Once upon a time, there was a gigantic pack under the control of one single dog called Faron. As it happens, Faron began to get old, so he decided to chose someone as his successor. None of the dogs in his gang seemed to be th right one, however, and it seemed as if he never was going to find the right dog, until this teenager, Sheridan, showed up. Sheridan seemed to have skills beyond anyone else in the pack, and Faron decided to train him so he would run the pack once he passed on.
During all the time the trainings lasted, Sheridan faked to be inferior to Faron, his ambition being to take over the pack, but he wasn't like going to wait for Faron to die of a natural cause. While learning the gang leader's tricks, he waited for the right moment to strike - when at least half of the pack was in his side. Everything seemed to go just fine until this she-dog named Jae showed up. Charmed by her beauty, Faron fell in love with Jae almost in the very instant he knew her...
But so did Sheridan.
Jae didn't love him, but that didn't matter, who said 'no' to Faron, the greatest gang leader there ever existed? It is said that Faron force-bred her, and this made the pack's internal tensions explode. Sheridan came and openly challenged him, and Faron, thinking the pack was still his side, feared not to accept. It was in this fight that Sheridan revealed himself as a much better fighter than Faron, and killed him.
Immediately war began, and the half that still was with Faron killed Sheridan in revenge, fact that caused Sheridan's half to fight with more fury; but the result was a draw. After the war, the pack split into two. And the part that had been with Sheridan renamed themselves the Sheridan pack. Being Sheridan's most trusted packmember, Jae took the leadership of the pack.
Time passed, and finally Jae gave birth to two pups. Crantos was the first, and as such, he was rightfully destined to be the pack's next leader. With time, however, Crantos grew to be the spitting image of Faron, fact that caused his expulsion from his own pack. Crantos's brother, Nime was then declared the next leader, as both his appearance and personality were more like Sheridan.
Expulsed of his own pack by his own family, Crantos grew with a burning hate of the Sheridan; and as soon as he heard the rumors of a pack that hated them as much as he did, he showed up there. So much he looked like the original Faron, that the pack believed their old leader had risen from his tomb, seeking revenge. Taking advantage of the situation, Crantos pretended to be Faron, telling the pack he was some sort of ghost.
As both packs continue to grow with hate of each other, the fact becomes more and more evident - the fact of that this city is not big enough to fit both of them.
