like the one Truffle had given him would eventually cause him to faint, so she left it go.
Instead, Melina raised an eyebrow and licked her lips, stepping forward. Her sharp claws dug into the ground as she kept her temper. One thing she had learned was that you didn't want to lose your cool as a mentor figure to your pack. Once that happened, utter chaos exploded. Swallowing, Melina took another step forward. She was almost touching the neophyte. Reaching out a paw, she combed her claws down his muzzle, only light enough for it to tickle.
"Listen scamp...I don't really care how long you've been tracking your moose. You had to know you'd crossed the boarder. We just remarked it today. Now I want an answer or I'm going to have to do something that you really don't want me to do."
Melina's eyes were peircing as she flicked her ears. Was he thinking torture? She wondered what it would be like to scrape her claws slowly through his fur. Inside she felt something click...she wanted to do that. If he would just rebel a little bit she could hold him down easily. Her muscles were very hard and strong and she was in the mood for a little pain. Though Melina was okay on the outside, her inside was screaming to be a rebel. Eventually, Melina could get out of hand. Was her thoughts of torture finally announcing that she was too behaved all her life?

The fearsome she-wolf towered over Truffle's retreating form. She was the alphess -- he remembered her now, standing nervously but determindly in front of her first Moonless Meeting. Of course, Truffle paid little attention to those, anyway. He'd paid little attention to anything since the passing of his parents and siblings, and the disentigration of his pack. His brother was missing. They think he's gone to live with the Sheerans. Not even his pack trusted him anymore. He was half-pack. But his little mind of his surroundings was now staring back at him in the form of a snarling female, prepared to strike at any moment. Despite her obvious advantage, a flare of anger burned in Truffle. So what, I crossed the border on accident and now I'm getting scolded. I expected just as much, but if this crazy woman starts clawing me, Pernille and Bain will want to do something about it! She'd really risk war with the Yozorans at a time like this? He held his ground, chin raised and pelt fluffed slightly to emphasize his defiance. "Look, lady, I'm a neophyte. Unless your neophytes don't make mistakes now and then, I think you should understand, or at least go and talk to these perfectionists about being real warriors. There's a reason it's the learning stage. I'm sorry I crossed into your land, and my hunt got carried away. If you really want to get technical about it, that was originally a Yozoran moose that just wandered over here, kinda like I wandered over here. Does that make me a Siverian? Judging by your face, I'd guess not. So I'll be leaving now." Truffle didn't move. He felt a spiteful smile on his face. She attacks me, we attack her pack.

((Low muse short time D' Melina glanced at the neophyte, eyes sharp, gazing lightly. Her anger built up as the neophyte mouthed off to her and she shook her head, hiding the fact that a snarl was rippling through her throat. She couldn't help her anger. If there was an anger management for wolves, Melina would be called the "unmanagable one". Clawing the ground Melina lunged toward the neophyte but stopped two inches before she clawed his ears off. Her eyes widened in realization.
"...I...have to...let you go...Pernille would have my ears...we'd be ambushed."
She hung her head low for a second before standing up again. Realizing what it would be like if this neophyte knew that she couldn't control her anger sent a shudder down her spine. He would blackmail her definitely. She would have to control herself from now on. Bristling, she shook her head, staring Truffle deep into the eyes.

(It was a good post ) With a smug smirk of satisfaction, he leaned back on his haunches and relished in the easy victory. You know your pack is totally awesome and powerful when.... He chuckled softly to himself, gazing up at Melina with knowing eyes. "Looks like I've got you in a catch-22. Sucks to be powerless, doesn't it?" He was feeling increasingly bold, though the back of his mind was silently pleading with him to back away. Just because she says she understands doesn't mean she won't still lash out. I know I'm in the wrong but...the Siverians gave us so much crap when the wolves started going missing, they blamed us! It's only fair; I'm entitled to a certain amount of mockery, aren't I?Justification was out of his reach; he began to step back a few more steps, though his confusion of motives was hardly traceable on his outer features. He maintained the characteristic Cheshire smile of the sly Yozorans and he gazed at Melina with shimmering eyes.

Moon moved quietly throughthe woods. Feels good to be out of that camp. Moon hated being still for very long and loved to be out hunting. She had the scent of moose in her nose and was determend to bring one back. She stopped to scent again, trying to stay on the trail. She soon found out that there were other wolves near by. She parted her jaws and detected her leaders scent but there was another. One she couldn't name. Thankful for her black coat she slid through the forest closing in on the others. Then she got the powerful scent of the Yozoran pack. They were close to the boarder! Had one of them attacked her alphess. I'll rip their pelt to shreads! Anger flared in her and she raced ahead. She came out of the trees to see the two wolves, standing close together. If he touches one hair on her pelt I'll... She raced to her leaders side, over hearing a bit of their conversation. She slowed when she reached them, not wanting to interfear. She staied behind her alphess, watching the tree line. What if this is an ampush? She couldn't beleive what her leader was saying. She was going to let this irogant, preystealing, idiotic neophte go. With out so much as a scratch. She's not powerless you numbskull. It's called looking out for your pack like you should have been looking out for the boarder! Rage was flaring in her. She didn't care what she felt on the inside. This was her leader and she'd fight for her with every last breath. And if that ment defending her leader when all she wanted to do was rip this sorry excuse for a wolf's ears off.

Truffle's mouth snapped shut as the fiery she-wolf made her appearence. She was a black plume of flame, but he didn't doubt her ferocity for it. He leaned back slightly, whiskers twitching as he beheld the enraged female. Well sheesh. I sure have a way with the ladies, don't I? How many want to rip my fur off now? At least three. His resolve was shaken, but the female's bold challenge fueled a rage of his own. He brought his own burning gaze to face Moon, though he remained more collected than she. He snorted in contempt of her. "So did Nightshade finally kick the bucket? She's the oldest thing around next to the dirt! But I suppose that's just where the Siverians belong, next to the dirt!" He spat for emphasis, his Yozoran snark superceeding any caution he might have kept. His pelt remained perfectly flat, but his eyes were razors as he battled with his words. "Looks like you've got a lot on your paws with this one then," he nodded to Moon. "Guess I'll just have to let you deal with your children!" He turned on his heel, intent on leaving.

OOC: Short time.
BIC:
Melina growled with pleasure as backup arrived. Smiling, she advanced. About to mouth off to the little brat, Melina suddenly listened as he burned her and her whole pack. That was the last straw. Anger surging through her, Melina launched herself at Truffle, eyes wild, snarling, foaming at the mouth. Her eyes were crazed and she was laughing wildly as she flew through the air, fur flowing evenly behind her.

Moon watched with fury burning inside her. She was ready to rip this annoying mutt apart. I better wait until Melina gives the signal or else she might rip my ears off. Moon waited while the intruder burned her pack, sinking her claws into the ground so she wouldn't sink them into Truffle's pelt. She wanted to prove to him just how completely destroyable he really was. She bared her teeth as he turned to leave, ready to leap on his back when he wasn't paying attention. She watched as her leader leapt for him. She raced around them, moving to stand in his way so he would have to turn and fight them. I'll let her deal with him until he starts to get over on her then I'll help. Moon figured that she'd better let her leader take care of him because she was more likely to leave him live. If Moon fought him, she would kill him.

('Tis fine, Flisk, it was a good post Mmmm this is an interesting thread...) SO SUDDEN, the alphess crashed down upon him with a fury that blotted the sky in crimson. He barely uttered a high-pitched yip of surprise when the honed, razor claws snagged his flanks. He managed to scramble away from the brunt of her attack. "You're crazy, woman! Your entire pack is! Pernille will hear about this!" He spat venemously at her, turning tail and fleeing immediately after. Chest heaving, wide-eyed, he retreated rapidly away from the two Siverians, casting a snarling yowl over his shoulder. "YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS! THAT WAS MY MOOSE!" Truffle was powered by the adrenaline of fear, his brush with death seeming to pursue him as he ran towards the border for all he was worth. That was my moose! I didn't do anything wrong! They stole it, and I'll kick their sorry behinds---"AHHHHH -- OW, DAMNIT!"Leaves waterfalled around him an autumnal shower as blazing pain seared through his left hindleg, caught in the hollowed anatomy of a wizened tree stump. In his desperation scramble to escape the enraged alphesss, his leg had caught in the concealed stump. Now mangled, his leg radiated in agony. There's no way I'm gonna be able to move that without help.... Looking ruefully behind him, his gut plummeted with a sinking feeling. They could help me back, or they could take me to their camp. Keeping me here would cost them time and resources but...it would stop any fight from happening within our packs. Pernille would ignore anything I had to say because that would just make me ungrateful and...."SHIT!" he spat loudly.

Moon shot after Truffle as he fled. She wanted a piece of him before he got over the border. She knew that she couldn't let him get back to his pack. He would surly tell his leader his view of what happened. which would put Moon and Melina in the wrong. He would put the whole pack at risk and she couldn't let that happen. Suddenly Truffle went down. Moon skidded to a stop behind him. I've got to be careful. What ever tripped him could trip me as well. After watching for a while and listening to him swear, she saw that the stupid neophyte had tripped over a tree stump. She shook her head at his stupidity. She strolled up to him and lowered her head so she was face to face with him. Now who's the powerless one? She said evenly. Amusement tingled in her as she turn Truffle's own words against him. She wondered what Melina would do with him. She hoped they would just finish him off and dispose of his body. That would probably only cause trouble. It's Melina's choice and no matter how much fun it would be, I've got to think of the pack first. Moon lifted her head and howled for her leader.Melina! Over here!
